Title Be with You
I have no idea how I came across this only now. I might have ignored it in 2018 because I was not in the mood for tragedy. But this is pretty good. Obviously the whole time traveling thing is fantasy but their raw emotions are very realistic. I cried a little, mostly when their kid was talking about the things he was good at and during the last few minutes of the movie.

Ugly maid??? She seems cute though in that photo. As it’s comedy I might just check it out.
It seems like she has a burn scar on her face or something like that. In ancient times for women to have scars, especially on their faces was enough to call them ugly. I remember watching a drama where the female lead even slit her wrist to cause a scar so she would not be forced to marry the emperor because there was this law that women with any sort of scar on their body were not "worthy" of marrying the emperor.

Title The Journey
Ugh, I kinda want to give it a try after watching the female lead in Young Blood. She did a great job there. But…
EDIT: I finished watching and if you are able to get through the 1st episode, then you will probably watch the whole thing. It is entertaining in a weird way. I never got over the fake eyelashes or the short wig tho and when it comes to the romance part, I am not sure where the writers wanted to go with it. I liked seeing her with the "Master" but felt like the writers wanted us to ship her with Ya Long. I never felt any chemistry between them tho. It felt more like he was obsessed with her and she could not abandon him, just like she could not abandon any other character and leave them to die. In fact I did not feel like she loved either of them in a romantic way. One was like family to her and the other was like a good friend.

So if you are looking for something to pass time without giving much thought to it, this might be the right pick but at the end of the day I know I would never re-watch this kind of drama.

Ugh, I kinda want to give it a try after watching the female lead in Young Blood. She did a great job there. But all the fantasy elements in the trailer make this seem silly and the male lead does not look like a male, he looks too feminine. I remember the first time I saw him in a drama I was wondering if he was a man or woman. I am afraid I wont see any chemistry between the main characters. I mean no offense to Ma Ke, it is just my opinion. We all have different preferences. If you have watched this, do you think it is worth giving it a try?

Title Young Blood Spoiler
I usually like my chinese historical dramas with plenty of romance but this one was able to keep me hooked without it. I think one of the main reasons is how both main leads are smart and have great chemistry. I like female leads like Zhao Jian. The last 10 episodes or so were not as interesting as the rest but I understand why. The ending is great as long as there is a second season....with the exact same cast. Otherwise I will feel betrayed. XD

So u watched it Subbed?
I did understand the ending. But like you said, it is an implied happy ending, not necessarily one. It was basically an open ending, which is something I dislike most of the times. The ending hinted at him possibly finding her and them getting together, or he might not find her ever or even if he does find her, it does not mean she would want to be together after all the mess they went through. For me the second season completely ruined the romance that they built in the first season. And the first season already had an open ending so all I wanted was for the second to have an upfront one. By the end of it I was so disappointed that I did not even care if he found her or not, I was just done with the story.

If there was a 3rd season I probably would not bother watching. It is a shame cause this definitely had potential.

I'm having such a hard time to finish this, currently on epi 41. I get distracted by an ant on my balcony window…
I also felt around episode 40 it got a little boring. It became focused on the fight against the japanese and Yan Shi Fan. The main leads and their interactions were probably the best thing about this drama. ^^

Title Chef Hua
This is going to be my next project because I just love any drama that's about food
Yay. I loved Chef Fang and I am like you, I love any drama food related, especially if there is actual cooking happening. I studied 3 years in a cooking school and it is still one of my main hobbies. I just love cooking as much as I love eating. XD

Plot could have been interesting, but it wasnt. The story was weak and so was the cast (most of it, not everyone). The female lead for one did nothing for this. Be it her looks or acting, nothing stood out. It was actually the first time I saw this actress and I have watched hundreds of chinese dramas. The ending was as bad as the rest of the drama. Definitely not something I would recommend.

Title Dr. Cutie
I liked it but there were a few plot holes or things that were not addressed. I also did not understand why it took the male lead so long to find out she is a woman or why the whole finding out about their childhood together was treated as something of barely any importance. The ending was nice but the last few episodes were just too cliché and dramatic with the whole "impossible love" thing. That made it hard for us to get enough romantic scenes. Not that they are ever enough tho. Lol

But overall it was a nice drama, my cup of tea. Just not my favorite kind of tea.

I know what you mean. But so is the whole ghost thing. This is a fantasy so you kind of have to let go of logic…
Yeah, but I usually wait for the second season of a drama to come out if I have not watched the first season yet. Imagine I did watch it when I first came across it in 2017. It would now be 3 years waiting for the second season. It is hard enough to wait 1 year, imagine 3 or more.

If her return is found out by her family and friends (and she ends up leaving after 49 days), they will all suffer…
Yeah, I hope it happens like that too. I mean, the only thing stopping her from going back to him is his current wife but we can tell that their marriage is not working anyway and we saw her with the divorce papers so...

There is another issue tho. How is she going to get her place back in society? She is supposed to be dead. I can think of a few ways they can handle that but it wont be easy. But I kinda like all this complexity. Or there would be no plot.

Wait, who dies in the first season? Not the main leads, they are cast in the second season. I am asking as I have not watched it yet. Waiting to see if a second season comes out before I watch the first one.

It did not meet my expectations. They gave him a role way too similar to his previous one in Poo Bao Indy Yayee Inter but the difference is that the story here and the chemistry with the leading lady was not as good. I was never invested in this drama. There are several issues with the plot and finishing it felt like a task. Not even Weir was able to make this interesting for me.

Yeah, I did not like the ending of that drama. But here I am ok with her living, definitely not ok with her dying so I might have set myself for disappointment. But oh well, at least I am already prepared, better than when one of the main leads suddenly dies at the end without any warning of it happening, now THAT really bothers me. T T

About the story description: isn't everyone "single since birth" until they marry. Or, was she born without the…
Yeah I think they meant to say she has been single all her life, meaning she never dated. Single is used formally to describe someone who is not married but in common daily life single means having no romantic partner, which could be a husband or simply a boyfriend. Usually people dont say they are single if they are dating but not married. In some documents the single option was even changed to "not married" for that same reason. So yeah, "single since birth" = never had a boyfriend in her entire life. XD

I know what you mean. But so is the whole ghost thing. This is a fantasy so you kind of have to let go of logic and realism a little bit. As long as what happens makes sense in the story. I dont believe in ghosts and I rarely watch dramas or movies with them but I took out my brain for this one and am able to watch it like that. LOL

I so far enjoy the complexity of the situation. I am especially looking forward to seeing her spend time with her daughter. ^^

I will keep checking wether someone will pick this up and sub it :) I really wish there was some kind of Netflix…
https://www.iqiyi.com/intl/play/19rr5n142o

The subs are kind of funky, probably machine generated but might have had some human correction cause they are still understandable somehow, at least so far. But I have only watched like 5 minutes of the first episode. I will come back here and edit my comment if the subs get worse later on.

EDIT: yeah, about that...the subs are not good enough for me to be able to sit and watch 40 eps of this. They did not seem that bad at first but the first few minutes were basically a horse race so there was not a lot of talking, and just people shouting hao hao hao. Lol

I guess I will have to wait to see if they fix it later.
