Hi I'm looking for good dramas without bad endings pls any suggestions?
Are you looking for dramas with the kind of ML as described in this article? If so, then Legend of Fei has a happy ending, same with The Untamed. Joy of Life and Young Blood both end on a cliffhanger; there is Young Blood season 2, but I haven't seen it yet. Other good c-dramas without bad ending that I've watched: A League of Nobleman, Ancient Detective, The Blood of Youth, The Imperial Coroner, The Romance of Tiger and Rose.
Cool article James, as always ^^ First I thought I had never seen this actress before, but then I saw she was in Fly the Jumper, which I watched on your recommendation! and she is also starring in What the Hell Is Love, which has been on my radar for some time, and apparently just started airing, so - are we watching together? :D
I've just finished watching this drama (with high fever, throat and ear infections - fun times :( ) and I noticed your review - I agree with everything, especially with the acting being the strongest point of the drama. The plot was engaging enough too - I liked how every character made mistakes, sometimes even stupid ones - because most of us aren't criminal or detective masterminds, and thus it felt like a real story that could actually happen (yeah, even with the body swap... :D). Anyway, I had much fun watching it, and it helped me get through some bad symptoms. I miss you friend, I hope you're doing great wherever you are! ❤️
OK removed Duolou Continent and Joy of Life from my watch list. I've watched PA and was not satisfied with the…
Why did you remove DC and JoL from your watch list though? It seems you're ok with reading the source material in case you don't like the ending, so why not do it with these two? :)
Thank you for this comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed the article despite having a totally different perspective…
I've always been a dropper, but I have a friend who is like you - so I guess there are two kinds of people, and being either one is great! ^^ There may be dramas that I've dropped prematurely, which have great ending, and I'll never know that. But in your case you may be able to find a gem I'd miss because you're able to stick with the drama till the end :)
I dislike the cliffhanger or potential that is left from cliffhanger endings more than I dislike unsatisfactory…
Thank you for this comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed the article despite having a totally different perspective ^^ I can understand the need for having the story complete - in general I too prefer such case myself! But I also have no problem with dropping dramas that stop being interesting to me, so I actually do pay more attention to the "journey" then to the "destination" - so this is probably where my tolerance to unfinished stories comes from :)
It is such a shame if anyone passed on Joy of Life because of the cliff hanger ending. That drama is like one…
Joy of Life is brilliant, I agree with that ^^ For me personally the cliffhanger is frustrating not because Fan Xian might die (since he's the MC and the story is clearly not over, he has to survive, just as you said!), but rather because I don't know if the stabbing was part of a plan, or if Yan Bingyun betrayed Fan Xian after all. I didn't read the novel, but I prefer to think the first option is true (and there's a nice fanfic about it, which helped me get through the frustration ^^) But it stays unresolved until we actually see the sequel. Thank you for the comment!
Out of the dramas that I've mentioned in the article - I'd say Young Blood or Princess Agents. It's true though…
No problem :) I forgot that I also mentioned Miss Truth in the article - now that drama has probably the most romantic scenes... but also a rather frustrating love triangle, so be warned ^^
This is my intake on this. There's reason why most people want to watch only finished dramas with/without the…
That's a very different perspective from my own, thank you for sharing it! I've never thought about such point of view (even though I'm also often very anxious about my own future...).
