Plot is okay but this is for fans
I watch this because of Tiktok ads and I quite have 50:50 feeling about this. The plot is actually Ok since i like revenge drama but i was on mood to torturing myself so i give myself try.The pacing was fast, the storylines were well-developed until 15 minutes of ending and some of the plot twists and climaxes The ML and FL were intelligent and articulate, and most importantly, they were a great match.
Personally, i don't fond of Zuo Yi acting because she always look one dimensional character and her mimic is always same when she frown and her acting is not improving compare to her same peer on pioneer era of short drama. Zhang Tingrui has improved a lot compared to his previous drama with Han Yutong. He might be a bit too immature for a domineering CEO role, but he's very suitable for this kind of younger, competitive, and scheming character. The chemistry between the leads still sufficient to keep me watching this.
The show was average, but I didn't like the ending; it had to be a complete mess and fall into generic formula. Only recommended to hardcore fans.

Mediocre drama with artificial sweetness.
I was so excited to see Ma Lejie in this drama, but I was very disappointed. The plot was so-so, and the sweetness was artificial. It's a cliché story: because the ML d is rumored to be dying, FL marries him as substitute bride of her pampered younger sister, using her medical skills to heal him. Then the sister tries to sabotage the wedding, and the FL gradually reveals her true identities as a jewelry design genius and a medicine god.Actually, the substitute marriage was all planned by the female lead from the beginning to run from her abusive family. The performances of both leads were mediocre; the domineering CEO was annoying. I wonder if higher expectations lead to greater disappointment.
Maybe hardcore fans of both actor could enjoy this.

Bland drama with half-baked chemistry
FL who, under orders from her master, descends the mountain to find the male protagonist and fulfill their marriage contract. ML is lame, short-lived, and has a child (who is, of course, FL's, a casual encounter she had years ago when she descended the mountain, after which her memories were sealed). What follows is a journey of healing, verbal sparring, and face-slapping.The funny moment are sufficient but the chemistry between the couple is almost zero since there is no kisses in this drama.
Only recommended for fans.

Damped crackers
I watched this when i am Jia Yixuan binge watching and realized the ML was Huang Bo.Plot is about FL accidentally bumps into the male lead while delivering takeout. ML recognizes her immediately and kisses her forcefully. Later, ML gives a lecture at her school, where they meet again, and he chooses her as a student. Four years ago, the ML was being chased, and the FL unexpectedly saves him, leading to a gratitude love.
The plot was quite baffling; the first half was better than the second definitely declined. The screenwriter's intentions in the second half were unclear. The pacing was slow, with little ups and downs. The villain's forced entry was a major blunder. Many real kisses, but no romantic ones especially the first scene. The villains have a lot of screen time, and the relationship between the male and female leads isn't sweet. The chemistry between the leads was like eating damped crackers.
Never like ML characterization, he is just straight creep for me.
Only recommended to watch for solo fans.

My comedy side wont agree in this drama
I watch because of Song Yujia and finally got sweet drama with Wang Yanxin after their affair drama with Zhang Tianjing.FL who is a lawyer had a one-night stand with the ML a few years ago and gave birth to a son. To help her client, she goes undercover, only to mistake ML for a gang leader, leading to a series of hilarious events.
Okay the comedic part didn't click me and FL characterization was inconsistent, she is lawyer but she didn't know what ML looks on 5 years ago. ML was too assertive and didn't get his comedic time too.
Recommended to perhaps the solo fans of the actors.

It rare case CP works to make bland script looks decent
The script is rather bland, with a very ordinary premise. But with Guo Yuxin and Liu Yuhang pairing it gives the charm of this drama. Both leads incredibly good-looking and have amazing figures. They have many kissing scenes and are very immersive, with powerful crying scenes. ML's roguish charm is slightly lacking in the early episodes, but he improves in the later ones. Guo Yu Xin is truly perfect for the role—school belle.The entire film uses original voice acting, and the costumes and props are of average quality. Overall, it's a decent watch.

Nice premise wrong execution
While the premise is quite novel, the story wasn't well-told. SML and SFL transmigrated into the book to drive the plot, and their perspectives were clearly those of the viewers – just like us. However, the limited runtime meant that developing the main characters' story while also introducing the second leads felt rushed, leaving neither aspect fully explained. Compared to the cast, the plot was weak, focusing primarily on the conflict between the main characters and their stepmother, with very little development of the main couple's romance. There was almost no emotional build-up or sweet moments, somewhat wasting Liu Qing and Bai Yan's acting talent.Secondary couple felt more like spectators, failing to even advance the plot; the main characters had to rely on their intelligence to resolve the crisis. The actress playing the stepmother overacted;her exaggerated facial expressions always made me sigh.
Don't watch unless you want to see Liu Qing and Bai Yan romantic moment.

Mindless comedy drama.
I watched when i want to see Zhao Caizi work.It's comedic and not angsty, consistently good, without any surprises FL with superhuman abilities who becomes a slap-in-the-face warrior. FL with her sister are also incredibly cute. ML isn't very useful and fell like wallflower in this drama and there is no chemistry between the lead. It's quite lighthearted and funny, but its really don't have any plot.
Recommended to Zhao Caizi fans.

Lackluster drama.
Well this plot is too common; FL, after being confined to a mental hospital by her family for three years, is forced to marry the disabled ML in place of her sister.The chemistry between Wang Daotie and Peng Daidai is so-so, lacking a sweet and romantic atmosphere. The overall plot is very simple yet unsatisfying to watch, not highlighting the strength of the ML and FL; their powerful identities are useless.
Anyone who likes satisfying dramas should definitely avoid this.

Generic drama
Bai Yan did great portraying fool FL and her chemistry with Wang Yiran is also good.The plot is too mainstream; FL pretends to be stupid while ML pretends to be lame. FL is forced into marriage, her identity is gradually revealed—something about assassins and doctors—and the two gradually develop feelings for each other.
But it still got generic plot; Kidnapping, ML have to foolishly take the knife for the FL in the end.

Cannot stand the ending
It was a shallow story, especially with the way it started — ML's betrayal of FL and the absurd reason behind it, even pushing her and causing her head injury. Worst of all was the even more ridiculous ending FL going back to ML. Decent Classic drama despite mainstream plot.
It was Zeng Hui-Han Yutong first collaboration and i still enjoy it regardless of mainstream plot.FL is a feisty and outspoken woman, not the traditional soft and innocent type; ML is a seemingly cold but actually affectionate CEO. The leads are a bickering couple, their rivalry blossoming into romance. The drama employs all the familiar tropes, from a drunken encounter at the beginning to misunderstandings, impersonation, and a series of bickering events, filled with dramatic and humorous elements that keep viewers hooked.
One of classic drama can be rewatch all the time.

Pure Revenge with little slip of romance
I watch this because i like Jia Yixuan and i surprised at the chemistry and how Jia Yixuan dominated Shen Haonan on kissing scene.FL only seeks revenge, using and scheming against him. ML genuinely loves the female lead; she is the only light in his life. I like FL banter with SML even the force scene wasn't unnecessary.
If you want to see Shen Hao Nan break away from the typical domineering CEO persona, I highly recommend watching this. You can watch it without getting carried away. Although this character is yandere, he's blind, ruthless, and possessive to the extreme. It's not entirely forced love, but he still forces FL quite a bit. Some of the lines are really embarrassing.
I liked the ending, especially when FL acclaimed her lose. Recommended to watch.

Too many plot holes in this drama.
I watch this when i was on Bai Yan fever. Actually its not bad. Couple was solid and trusting but what annoys me is too many plot holes in this drama especially ML backstory, SML motive, the shareholders part. Loved how FL chose the love she felt from the ML over getting upset over hidden identity. Only recommended to Bai Yan and Wang Jia Mao fans.Was this review helpful to you?

Enjoy this drama until the divorce part.
The whole series is lighthearted and enjoyable, with a relatively tight pace and a major laugh-out-loud moment every few episodes. The costumes and makeup are also top-notch.The acting is solid, the plot is fast-paced, and it's a hilarious and sweet drama. Bai Yan, please stop playing tragic heroines. This drama is full of misunderstandings; the masseuse becomes a wife applicant, a small mistake that leads to a huge misunderstanding. The only illogical part is the divorce scene. Divorce is possible, but the husband is caught having an affair and the wife is left with nothing; marriage is possible, but the wife doesn't need to be present. It feels like the scriptwriters sometimes know how absurd it is, but are powerless to change it. The live-streamed arrest of the mistress and the live-streamed apology scene were quite funny and satisfying.
If the divorce scene are not here, i would give this drama more rating.
Recommended to Bai Yan fans.
