i really hate that they made haejun asking juwon to apologise bc he ziqiu would never do that, i know it is a remake but why give haejun main essence to sanha? why cant they keep it as haejun part? haejun in the original would always stand by jianjian and her partner in crime as he ziqiu enthusiast this is just sad to me bc while this did not diminish my love for haejun but i wish everyone who watch the show for the first time to see his awesomeness, not saying him making her to apologise is less awesome but that was not the kind of brother he was in the original and i feel it is quite unfair to give sanha that
Cdramas in general are better than kdramas now. And everytime Koreans remake a foreign drama they make it worse
Idk what drama you are watching tbh. gu yanzhen (arsenal military academy) i dont see any kdrama ml on his level, please recommend me character like this bc his unhingeness so far is unmatched. and what kind of boring FL you referring to? ray of light, stand by me, tender light, which part of them are boring? female assassin, female bandits, female cheaters, how are they boring? please i beg you go explore more, there are so many interesting cdrama as they are in kdrama and jdrama, try watching wind direction and tell me how ml are cold again (he is so silly) and how the fl is boring again (well she is equally silly) you are watching wrong kind of show and you are blaming it on a big whole genre whicb produced like triple amount than kdrama, try she and her girls, not a romance drama but tell me how is this female character boring again
Lol you got it all right! They are not afraid to get into the role/loose themselves in the role! that's why they…
i dont think i could ever understand people who had issue with actors refusing kiss scene or sex scene or nude scene, dont go saying it is not in the same category because it is, there is some extend of intimacy humans are willing to do with their non lover and actors are not supposed to compromise that. they are actors, but they are also human, we all had our own beliefs and principles. just because they cannot committed their whole body and face does not make them less deserving to be an actor or less good actor.
if they played the character well, then i see no issue with it. certainly the character does not only need to kiss, their character definitely went beyond that so why cant people just be lenient and respect these actors choice in the aspect of intimacy if they played the characters well (excluding kissing)
genuinely i feel like people who had issue with this cant see love beyond physical touch, indeed physical touch is part of romance but if we can not mind not seeing lovers doing sex scene then we certainly can make do with no kissing scene, unless it is veey totally romance based with the plot solely focus on romance then i totally get the unsatisfaction. since we are talking about chinese actor, they are most likely casted and they willingly cast the actors with these kind of clause so if the production team & the partner do not mind, why must we find issue in it?
imo romance is so much more than seeing actors kissing, it is the subtlety, the yearning, the tension that make a romance drama good, but of course this is my preference. there could be lots of kiss scene but it could also not deliver any kinds of feelings to me. especially for a historical chinese romance drama where most of the romance are the subplot, it actually make perfect sense if there were no kissing scenes, sometime i dont even realise we are missing it because i dont need kiss to know they love each other.
only one chinese actor came to mind bc i see people mention him a lot, so if you talking about allen, this is another example i dont understand bc he kiss dilireba and bai lu iirc, sure it was just lip touching but see how you can never satisfy anyone? there were so many drama with actors that can do more extreme kiss and only filmed tame kiss. this is why for me, no kissing is better than bland or bad kiss.
heard that this drama is doing really well locally, deserved i must say. tho i wish it get the hype on international platform as well but im happy with this too anyone knows the data?
ok, I have watched the first two ep. But the grandma favours the fl the most. and the father favours the daughter…
yes.
afaik from novel spoiler from those who have read it, her mother who died and the father first wife is her biological mother, she was not her current known father biological child
She honestly seems to ignore her other grandchildren but they seem to ignore her similarly, so I can’t really…
i believe bc the story centred around yining so we dont really see other pov and not enough scenes for me to say assume they ignore them. but it her favoritism is quite obvious in many scenes imo eg when cheng lang met miss qiao son, yiyu brother and madam lin brother, yiyu brother iirc mentioned about the grandma only caring of yining.
so they keep the misunderstanding yining had for jiaxue in the novel altho they tweak it a bit, i feel sad for him for that. anyone who read the novel can let me know why she think he tried to kill her in the novel?
This is my first ZWY drama and I'm pretty much liking his acting.
lol the comments honestly it is all about preference. i like this drama better than are you the one bc it keep me engaged while AYTO is too chill for my liking (both leads esp wang churan is my bae but it couldnt keep me engaged), and bc i love zhang wanyi to death in lost you forever (S1 Is masterpiece & S2 is acting feast) so i find his serious cold face in AYTO quite similar to LYF which made me dislike his acting there a bit (still love him tho)
so do watch all these 3 shows and see which is more to your liking
genuinely i dont think interested strangers that just met are more angst than ex lovers that still had feelings…
a thriller show could kept me on the edge of the seat too but it could or could be not angsty. tho i agree about love between fairy and devil, it could definitely be clarified as angst for some or many as it has quite sad moments tho i personally wasnt really affected emotionally, i do cry but my heart did not ache for them (if you get what i mean 😅) i can cry for lots of sad/touched moments but my hearts will not necessarily be moved or terribly ached.i never dislike any kind of tropes and definitely do not dislike strangers to lovers trope, it just in term of emotional pain i was always moved more in second chance romance, it is predictable but again as you said, it is how it is executed bc imo the longing, tension, and yearning in second chance, if executed well, is greater than if it being shown in other other tropes and it always made me feel something bc i dont consider myself as easily moved. my most angst drama of this year is tender light, it is a stranger to lover, i dont think i cry but they definitely stab my heart. all in all, it goes back to our preference on what we consider angsty
genuinely i dont think interested strangers that just met are more angst than ex lovers that still had feelings…
i definitely didnt imply most couples are uninterested and while i do think strangers who fell in love can definitely giving angst moment (depending on the trope eg. not approved by family, class problems, star crossed lovers etc) but most of the time people who broke up and still hung up on their ex are most likely to be more angsty. angst genre in my understanding is like the insecurity, frustration, depressive, darkness, sad, emotional pain basically opposite of fluffs and warmth. the feeling of falling in love for the first time, knowing strangers, going on first date ( yes one will be scared to make mistake or even get sad thinking they did bad or not reciprocated but genuinely i dont consider those as angsty feelings unless it was a very strong one sided feelings (when it was not reciprocated)) the every first...those are exciting feelings, being nervous, having butterflies and very rarely are giving sadness. i guess we just have different views of angst bc i associate it with emotional pain and heartwrenching feelings, and falling in love for the first time just dont give me that emotional pain unless it was one sided or misunderstanding trope and it was never about physical stuffs for me
I came to check how many episodes total because I found it so slow, slow like I wanted JX to see her again, but…
genuinely i dont think interested strangers that just met are more angst than ex lovers that still had feelings for each other but hesitate and scared to get back, the tension the memory of the past, the longing...not many strangers to lovers will give those feelings
Just started this drama, and I'm going to be an unpopular opinion, I guess, because I actually found FL's voice…
i feel the same about kim hyeyoon which made me unable to enjoy her acting, her voice in normal tone is fine but when she get so chirpy and speaking in higher tone it bothers me so much i couldnt bring myself to watch lovely runner despite the hype, but one day i was so bored and finally start watching and i am so glad i did bc her voice didnt bother me as much as it was in extraordinary you and i get to see lovely runner hype, not among favourite drama but deserve the hype
really dont understand drama logic and settings sometimes, they chose yuanjing bc there will be lots of people but end up meeting in the forest kind of place and quite secluded if you ask me 😭 my guess is it was quite near to the pavillion but i dont see it as a safe meeting place at all
whats the difference between this and the netflix ver i remember the netflix one was getting alot of hate but…
i think the netflix one is like poor adaptation of the book while this is the good adaptation, tho i never watch both and read the book but i would say if the book fans most likely prefer this version then it probably worth watching this first
