Reading the comments here with the low rating, is this drama really messy and trash? I was praying hard for this drama not to be flop because the main casts are all strong and I love them.
Not this drama making me grateful of my sense of touch. Seeing Simu so happy touching things and Duan Xu struggled to move properly made me think how I took it for granted.
I know she’s enjoying herself in ep 10, but I’m scared because she has enemies from spirit world, so they might be able to harm her while she can’t use her power
I just love how they made Wei siblings so good looking (Wei Yan & his sister, Xie Zheng’s mom). It made us believe that Xie Zheng got the good genes from his mom’s side 😆😆 Both uncle & nephew are so handsome and hot! And they actually have the same temperament too.
Until the end, Changyu didn’t call Xie Zheng, as ‘Xie Zheng’. I mean, I love Lin’an Yan Zheng, but man was so insecure about her loving him as Yan Zheng and not Xie Zheng when his identity revealed.
I also don’t see the point of Grand Tutor Tao giving Changyu a courtesy name when they never used that name for her at all?
I was looking forward for Mr & Mrs Zhao’s reaction when they know that Yan Zheng is actually Marquis Wu’an, but I guess the writer just didn’t care about it 🙃
Why there is no second marriage ceremony with Xie Zheng’s name properly? I know he didn’t care about marriage certificate and all, but I wished we had another one which Changyu married to his family.

The late emperor was jealous of crown prince chengde’s influence having Xie and Wei powerhouse and support from Grand Tutor Tao as well. Crown Prince wanted to prove his worthy to the late emperor and get military merit from Jizhou war. What Wei Yan talked to Grand tutor Tao in the prison is all true. The late emperor trapped all of them: Crown Prince, Xie Zheng’s dad died in the war because he made Lord Changxin to not give any support. Wei Yan got was trapped with a lie, Consort Shu didn’t send him the letter asking him to come to the capital, and he came anyway to the capital and somehow abandoned the war. So he didn’t want anyone to know that he went to capital. When Wei Qilin couldn’t get the grain, he pinned the fault to him as traitor to cover up about him coming to the capital and not giving support to Jizhou war. He then rebelled and made the emperor abdicated and gave his throne to his youngest son.
What I understood is that Consort Shu was never pregnant, it’s false rumor. About Wei Yan and a maid, it’s also a setup by the late emperor and he’s drugged. That’s why Wei Yan was mad that the puppet emperor used the same trick on Xie Zheng to surpress his influence and power.
I cried a little when Changyu went back to Lin’an and she saw all those people who died during the massacre and Man Di 😭😭 Even the scene of Wei Yan imaged Xie Zheng having a meal with him made me sad 😢 It’s really unfortunate what happened to all of them because of the late emperor.
I’m just sad that this drama is finally over. It’s worth the wait since last year for this drama to release 🥹🫶🏻 It’s still 10/10 for me despite issues with production team.
I’ve been waiting for express, but the moment they release it today, it’s when I’m super busy. I only got to watch up to ep 37, will continue tomorrow 🥲

So far, ep 7 & 10 are my favorites in terms of romance, and ep 8 is peak in terms of action.
Ep 9 is good, the plot is moving well. I cannot wait for the next ep, I need more.
