i do think ppl use pedo term very loosely these day just bc of age gap or minor adult romance. it is absolutely understandable to be weirded out if an adult falls for minor that looks very much like a child, but if the minors lean more towards looking like in their early twenties, it is not too weird if an adult fell for them imo.

ofc it is illegal if they made a move towards these minors or groom them, but if one simply had feelings and never act upon it i dont think that is a pedo behavior (not talking about this drama just general situation) and this is an unpopular opinion ofc but my views on pedo is someone who repeatedly get attracted to minors, if they have always been attracted to adults/ppl of their age but suddenly find one minor attractive, i dont think that person is a pedo. this situation is like having feelings for someone you're not supposed to. simply having feelings is fine to me but if you as an adult act on it then that is when you crossed the line

also in the context of this drama (which i dont remember much) his feelings developed bc she is the only person who help him iirc and hers after their journey together (of suffering from same person), there is strong foundation on why they fell for each other, i understand being grossed but that kind of connection is not found in other person in their life so it made sense why he view him as a woman despite her old enough to be her teacher (not that being a teacher stop anything bc i have been a student once and seen lots of my friends developed crush for our teacher), and it made sense why she too would suddenly view him as a man despite him being in high school, she is not supposed to but im certain if this is real life, not many is able to not caught feelings after sharing that kind of experience and connection

so according to comments if the chemistry is not satisfying or the acting was bad then ml should dump his gf instead of praising him for being loyal. genuinely idk why yall want him to be with dr oh so bad, just bc yall like the chemistry more. i personally not rooting or against between FL or SFL bc both romance is just meh to me, but i also love that the plot made him loyal till the end bc everything of him in this story centred around her. it would be out of character for him if he suddenly had a change of feeling and cliche, so i do indeed actually prefer him with his gf just bc of that

ppl gonna say i hate fun but i DO love fun it just the comedy is really not my type of fun (as expected tho GJM directing is really not for me) i find bai jiu cute and now he is quite annoying, easily said i dont really like when things are being exaggerated and bc they keep doing it, it turns the fun and cute to annoying, it reminds me of jing jing character in MJTY, it was fun and cute till it's not

also, li lun obsessive ass is starting to get on my nerves, like im interested in their backstory, nothing more painful than friends turning enemies but bro can you stop being clingy 😭

i normally would if i think it was a spoiler but i dont think it was in this case, spoiler imo when it was something big or massive information that gave more depth to the story, this scene however fell into none, maybe bc you havent seen the ep so you might think it was a big info but it was not, i view it as one of the scenes that can be discussed publicly bc it held no secrets whatsoever for that ep, this place is for that, to discuss. if people are afraid to be spoilt for every little scenes of newest ep then they should avoid coming here until they have start watching

like when they say it is more touching or less cringe than the cdrama, sure opinion is subjective and this drama has touching moments too, but there is different in shows that simply makes you cry and ached and shows that makes you cry, ached and warmth where their bonds are so beautifully done and more natural too. to add, cringe?? idek whicg part of go ahead is cringe in the early ep bc everything is so natural

they can be crazy but this is an industry that has lots of censorship, no gay romance, no transmigration, no extreme displays of bullying, so incest is definitely not allowed too

did guo jingming really wrote this? im skeptical bc there is no screenwriter included here, tried to find on the drama official weibo but cant seems to find it (i think he had interesting idea hence im always tuned in for his show but at the same time i find his writing weak, most of the time i find myself finding his show boring or just think that it could be so amazing if it was written better)

really liking the first 3 ep, doesnt find it too slow and im invested to know everything (hoping this has a conclusive ending and every questions we had are answered), the comedy is fine, it seems like GJM style but maybe it will be much better if it were more serious with pinch of comedy here and there. this drama tried to be so but probably the transition from serious to comedy doesnt seem too smooth imo so at times it feels like abrupt

you also get distinct feeling that ling xiao had feelings for her and the romance still turn weird

the romance in cdrama is handled weirdly and ling xiao is high key creepy but im sick of yall keep saying in the kdrama he didnt consider her as sister bc in the cdrama he didnt see her as sibling too when they are teenager. are yall watching things with your eyes closed bc he has always seen her more than sister it is her who never view him more than brother

it is crazy how different one preference is, i personally think sixth lady is really cute and enjoying her storyline, with lin mao it was cute but their scenes can be boring while her interaction with han zhao got me giggling and honestly would be my most fav cp in the show if they were endgame (unfortunately they are not ik she is not interested in him but they make such a cute trope).

i love yining & shenyuan individually, love their interactions (and by interaction i mean the non lovey dovey scenes) and how they support each other but unfortunately they fall under typical most couple (in my watching book) where the supposedly sweet interactions only made me want to skip 😭 as i simply cant bring myself to watch it, eg yining drunk scene where they talk under tree (?) idk if cringe is the right word to describe the feelings but it definitely got my hand immediately going to skip button 😂

maybe this is why im not really missing the romance bc i love their current dynamics (not against it if they turn to lover (which they will) or if they stay as siblings) bc the plot is what making me invested, the romance development between main cp is just secondary and kind of forgettable to me so far

been putting this on hold for years but what sets this apart from other drama? i think main cp are cute but also nothing special, honestly I LOVE WHEN HE FIRST SAW HER, got goosebump but that was it, the following interaction doesnt really gave the same feels. i remember dropping this bc ling buyi annoy me so much (hate him for obviously favoring fl in lots of situation like i get it but i dont approve bc with his position he should be more impartial imo) and i find the family conflict boring at that time but maybe if i start watching again i might appreciate the family drama? this is definitely not a binge type of show bc once i stop watching i dont really feel the urge to continue? like it's been years now 😭

cuz im currently loving the rise of ning and was reminded of this bc the family conflict in TRON get me invested, but im not sure if ling buyi will annoy me again in future ep or not, like i dont mind red flag or toxicity it is his partialness that gets on my nerves 😂 and same as LLTG, the first meeting in TRON made me feel something but the following interaction are just okay. i definitely stay for the plot and not for the romance for TRON

for those who came for romance: dont! kidding do give it a try and form your own opinion but chances you might not like the romance and find fl cringe (i do too, she is not for everyone and yangzi acting is not helping (she is a great actress but not for this kind of role))

i gave this drama 10 for the esport, the brotherhood, the sportmanship, everything about it is inspiring along with the iconic ost, it truly feel like olympic seasons etc when we root for our athletes, it was a heartwarming journey.

for romance, you might love second couple (I WAS OBSESSED) but unfortunately cant watch S2 bc they change the actress, i get why but the feeling and chemistry was not the same. not saying there were no chemistry for S2 but it was simply different.

so yes do watch it for the esport and second couple :) main cp is definitely not for me (skip lots of their scenes) but they might be for you

maybe im not in the mood but i find everything about ep1 irritable, from the transition, the directing and acting, it personally look very bad to me, even su wuming acting. i didnt recognise the actor so maybe he is amazing in other show but when he was really angry that lu lingfeng has obstruct his investigation again since the gambler died, the acting looks really fake to me, the huffing and everything. i do find the dubbing irritating as well. again, idk if im not in the mood so im nitpicking on everything but will stop for now and pick it up again in the future bc i do want to understand the hype

im sorry but wasnt most tv version had longer episode simply bc the running time and ads in between? wasnt it actually just the same as dvd version without time limits and ads? that's how i understood it, tho it was not always the case. eg go ahead 46 ep on tv and 40 ep iirc online are basically same thing without any extra or less scene

real honestly i dont even mind if there is no romance bc i am invested in the story, tho i do wish my yixiu x han zhao ship to sail but girlie had no interest in him so it is what it is 😭
