I have to say that I have not laughed this much for a while the way I did at the end of episode 3. Damn, I legit cried and started coughing, that was how much I laughed. I knew it was coming, but I still wasnt prepared for that level of video editing. XD
She uploads the next day or 2 days after the episode airs. Do you even have any idea how many hours it takes to sub an episode? And specially thai dramas that have episodes that are as long as movies. And she is also subbing 2 other dramas at the same time. She is actually one of the fastest thai drama subbers that I know.
People like you are the reason why so many subbers stopped subbing. They are doing a tedious and time-consuming job that is subbing voluntarily and for free and there are still people who think they have the right to complain. Sigh
I refuse to suffer. It's going on my plan to watch list. I'll review this drama in Feb 2021
Lol, Same. No way am I going to go through 2 months of constant waiting for 1 episode a week. I might as well just throw it in my plan to watch list and forget it for a few months until all the episodes have aired and are subbed.
Dae Young end up like Lee Do Hyun or Yoon Sang Hyun?
If they had not used Yoon Sang Hyun in the beginning then yes. But I guess they used a different actor just to show how he did not age well because of working all those years to provide for his family, while also drinking a lot and not really taking care of himself.
After he goes back to his old self he looks better than in the first episode, probably to show how this experience changed him for the better and he is now young on the inside too and has another view of life. They just made him shave, use some makeup and a neat hairstyle and that was enough to make him look better than his drunk I dont care about anything old self. LOL

Just like in the movie, he goes back to his old self. This only happens in the last episode. I know we all wanted Do Hyun but that would just make it really hard for him to go back to his family. Imagine explaining to people that this 18 year old guy is your husband/father. Yeah, it would be weird.
Hopefully we will see Do Hyun as the male lead in other dramas soon. He nailed his role here and portrayed the emotions really well.
bruh, that ending was beautiful. the ost Hello has been on repeat for me the last couple of weeks cuz of the drama.…
He is definitely a great actor and I can see him getting a lot of dramas after this one. He nailed his role of a loving husband and father even though he is only 25 years old. I cannot wait to see him as the male lead in other dramas.
LOL This was my reaction when I started watching it. I was so sure it would be an average drama, especially since they were turning the plot of a movie into a 16 hours drama. Oh boy, was I wrong. These are my favorite kind of drama. The ones I start with no expectations and am surprised by how good they are.
I only regret one thing and that is having to say goodbye to this drama. I never thought I would like it so much. Sure, it could have been better but to me it was good enough. The moments I enjoyed were a lot more than the ones I did not. This is a 9/10 for me. And I don’t give many 9s.
Cried a river. Just finished yesterday so I didn't have a chance to read your post before then. I am glad you…
Thank you for the details. Yeah, I was also angry that the FL and ML pretty much led an unhappy life since they were never able to be together. The FL had it particularly hard seeing everyone around her dying. I dont know why the writers had to be so cruel. T T

I watched everything up until the older sister dying and the son becoming the emperor, did not watch the part where he was forced to get married. So the kid that became the emperor in the last episode was the son of one of the consorts. I thought he was the son of the empress.
But anyway, I dont get how he ended up sleeping with another woman when he loved someone else. I guess it happened before they met again, since he was already the emperor by then and had probably already got the consort pregnant. Since it was a childhood crush and he could not guess he would meet her again, I can accept the whole sleeping with the other woman, he needed an heir anyway and she was probably a nice person which is why he chose to sleep with her instead of the empress or the other consort.
Anyway, thank you for clarifying. I skipped entire episodes near the end because I knew it was going to end in tragedy and just wanted to get it over with.

I know, right? Not even her son could be happy. They killed off his kid with the woman he loved, then than woman also died and then he got sick and died too. The female lead was left pretty much all alone, no love, no son, no nothing. Only the spawn of a spoilt brat that will probably be hard for her to manage since his mother will not be setting a good example for him and might even make him turn against his grandmother.
Also, I skipped a lot so I probably missed that. I get why her son would be forced to marry a woman from a certain family to become the empress, but they had a son, which means he slept with her...but wasnt he in love with someone else, why did he go and impregnate this brat? Or did she use some sort of trick like getting him drunk or something?
I think so. I have only watched a few episodes but it seems like there is something going on with Peng Pai. She probably liked him in the past and he still likes her but it just didnt work.
I am adding Tragedy as one of the genres because pretty much everyone dies. (sorry if you consider that a spoiler but the seeing Tragedy up there can be a spoiler itself, a good one, one that can prepare you for what is about to go down) T T
This starts with everyone unhappy and ends on the same note. Very depressing drama. If you are looking for romance, you better go look for it somewhere else. When it comes to romance, most of us are looking for a romance that is like honey, but the one on this drama is just like lemons. I am not talking about the main leads only, no one is ever happy, at least not for long.
If you cant handle some onion cutting, you might want to skip this one. They cut enough onions to feed a 1000 people. Dont say I didnt warn you.
The way the drama starts kind of tricks you into thinking this is a romance focused drama, with some hints of Romance of Hua Rong (you know what I mean if you have watched that drama). BUT, as the synopsis states, this is more about the male lead’s journey studying at the Academy and getting a second chance to prove his worth and show his talent. Sure, there is romance, pretty much in every episode you will get at least a romantic scene between the main leads, but the drama is not about their love story, and that becomes clear after you watch the last scene of the drama.
Overall, it is a good drama, I just personally felt bored often after the first few episodes. I was not a fan of the Academy being the stage for most of the story.
After watching the trailer, I think they took the whole kabedon thing too far. In case you dont know, when it comes to dramas/anime, kabedon is like when the male lead hits the wall and kind of corners the female lead in a way she cant get out of there.
In the trailer I saw the male lead doing this 3 or 4 times. LOL
Not really. And by the end you will be left with a lot of questions and anger. The amount of plot holes and pseudo…
Yeah, I think this had potential that was wasted. Oh well, I hope you enjoy the rest of the ride to finish this drama. It will be a bumpy one, so keep your seatbelt on. LOL
