He is a character actor and very good on that. His advantage is that he looks like his age and he takes roles…
He was never convicted for something that wrong and that was decided twenty years ago in a court of law. Those who claim otherwise have not read the verdict or they don't respect courts of law and they prefer to play the judges themselves.

On regard of character actors.
Character actors play always the same or of the same kind characters. And that is the reason why they cast them.
It is not that he can't play something different. It is that they hire him to play this particular kind of roles because they always add such a kind of characters in all sort of dramas. So if you don't like this kind of character/s don't blame the actor/s blame the writers who add such kind of characters in their dramas.
This is not of course very creative on regard of the roles that an actor can play. It is typecasting but on the other hand those who do this job never run out of roles.

The question is not who, but why and the story behind it...
I guess for those who are patient enough and have plenty of time in their hands to watch the first 8 sluggish episodes in order to reach up to the 9th and 10th episodes where at last something is going to happen.
Excuse me for asking, but is this some sort of patience competition or something?
I'm asking because I don't understand the reasoning behind "wait it will get better".
Haven't I given to this drama enough of my time?

The question is not who, but why and the story behind it...
They have already revealed the why. Because their father ( better say parent) was in the wrong place at the wrong time. And the detective is corrupted and he killed him.(how original! ), and then they tried to cover up the murder and Lee Chang Woo took the blame in order to protect the child witness.
We know from the very first episodes who the villain is ( Chairman Kwon) we know the weapon ( the Adamas ) we know that the twins are looking for their parent's killer and in the middle of the show they revealed the killer and why he killed their parent. ( who wasn't their real father). What else is there to know?

It wasnt for you anyways because they weren't using the correct LATIN PRONUNCIATION for adamas 😔
Adamas is a Greek word and not a Latin one!
You can't imagine how pretentious is to use phrases or words from two different foreign languages and in both cases wrongly.

But this has nothing to do with the plot that keeps on repeating the same thing for 8 episodes straight.

I want the 5 dollars! lol
This thing is unwatchable because it is not only that it is slow paced but the fact that its plot is stalled. I dropped it after the 8th episode because they revealed who did it so there's nothing there to keep my interest. I don't have the mood to watch another 8 episodes in order to see what sort of bad end will have the villain that we already know what he has done and what his motives are. And I'm not interested to see the comings and goings of the twins even if they add some violence and action.

Dropped after 8th episode.
The plot is completely stalled. We keep on watching the same thing and we know on top of that whodoneit.
I'm not interested at all to watch another 8 episodes in order to see what sort of bad end the villain will have.

Did you ever listen to English (or American) people massacring Latin? All those hard consonants going soft, all…
I've just pointed out how wrong it is to use expressions that they don't know how to pronounce them and nothing more.

As for the drama I'm dropping it after watching the 8th episode because the plot is stalled.
We keep on watching the same thing.
There is nothing there to make this drama interesting as they revealed in the process at the 7th episode who killed their father, something that wasn't either way the most interesting part of the plot but ok... it added something to this boring thing. Now there is nothing there.

Dead language means that it is a language that it is not used frequently and so it doesn't evolve. It doesn't mean though that those who use it, can pronounce it with whatever way they like, because if they do so the language will not sound like Latin. And if you think a little about it, if they have no intention to pronounce Latin expressions in a comprehensible manner, then what is the point of using them?
It is better to avoid to use something that you are not sure about its meaning or its use, than trying to prove that you are knowledgeable by using wrongly such kind of expressions.

I agree. The u at the end is what is killing it. But it is also that they call it Adamas instead of adAmas (capital A where the tone should be).
adAmas means diamond and if one is very keen to pronounce it absolutely correctly then it is pronounced as athAmas
( th as in the word this). There is no letter d in Greek language. There is th..
So they pronounce it completely wrong. They say Adamasu. ( what is this? lol )
As for the persona non grata, There wouldn't be any chance to understand what they said if I didn't read the subtitles. Ok.. I don't speak Korean in order to understand what they say in Korean, but WTF... I can read Latin ( not speak as it is technically a dead language. It is spoken only in Vatican). But I can read in Latin and I couldn't understand a word.
Anyway.. My point is that if the writers intent to add such expressions in order to show how literate and academic they are, it would be good to teach their actors how to pronounce these words and expressions correctly.

What drives me crazy is that they keep on using Latin or Greek expressions or words that they don't even know how to pronounce them correctly. That "persona non grata" sounds like bad Japanese.... lol I don't even want to talk about Adamas...

Review Why Her?
The ending of ep3 was where I knew its not it but I thought I should watch some more. Then I fast forwarded the…
Ha ha ha...
The funny thing with this drama is that it turned out to be exactly as I predicted that is going to be.
The writers dedicated two whole episodes to show us an awful female character and pass between the lines their opinion about how females in positions of power are supposed to be and then they switched the plot to something else in order to redeem and justify the actions of that female character. And in the process they didn't even execute properly whatever their intention was supposed to be.
It is surreal on how predictable that turned out to be.
I personally can't waste any more my time to watch such kind of dramas. And I don't know if you noticed it yourself that 2022 is the year with the most "weak" and uninteresting dramas ever.
I have already dropped most of the dramas and I've start to get disappointed.

Review Why Her?
Yes but the approach is that of the males' point of view. That powerful women are heartless bitches and that this…
No. A woman CAN be successful with her skills and her intelligence. And she doesn't have to be neither a bitch nor a psycho in order to achieve that.
I live in the real world and I have female friends that are lawyers and work and they are successful in their law firms and none of them had ever the need to behave this way.

I didn't need to watch the rest of the episodes because I was certain in advance that they will try to redeem the actions of the female character that they've depicted on the first two episodes.
Two episodes though, are way too much of screen time to depict a character. They invested so much of the screen time of this drama to depict just one of the main characters with some very specific negative for females characteristics and then they switched to something else in order to redeem the actions of this character and distract the attention of those viewers who might have thought that something is completely wrong with that FL character.
It is obvious that this was done in purpose. The first two episodes served intentionally ( or unintentionally?? - if that is the case then the writers are idiots) a very specific ideological agenda.

And the most worrying thing is that those who kept on watching this drama pushed aside what they've saw on these two first episodes!

No thank you. You will not persuade me to watch this drama. As I've said in my review I've dropped because I don't agree with its message. These two episodes were this drama's doom.

Review Why Her?
Yes but the approach is that of the males' point of view. That powerful women are heartless bitches and that this…
I'm afraid that you've missed my point.
The first two episodes that made me drop this drama depicted a completely distorted version of what women in positions of powers are supposed to be.
They showed a character that is despicable and I have already analyzed the reasons why on my review and on my replies on the comments below that I would suggest to read them.
Then as I predicted the show moved on to something different in order to distract the viewers attention from those first episodes and "absolute" somehow the FL character.
They've made this character switch to something completely different and those who eventually watched this drama forgot completely what they've watched on the first episodes and went on commenting on the romance of the FL with the ML and such things.
But the message of the first two episodes is still there. And they passed it.
And the message is completely sexist and yes it is from the males point of view and shows to the 15-20 year olds who are the viewer base of such dramas how they'll supposedly look like if they ever dare to become so successful in their job.

See how you wrote it your self: I'm quoting you.
you "need" something or someone to remind you of your "true" self.

Who sets that this is the true self of successful women and who says that a woman that has the qualifications to become so successful will become a so distorted person that will need someone else to remind her how she used to be?!

The message has already passed. And it has nothing to do with my personal bias because I'm neither a person in a position of power nor any kind of fifth wave feminist.
But fgs... this show doesn't even stand for the first wave feminist values! It undervalues female success to the lowest point there is, and it offends the intelligence of its female viewers.

Sexist S. Korean males?!Except this show was written by a woman lol.
Yes but the approach is that of the males' point of view.

That powerful women are heartless bitches and that this is the only way for a woman to become successful at any profession and she needs a man to make her realize her softer side which is always that of a soft indecisive immature girl and that is probably the reason why she is attracted by the younger man, because the older ones are way too hardcore for her soft but hidden sugar and pink feeling.

My little pony and business... all in one...

He raped a minor. Excuse us for not thinking he deserves a public platform.
He said that she told him that she was older.
But you didn't answer my question?
Did the court run after her parents for neglecting and exposing their under aged daughter in danger?
No it didn't. Because she was already above the age of consent and she was already above the age that the parents or guardians have the right to interfere to their already grown up children's personal affairs.

My point is that we can't have it both ways. To be adult enough to choose for our affairs, vote, drive and have credit cards arrange our future contracts and sign them , but not adult enough when things don't go in our way. If she wasn't an adult then her parents should have been prosecuted and punished hard for exposing their daughter in danger.

She consented to have an affair with him in order to get a role and when she didn't give her the role she accused him for a rape that she wasn't able to prove at the court.

But bringing up false accusations for rape or domestic abuse ( as Amber Heard did recently) is butter on the bread of the real rapists.
The true victims of abuse ( sexual or other ) never get justice because there are some other people that abuse their rights in order to get what they want. The new role, the fortune of the ex husband, fame, money and so on.

And no I can't feel sorry for her. The moment that she decided that giving him sex to get a role was a good deal for her, she lost any kind of sympathy or empathy by my side. Because she should have known ( as most of you know) by that age that it is not moral, or beneficial for any person's decency to use his or her body as a exchangeable currency for such kind of favors.
