loved the ML in this. was absolutely ok with FL not being decisive - it made sense. but this got so friggin boring i dropped it before they even got together 🤣🤣. came for the fan service but couldnt even make it to that point thats how boring this was.
dropped. too boring. all over the place. fizzled out like an opened coke on a hot summers day. writing and editing is all over the place. shame cuz the premise was kinda interesting. do not recommend if you need story/acting/directing to give you af least minimal effort
had to drop. i cant see the chemistry between these two. they just dont fit. jaspers just too serious an actor to be in this very light typical romcom style show. shen yue is cute in her role but her ML is just too much of a mismatch for her that i lose interest in the whole thing. cant compare it to the Korean one cuz i dropped that even faster tbh (fl was too annoying in that)
love both actors and was so happy to see them together. great show of completely contrasting worlds coming together. this is cinderella trope romcom done right. even the family calling off the wedding thing didnt annoy me - it just showed how different their worlds are in terms of actions. her family is villagey (theyre pegged into a certain type of villagey - not that this show throws shame onto anyone coming from a village - theyre intentionally written as such to contrast the MLs super old school money family), its kinda understandable that they behave in these weird manners. loved this show altho i did cringe at her make up thing. omfg i have to ffw those scenes to avoid melting in second hand embarrassment. definitely recommend as an office/rich man poor woman trope must watch.
this was my first cdrama and it holds a special place in my heart just for that. i loved these two actors in their roles. the story wasnt boring and hit all the typical romcom checklists without causing stress (i came from kdrama land where it was becoming nauseating). liked the build up of their relationship. absolutely fell in love with the ML actor and his mature look (despite his skinny demeanor, man knows how to take attention away from that). loved their outfits but didnt like what they showed on the catwalks/shows (it was very meh and cheap-ish). beautiful scenery. chilled out pace. weirdly i was never annoyed with 2ML even tho in theory he shoulda annoyed my socks off. i think its because the FL never made me think/feel like she was pushing any boundaries. definitely recommend to those who want to watch an office romcom.
i had a blast with this show. it gave me what i wanted - romance, some cliches, no annoying situations that go into melo territory, wonderful background feels, good acting, fun characters, superb chemistry (altho theyve both done better in the kissing department in other shows - this show sets up some serious chemistry so i woulda wanted a bit more in delivery BUT its still good depsite that). the second ML part was a tad annoying and the ending was a bit unsatisfying are my only gripes
started off well. i like both actors (i know ML gets a lot of hate cuz his acting is a bit questionable but theres something about him i still enjoy watching tbh). lusi is great as always (am i biased?!?!). its a great typical rom com show to watch tbh. nothing to over analyze. it did get super boring towards the end. it hits all the tropes if youre in the mood for that and doesnt trip on any of them (no annoyance caused). nothing wow but nothing bad either. recommend for a one time watch (maybe a repeat a year later when youve run out of things to watch).
this was weird as hell. it did introduce me to the charm that is fan shi qi. he deserves more roles. hes comfortable acting and you can tell by his body language. show is very weird and meh. watch if you are desperate for fan service (ie kiss scenes/skinship) - avoid if you want a good story/decent directing
avoid if you cant handle smug arrogant loud FLs. shes the mold for these. ML wasnt exactly righteous either but he did what his role asked him to do (altho his acting was a bit touch and go). FL was just plain annoying - both in writing and in her abysmal performance
i love this actress and i genuinely wish she got more lead roles. liked this show cuz she pulled off not annoying me altho some of her traits were written a wee bit annoying. overall dont overthink or over analyze this show. it did what it was supposed to do - entertain and keep it relatively light. liked both main actors. they had great chemistry. not the most memorable show but i wouldn't skip it. its worth a one time watch
this was very meh. i like stress free dramas but this was just meh. the chemistry of the leads was non existent. i like the ML actor (watched it for him as i feel hes not your typical looker but has a certain something) - but he bored my socks off in this. skip if you have other options. usually like the FL actress but here she was almost forgettable. tbh i was disappointed cuz i hyped myself up for this (fun premise and all)
fun watch. low budget. has a lot of holes. takes up way too much screentime on very boring unnecessary side characters. still watched it cuz the couple was cute and i like the ML actor. worth watching for him. not worth writing home about. nor will you remember it once youre done. but if you have nothing better to watch - give this a go - its not a regrettable choice at all
way better than expected. i think the title made me assume its a cheap cheesy production. its not. cute characters and fun story. nothing wow but worth the watch for sure. has some comedy, doesnt skip out on the cheese factor unfortunately BUT it's better than its rated - worth a one time watch when you want something silly and entertaining to destress.
the FL here is annoying as fuck but she is much better in season 2. ML is a charmer but not sure why he chases her tbh. overall pass time show. you wont miss much if you skip it
i love Lusi but i didnt like her character here. typical smug know it all. stay away if youre allergic to smug FLs, but do watch cuz its become a cult classic it seems. editing and pacing was a bit off as well. its an older show so i permitted the mistakes. basically nothing to write home about tbh - but keeps you entertained throughout if you take some calming pills
loved the characters separately but not together. im not sure what it is that didnt work for me. love Dylan, and discovered Qin Lan for the first time (shes so damn charming..i luff her) but the story just didnt work for me in terms of their chemistry. the set up is their romance and if that doesnt work for me, all im left with is a boring show about her career growth really. i watched it because it was recommended as an owym show - and i did power thru because i fell in love with the actors but..not really worth the time if you're picky on chemistry tbh
beyond stupid show. no reason why the FL is this stupid. give me a reason otherwise hell no. shes a moron. also im not sure but i feel like this actress does a lot of eye bulging acting in all her shows (maybe im being picky) which really makes it hard to watch.. ML simped his way thru the entire show. dont watch if youre an adult. watch only if your curiosity cant be calmed down (cuz its a fairly famous show in this category). otherwise - stupid show, no chemistry, wasted ML actor.
loved this show but not as much as falling into you tbh. definitely worth watching tho. unlike falling into you, this ones side story/plot wasnt as engaging for me personally. the app wasnt a convincing endeavor, and the other stories were not as interesting (the FLs friend and her whole thing was just annoying as was her character). the ML is such a wonderful charmer and i loved his portrayal. the story kept him refreshingly immature,cocky and shameless, a bit arrogant (but in a silly boyish way), flirty cuz he knows hes hot, and not so in control of his emotions - as one would imagine a wilfull rich 22 yr old. usually we get these perfect mature younger guys in these genres and altho its definitely more appealing in terms of relationship goals, this was very refreshing to see as it felt a tad more realistic age wise - it was a nice change - wished this actor got more roles. he was so confident/calm even in his body movements (which is hard to say for so many idol actors). definitely recommend as a owym/romcom genre.

(he likes her first but i enjoyed his lack of awareness of her at first and his slow but reluctant acceptance - he didnt just decide he likes her as they usually do in these genres - he kinda dismissed jt at first)
also - fair warning - this does unfortunately have some cheesy cheese in it. ie public confessions/proposals, weird ghost scaring scenes that lead to a weird trip and kiss thing, some cheesy ass love lines (poor ML), cringey helicopter scene etc. they are bit out of place for a fairly mature relationship concept but what the hey - the leads chemistry (they were so comfy together its ridiculous) and overall show made up for it.
loved this show. definitely recommend to those who like owym shows. i actually enjoyed the prolonged sports episodes - it really solidified their characters (and im not sporty at all. unless couching is a thing. i usually also hate drawn out professional focused shows but here they did it right). loved their progression, portrayal and chemistry. definitely worth the watch
