I want to get the gist of thus before watching. Can anyone tell me that whether Xiu and Ning are siblings or lovers?…
Dilin is already married and very much in love with his wife. There are lovey dovey moments of them but of course not as many since theyre side couple and this story is more about politics and brotherhood instead of romance.

Title Rebirth
Is Zhuge Yue in this drama (played by Li Yun Rui) a different character from Yuwen Yue (played by Lin Gengxin)…
Same. In princess agent, the name was changed to yuwen so it would go in line with real timeline historically. Even the name of kingdom was changed to fit the real kingdoms historically instead of made up kingdom in the novel

So it has tragic ending ?
Ah i see. Thanks for the reply. Then i might watch after i finish with a dream within a dream.

Yeah AJtL kinda became my vaccine against tragic endings. I am able to handle tragic endings now compared to before AJtL. It built my immunity so i dont get too worked up as much because no other tragic endings can top AJtL.😆

So it has tragic ending ?
In AJtL, they killed all of the main and support characters. I cried for the whole of last 6 episodes cuz they kill off 1-2 characters each and lastly the main leads. It was the most devastating show ive ever watchhed. But because it was so good, i rewatched everything minus the last 2 episodes where they killed the main leads. I was traumatized for weeks post binge. If FoF is about the same, im definitely passing it.

So it has tragic ending ?
How bad is the ending compared to A Journey to Love? This one tops my list of most tragic ending of all, but i never regretted watching it cuz it was that good. If it’s less tragic than AJtL then i might consider watching.

my speculation is because of what Song Mo did when entering the palace after he found out his uncle died. Although…
The jiang family was sentenced as such because initially the emperor called jiang mei sun back to answer some accusations by the ministers against him. Because the emperor shouldnt be in the wrong, he had to sentence the jiang family even though duke of ding is innocent, because he never got to present his defense. Basically the emperor is saving the royal family’s face.

I cant wait to watch Rebirth, i really hope it wont get shelved. Li yunrui as zhuge yue is the bomb. I know he would definitely nail it, based on his performance in blossom and lltg. And i hope the screenwriter wont botch the adaptation like princess agent did.

I read on mydramanovel. But personally, if u love the drama, no need to waste your time to read 523 chapters of…
And they only got married around 250ish chapter 😂

The novel is just too darn long with so many unnecessary side plots. Like how they found Song Mo’s sister very much alive but was married to a vile man who sold her to his friend to be raped. She was not even 15 yet. Gosh it’s so twisted. Chen Jia ended up marrying the sister after they saved her btw, not Zhao Zhangfu. The novel actually had potential, but the writer just didnt have the talent to make it work. With other novel (like my all time fav Legend of Chu Qiao - i read it 5 times since i saw the drama in 2020) i keep hoping they have more chapters one after another, and i feel bad when i reached the ending, but on the contrary with Blossom novel i keep thinking when the hell will this story end. I couldnt wait to reach the end of the book and be done with it.

Thats why i sang praises to the production in my review. They actually managed to turn this mediocre novel into an exciting drama on screen with just some changes on the plot. What a feat. I really love how they make songmo’s and dou zhao’s fate to entertwine before their deaths in the first episode. That’s truly brilliant.

Girl, songmo only appers around ch101-102 i think. 😂 the first page where i read from only had 100 ch and song mo never appeared. I thought i read a wrong story from the Blossom adaptation 😂 turned out the page had an incomplete translation. Anyway, in the novel, songmo was never poisoned. The Novel Song Mo was also written to be very laid back and not as broken as the tv Song Mo who was consumed by revenge. Rest assured, song mo and dou zhao lived happily without any health issues between them from the moment they met til the end. Oh wait, yes song mo was poisoned when he was caned by the dad, but the poison only suppresses his inner strength so he couldnt fight back. The after effect never lingered beyond his 6m recuperation post father-son fall out, and it never threaten his life or his martial ability afterward.

Btw, The novel’s palace showdown is also very bland and not as exciting as the tv’s. Youre like me, i dont like tragic endings too, life is already full of that and it makes the hours that I spent on the plot seem pointless when the main couple die.

i'm wondering the same thing, i assume it gets explained later but it seems so weird that he is harbouring so…
The father just bore too much grudge against his mom. In the novel Lady Jiang was portrayed as overly-capable woman (like Dou Zhao), and Song Yichun is a useless fool with no notable capability (similar to wei ting yu) who relies merely on the clan’s title. In the novel, the late Duke (SYC’s dad) even relinquished all SYC’s household responsibility and granted it to Lady Jiang. So he just wouldnt tolerate anything related to Lady Jiang because her presence basically tramples on his ego. he hated her for overshadowing him, and wants to eliminate everything related to her, which includes her son that they bore together. And with Song Mo growing up to be an over-achiever whom any other normal dad would kill for, Song Yichun only saw him as his rival, Lady Jiang 2.0.

so is there a sequel coming from that end credit scene, there is othere stories in the blossom world?
The novel’s ending is much more brief than the tv and less satisfying. There is no epilogue or as such. It just ends right after the failed rebellion. We didnt even get to see Dou Zhao’s kids growing up 5years later or as such. Although the timeline up to rebellion took much longer than merely less than 1 year on tv. At least dou zhao’s first born (a son) managed to grow up to 3yo before the ending. And Dou Zhao got pregnant with second child just before the palace siege.

Who is the male lead in this drama… like the main couple?
Zhuge Yue & Chu Qiao. Although if it stays true to the novel, they dont actually become a couple until the second half.

I love reading the novels too because it usually gives more depth than tv. Though i cant say the same with Blossom novel. The characters feel detached from each other, and the interaction between song mo and dou zhao look kinda fake in ancient setting, like the writer tried too hard to make them all lovey dovey especially the many rounds of intimate night(and day) session between them 😂 the ending is like anticlimax, Duke of Ding reputation never got cleared because the emperor cared more to cover up for the royals, and the other bad guys just dont suffer enough at the end. The things that happen on the adaptation is the kind of satisfying ending that shouldve been in the novel. I love how the emperor loves Jiang mei sun on tv too, cuz i dont feel as much love and appreciation in the novel. But most that i cant stand about the novel is how dysfunctional almost every other relationship except for dou zhao’s and her people’s. Every other couple seem to be at each other’s throat all the time. yeah if i saw the adaptation first id be curious too, but since i read the novel first, it really didnt give much impression at the end unlike when i read other good novels, with blossom all i feel was regret that i spent so much time on it. 😂 but alas, have fun reading.

I read on mydramanovel. But personally, if u love the drama, no need to waste your time to read 523 chapters of the novel. The drama is a thousand times better than the novel. You’d just be disappointed. The novel is nowhere near even a breadth of the adaptation’s spectacular performance. And the redemption of Duke of Ding and retributions of the villains in the adaptation is much more satisfying than in the novel.

It would be nice if you could do a side-by-side comparison of the novel vs the drama. Just saying.
There is an epilogue about them traveling as husband and wife. LBY let CSS dress up as a man and a man who dressed up as a girl fell in love with her. That chapter was so funny. The guy ended up becoming some sort of adoptive brother to them, he lived with them at the border to study as a scholar but later they lost contact when LBY was recalled back to the capital.

With this adaptation there’s not much deviation from the novel except for the last few episodes after LBY-CSS fallout, they cut many scenes of the original novel. And i must say casting Leo Wu didnt dont justice to novel’s LBY’s physique. He was supposed to be a tall, robust guy who towers over everyone else, and his strength is even more terrifying. Physically-wise Leo Wu falls short (no pun intended). however his acting is of course top notch so that kinda makes up for it. I had to say the screenwriters also mellowed down LBY’s character for the general audience. The novel LBY is much more sinister and rougher towards CSS, just two steps behind the bastards of all bastard ML, novel Wei Shao from Prisoner of Beauty.
