He raped a minor. Excuse us for not thinking he deserves a public platform.
According to what I've read online, 18 is the age that S. Koreans are allowed to vote, get their driving license, having affairs and so on, but the age of full majority is at 19, She was 18+ when she started the affair with him, and by the time that the affair ended she was probably already 19 and thus a full adult by all legal means.
He had no obligation to give her anything if you think about it. They just had an affair, they had not singed any private contract. And the promise that he allegedly made to her shows that their affair was based on mutual interests, other than whatever personal sympathy or sexual chemistry it might existed between them.
She wasn't a child. She was way older than the age of consent, a few months before becoming a full adult in the S. Korean style in other words 18+ ( and probably already an adult when they split ) she accepted his offer and stayed with him long enough in order to eliminate any doubt that she was with him with her own will.
She brought up the matter of the age only because he didn't keep his promise to give her a role ( or perhaps the role that she was after). And she had the audacity to claim that in a court of law.
Ok let me put the thing in different terms. If she was indeed that much incapable to decide for her self at the age of 18+ then what were the responsibilities of her parents or guardians that allowed her to go all by her self to the set, date Lee Kyung Young, and allowing her to arrange all by herself for her upcoming roles with such ways?
Did the court run after her parents for neglecting that poor 18+ old "child"? I bet not.
It’s still rape, he said he would give her roles if she slept with him. Plus power abuse.
Whatever was or is the age of consent, the woman that accused him for deceiving her was 18+ that is the age of majority all around the world except S. Korea. She was way to old to claim that she didn't consent particularly by the time that the affair between them lasted for quite some time. But he was never convicted for rape, but just because he "deceived" her and she didn't gave her a role afterwards. But such kind of "deals" are done only between two consenting persons. He made her an offer and she accepted. If he used his reputation as an actor to get chicks in his bed by promising them roles, she used her beauty and sex to make him give her those roles. The both exploited and exchanged whatever each of them had in abundance. And that doesn't make him a rapist let alone a child rapist.
If he gave her the role she would have shut it up and she would have moved on and advanced her career, probably with the same method.
My point is that her morality is not any better than his because she accepted his offer knowing exactly what she was doing because she stayed in an affair with him long enough to eliminate any doubt that he forced her into that affair.
Dropped it at episode four ,, very disappointed of Ji sung's drama really disappointed the writer ruined the whole…
Yes but what is the point of being twins? It doesn't serve something into the plot. It is not that they cooperate or swap identities or something similar. So they could have cast another actor to play the other brother. Anyway.. the problem is not that much the cast of this drama but the plot that is stalled already after four episodes.
How is it getting better. They repeat the same thing again and again for four episodes straight. The first twin tries to find who killed their father with the most boring investigation ever and the other one is at the mansion and he wants to steal the Adamas shaft lol and that's it. Nothing is progressing in this plot. Did we learn something knew or something happened or there is some sort of interesting twist perhaps? The plot is literally stalled.
Meanwhile they are still casting a man that was convicted of child prostitution /rape in every k drama under the…
He was never convicted for child prostitution let alone for rape. Inform yourself because the courts decided something different from what you claim. The woman that accused him was 18+ so definitely not a child and the rape accusations were never proved in a court of law.

Sluggish up to the fourth episode with problematic characters, sets and situations. The twin main characters don't interact, Mrs. Kwon ( the head battler) looks like a comic relief ( who can take seriously the Korean version of Miss Piggy, let alone get scared of her? lol ), the mansion looks like a hotel ( and probably is) and the Adamas looks kitschy. Like a low quality glass decorative ornament! I'll watch the next two episodes just in case it gets any better but I'm already bored. 2022 looks to me like the year with the worst dramas ever. I have dropped more dramas than those that I have completed.
Are you supporter of cancel culture? The same one that tried to cancel Johnny Depp?
Ok... I apologize for misunderstanding your comment. It is difficult to understand written sarcasm. I don't have any objection on what you say. I'm completely against cancel culture as it is based on rumors that spread online like fire by people with mob mentality and destroy peoples' lives and reputations. The most recent example is what happened to Johnny Depp that was never charged about anything but he had to prove his innocence either way in a court of law in order to stop his ex from spreading false rumors and accusations against him. Same applies to Lee Kyung Young who has been branded as a child rapist without have been convicted for rape and without having an affair with a child in the first place! 18 year olds might not be adults in S. Korea but they are adults anywhere else and they are by no means children.
i hope you do realise that having sex with someone barely adult is not far from having sex with a minor which…
So you support the opinion that 18+ year old women should have sex only with men of their age. Those in their 20s should be excluded because a woman at the age of 18 is barely an adult even though she is allowed to vote, sign contracts, have a driving licence etc. She is considered an adult on everything else except on the having sexual affairs with older than her men.
It’s still rape, he said he would give her roles if she slept with him. Plus power abuse.
The age of consent in S. Korea is 13. She was 18+ but she was still considered minor because the age of majority in S. Korea starts after 19th birthday.
He didn't rape any kids... he had sex with someone he worked with who was 18 years old, when he was 40 years old.…
He was never convicted for rape. That's enough for me to defend him. And the woman that accused him was 18 y.o in other words an adult everywhere in the world except S. Korea that the age of majority is 19 but the age of consent is 13! In other words she had the right to consent into an affair that lasted for months but he was illegal because he had an affair with an 18 year old woman who consented to be with him for that long! lol The whole case is surreal!
He raped a minor. Excuse us for not thinking he deserves a public platform.
He was never convicted for rape and the woman that accused him was considered a minor only in S. Korea where the age of adulthood is 19. She was already 18 and she had a three months affair with him but she accused him for rape several months after they ended their affair in very good terms. How do you explain that and what sort of abused person ends an affair in the best of terms to come back later accusing someone for rape and bringing up the age issue? Why her age didn't bother her neither her parents ( as she was a minor in the S. Korean style) while they had the affair but it did matter afterwards? And why she kept on having an affair with him if he raped her? In any case he was never convicted for rape at any court of law.
how is he still being casted in dramas??? the fact that he has 5 2022 dramas and new movies on his list is crazy,…
He is a character actor and very good on that. His advantage is that he looks like his age and he takes roles that depict characters of his age.
Keep in mind that it is the character actors who play always support roles that enhance all these dramas. Like that actress who plays always the granmom and others that they are so good that they never run out of roles. They are cast everywhere. As I've said above when Lee Kyung Young will eventually retire K-drama industry will run out of villains, corporation presidents, dads, granddads, uncles and odd characters! They will not be able to find someone to replace him.
Why is he in everything I'm interested in? He needs to leave I am tired of seeing his face
Are you joking? If he ever retires K-drama industry will run out of villains, corporation presidents, dads, granddads, uncles and odd characters! lol He is the most versatile character actor and I love it!
