I'm sorry, but I just can't hate Meng Zhen Zhen. I just don't think she's evil (yet) and I really like her character. I hope she can be friends with Jiang Tao Hua. Maybe they can run away together. 😌

As for Shen Zaiye - boiii, if you don't stop choking our girl, I'm going to pull a A Dream within a Dream move and come beat you uppp. *roll my sleeves up*

The pacing have slowed down a bit, but these most recent episodes are still pretty good. Love it.

So I think you might be onto something here.
The problem with the rating is probably because of the site itself and not the watchers.

I don't know, but I noticed that the rating for this drama have been frozen at 150 users for a while now. Yesterday, the site / app also crashed for several hours too. I'm sure there are trolls downvoting too, but anything is possible.

I recognized Maggie Huang immediately because I hated her character so much in Ten Miles of Peach Blossom lol. She's so good at playing a villain that I expect nothing less than the very worst from her character in here too.

If it helps, the readers of this novel have said that the ML will eventually dismiss his wife and concubines and the FL will be the only one he is married to and the only one he loves by the end of the story lol.

They're political marriages meant to keep tabs on the ML. He have no romantic feelings for any of them.

I didn't read the novel, but others have and according to them, the ML have no interest in his wife and concubines. They were sent to him by his enemies to spy on him. The FL will be the only woman he develop sincere feelings for.

He already have one main wife and two concubines prior to meeting the FL.
