I just watched a couple of videos on Instagram about the ending. I'm really hoping it's not only a few minutes…
Sorry to break it to you but that is pretty much it. The writers waited until the last episode for them to get back together and the male lead did not accept her right away (which he was in his right to do and should have taken even longer after all she did to him) and in like the middle of the last episode they finally get back together, there is a kiss and a few scenes of them and then at the end of the episode he comes for a short visit and they like hug and there is a forehead kiss or something and thats it.
I was disappointed. I needed more of them together after like 20 episodes of the female lead being an idiot and having to put up with the second male lead’s annoying face.
reading some comments, I don't know if i should start this drama. i was really looking forward to it, but don't…
If you’re in it solely for the main couple, then watch the first half or so, until episode 20 something and then watch the last episode, cause they only get back together then. I loved and hated this drama at the same time. The male lead is just such a great man and the female lead does not seem to appreciate him enough. :(
I will be honest, I was disappointed. I wanted to see some good romance and the main leads overcoming obstacles TOGETHER. That is not what happened. The first half or so was good, then everything went downhill solely because of the female lead. The problem was not what society or her parents would think, the problem was that she herself felt ashamed of the whole idea of being in a relationship with a younger guy. She built walls around her and then complained about how she could not climb them. She treated her boyfriend as "the mistress" even while dating him. She never owned up to the fact that they were in a relationship and used a substitute when in social situations, aka the manipulative and the "let me take advantage of the situation" second male lead.
It was one of those rare times when I felt the female lead did not deserve the male lead. He was just too good for her and it was obvious that he loved her more. The ending was not bad but it felt like there were things missing or that there should have been more. There were several episodes prior to the ending where I felt nothing really was happening and they should have used that time to wrap up things a little better.
It was not a bad drama, I enjoyed it...especially when the female lead was not being a ***** and the second male lead was nowhere to be seen, but it definitely did not meet my expectations.
Agreed, but not sure how would I change it? If I can't answer that question, then I won't be so judging. The beginning…
That is the thing tho. They were portraying a serious topic like North Korea and most of the first half they followed that direction with a few comedic and touching scenes here and there. Then it became more of a "you are in kdrama land" and some characters just happen to come from NK. There were many inconsistencies from that point on and the story became less and less interesting for me. The romance would have been just as good, if not better, had their first time meeting been in NK. All the coincidences building up to that were unnecessary. They could have still gone for the same ending as both leads had a special connection with that country and it was a place where they could safely be together. No need to have been there and met or almost met in the past. The picture, the piano song, the recording, they were all added for the sake of the "it was fate that brought us together" storyline. And for me the drama did not need any of that and had it never gone towards that direction and it would have probably kept me as invested as I was in the beginning.
Am I the only one who is super excited to watch this drama but is also afraid to watch it in fear that it will…
Tragedy is one of the tags, so brace yourself for impact. It might be there just because the mother is dead but who knows, they might kill someone else by the end of the drama....it might even be the little kid. They can be cruel sometimes.
This is literally the remake of a movie I watched a long time ago starred by Lindsay Lohan but instead of having the length of a movie, it drags the exact same plot as the movie for 11 hours. Is it bad? Not really. But it is not anything special either. I imagine people who really liked it either never watched the movie and the plot was completely new to them or they are HUGE fans of the movie. I fit neither of these categories. I watched the movie and kind of liked it at the time (I was a teenager then lol) but did not love it.
So for me this was neither bad nor good. It was just average and I will probably forget about ever watching it pretty soon.
Ok. I thought maybe you said that because you were deciding if you were going to watch it or not and my comment made it easier for you to decide. I agree with what you said about NK. the drama’s depiction of NK was very romanticized, probably because NK would find out about the drama and if they showed the cold hard truth about NK, they might have tried to do something against SK.
I agree with you, I liked the drama so much, but I wished it was more realistic. I hated all those coincidences…
Yeah. I loved it at first...when I thought they met for the first time when she literally crashed into NK. lol I was so invested in the first half or so but as these coincidences kept happening, although many might have loved it, for me it started to lose its spark. I still kept watching because I liked so many characters and wanted to know the rest of the story, but I was not in love with the drama anymore. The ending was realistic and at the same time left a lot unexplained. But it was the ending I expected since the beginning. There were a lot of hints here and there that it would end that way.
I liked it but I did not love it. I think the issue for me was how they went for a more typical kdrama that you would expect from a few years back with the whole fate thing. They created way too many coincidences that were sold as fate but like anything else, when something is too much, you get tired of it. I wish they went for a more realistic approach to their romance. Like, how would she know how to play by memory a piano song she heard only once years ago? There were several things that were anything but logical and I cannot pretend they never happened.
For me, the only thing that makes this drama different from any other average kdrama is the plot unfolding mostly in North Korea, something that has not been done that often yet.
2 days ago, a photo of them together circulated on weibo. They didn't confirm anything but fans congratulated…
The one I found is the same as the one Maryam shared. Hopefully someone will sub it. I am just surprised it is not on the official yt channel when they have the entire drama subbed. They even have several bts of the filming of that special episode, yet the actual episode has not been released, at least not yet.
Yeah its suck, but storyline better than season 1, you should try to watch this, think as , like you watch a new…
If they had changed both main leads, yeah, I would be able to think of this as a new drama. But the male lead is the same and they just changed the female lead so I wont be able to disconnect from the first season. And since this was a drama that I did not even like that much, I would rather use my time watching something else.
Since the synopsis is not doing anything for this drama and no one is talking about it, I will do you guys a favor and watch it and then come back here and share my thoughts on it.
Tbh, at first I was not going to watch it but then was like meh, have nothing better to do anyway, might as well watch it.
Eh, I felt his feelings for Kandi and Youyou overlapped. He started to have feelings for Youyou before he really…
Yeah, that was the issue for me. You just dont go from a ten years old love to loving someone you just recently met....unless you realize what you felt previously was not actually love.
It depends on what are your preferences. But I can tell you that it is worth watching just for that ending. You can read my spoiler comment if you want to know why I think the ending is worth watching this.
At times I felt bored, at times I felt it was being too dramatic, but most of the time I liked it. Then the ending…
The full last episode is dedicated to wrapping up things nicely and we are given a wedding, the birth of their sons (triplets lol) and a last scene where the triplets are already toddlers and are going (supposedly) on a trip with their mother, and of course the father is not going to stay behind.
I had to increase the rating a little after that ending. :P
At times I felt bored, at times I felt it was being too dramatic, but most of the time I liked it. Then the ending came and I was like YES. A drama that gave us the ending we have wanted for so many other dramas and rarely got.
