Romance thriller is a very tricky combination. Kdramas I've seen have subdued the mystery aspect over romance. The writing looks pretentious. Well, on this one the romance was just so good and wholesome (for me) that it was still bearable to watch.

romance thriller is a very tricky combination. its either subdue thriller over romance, and vice versa. its hard to blend.

I believe this could've been a lot better without the murder-mystery plot. The story has a strong emotional core, and I think the writer just added the mystery for the sake of mystery and not an actual part of the core story.
