Title Mr. Plankton Spoiler
This was a good watch. Almost a good kdrama but I like complaining more than I like praising so here it goes-1.…
as for 2, he definitely doing it out of selfishness but probably part of it as a selfess act (in his pov), he does it to give the way out for her too. ofc he didnt get to dictate that for her but that is how i view it since he also said "let me be the bad guy".

all the things that pissed me off on ep8:

1) qiumin mom staying in the marriage when they basically argue everytime they met, if she can be a divorcee once, why cant turn to one again? did she stop working hence her financials are depending on him? (i know they will divorced eventually but it has been years for drama timeline it took her so long and i really hope it is bc she is pure housewife bc i truly couldnt understand other reason for staying)

2) the classmates and society that blame li si's father for firing employee that steals oil from the factory. he is the only breadwinner, his money must be so tight i truly understand, but it is all the more that he should not steal, and it can tolerated if it were only once to thrice occurence but it seems like he has done more than that, he is rightfully fired so why are people blaming the father decision. it feels like these ppl (npc character) are unable to think logically. i get being angry and feeling unfair but they should have some self awareness that it was not an unfair dismissal, he repetitively commit a mistake and rightfully reprimanded for it

maybe i dont understand chinese family culture but ML is pissing me off, since he has decided to be a disobedient…
i guess he did it out of love bc he ask the father will he beat him to death if he dont tell him. nothing piss me off than mistreated character still looking affection from undeserving people. ml gotta be my most hated character for now, bc nothing i hate more than character who have no self love/self respect for themselves

maybe i dont understand chinese family culture but ML is pissing me off, since he has decided to be a disobedient child, unwilling to clear his name (understandably) so why does he willingly let his father beat him? why cant he just walk away instead of giving the father that satisfaction? didnt they say ML have this unruly image so why is he willingly kneel waiting to be beaten up everytime his father thought he did something bad? what is the significant behind the kneeling and accepting the punishment behind his unruly attitude here? what does it try to imply? did it actually imply he was disrespecting him bc it certainly shown the opposite to me.

the drama certainly had happier ending than the novel so i dont get the complaints if you prefer happier ending. we dont know he is alive or not but most likely dead but people remember him as the li lianhua before the poison got the better of him. he went from a strong hero admired by many and he end up being blind and lose his memory at the end of his life. it is still li lianhua but wasnt it sadder to witness him like that? if it is about dying everyone dies, novel li lian hua will eventually passed with him being blind and losing his memory, he doesnt remember anyone, his beloved and enemies nor do he remember beautiful and painful memories that shaped him as a person. it is like dealing with alzheimer patient, seeing them makes your heart ache. the only better thing is novel li lianhua most likely died surrounded by people.

drama li lianhua get to retain his beautiful self, his legacy. ofc ppl see him always getting sick but most of the time (drama wise) he still composed himself well. they dont get to witness him deteriorating, slowly losing his eyesight and eventually his memories. he remains as the hero, strong, amazing li lianhua in the memories of those who knew him. when i first finished the show, i wish so badly it gaves drama li lianhua the novel ending (did not read the novel at that time but was spoilt of how it ends) bc i hate open ending and it is much sadder to watch him becoming "weak".

I find little distinction between Lin Buyi’s character in Love Like the Galaxy and his portrayal of Lin Yiyang…
coincidentally both are dramas where i do not like his performance, it makes me want to rewatch the long ballad bc i used to find his acting fine there and i was amazed at his performance in nothing but you, but his "loving" stare in LLTG and AASOL put me off that he is the reason i put a hold on finishing both shows

since i do skip a lot so i might have missed details but how old was he when he quit? currently at ep12. thought jiang yang is only 6 years older but their age gap seems bigger at the scene where he quit

Why does this remind me of Tiger and Rose?
bc this is trope commonly found in chinese novel. but it is different as tiger and rose doensnt have system iirc and more about fighting the territory while this deals with demon, this leans closer to xianxia (maybe it is) while TROTR is nothing like xianxia

i never said anything about being forced, i genuinely think this was admirable traits of lusi. i must definitely have missed that, do you know where he post the song?

i literally love lusi and while i have yet to start this, this is one of my most anticipated drama of the year esp bc there is new side of lusi acting which im excited to see. i was just being objective by giving luhan as example bc GXT also has drama airing rn. there is nothing wrong with friends supporting the drama and there is nothing wrong with reaching friends out to help promoting either, it is a kind of promotion. i have work in some events during school days and had to reach to my friends to spread about it to get people coming, it was not a bad thing. ofc i am not saying this is a fact, this was just my observation

Omg 😳 all chinese celebrities, Top actors, actresses are promoting TSOPG... It's like creating a history in…
it is not a hate comment or anything of sort but i do think she reach out to them, and there is nothing wrong with it, like luhan promoting her drama instead of his gf 😭 (romance in the alley) it reminds me when lusi went all out to make sure hidden love is a success (in term of production), this time too she went all out to get people interested in starting the show

Well, as a person who also lost her father, that scene did resonate with me as well so I find it a bit sad. It…
definitely. in my case for the kind of losing someone type of scene, i always need more depth for me to connect with personally. the scenes was too short for me to feel anything as idk anything of the father & miao miao connection, i dont see their bond, nor do i feel connected to the characters (since it was only 1ep) so i was unable to feel anything

I thought Leo was in his 30's 🫠, he's 24!!! whattt
lol right this was why i was shocked when ppl complain about the real life age gap, i couldnt predict his age when i watch the drama, thought they were similar age but did not expect he was my age lol
