Yeah, I really hope the story is different cause I have a hard time watching remakes. What is the point of watching…
True. There have been stories that I could not forget and wanted to see again. And it is also true that watching the same story with better direction, actors that have more experience and better image and sound quality is worth it. I have watched remakes I liked. What I meant is that between watching a remake and a story that is similar but improves in the sense that it does not replicate the things I did not like that much about the original, I choose the second.
Also, in this case the original is not that old so I would rather watch an improved version of the story with a little less drama. The miscarriage is painful enough so having the male lead marry her and being by her side because he loves her and not because of responsibility is a lot easier to watch than the original. I felt so bad for the female lead in the original. I hope the saddest thing this version has is the miscarriage and there are no huge drama like getting a divorce and then finally getting back together at the last episode or something.
This is only my personal opinion. I also like the main actors here and know they have awesome chemistry so I would rather have this one be more romantic and sweet rather than dramatic. I know there will be some drama, there is no way you can avoid that when the summary literally mentions the miscarriage, but I hope there is not too much.
The most recent episodes (9-12) show that the drama is slowly getting better. He seems to be getting more and…
Yeah, I know. This drama would be a lot more interesting if it went for a more realistic, kind of slice-of-life thing. But they have to put drama everywhere. lol
I think someone had already mentioned that was not the case. I am still not going to watch it anyway because I cannot see how a story about a man getting involved with 6 different women would be interesting in any way. And the rating is pretty low too so there is nothing that makes me think this is worth giving a try.
I know, right? I am so angry right now. Why? Out of all people, why him? I would have already been pretty angry if she went back to the cheating piece of trash but the writers were able to write an ending that was even worse than that. Oh, how I regret wasting my time watching this. I have no idea what to watch next that is light enough to make me forget how frustrated I am right now....maybe kittens? Sigh T T
EDIT: Ignore anything I said in the spoiler below as 5 MONTHS AFTER I completed this drama I found out that there…
OH NO NO NO NO, you did NOT just do that. You could kill off pretty much anyone in this drama but NOT Pong. I was expecting her to lose the baby and that was already very frustrating for me but the writers decided to make the ending even worse. And what was that BS sentence at the end? It is not that the meaning behind it is wrong, it just did not match the reality of that ending. According to it, the ones suffering the most should have been the cheating husband and the mistress yet they kill off the innocent Pong and leave the female lead who had already gone through a lot of crap without her future husband and her baby without his/her father. And they even dare to hint at the female lead possibly accepting back her cheating ex-husband and having him be the father of her child, position which belonged to Pong.
Toon’s character was so wasted too. She was as crazy as the second female lead so I expected her to do something. I imagined a lot of possibilities for the ending and a lot of people possibly dying. Toon might decide she had enough and kill Gaet, Gaet might try to kill Risa and end up killing the doctor, Gaet could also try to kill herself since she went nuts, Mah might have died when Gaet pushed her, so many possible deaths. But NOT Pong. Oh NO NO NO, that was where I drew the line of how frustrated I was willing to become after finishing this.
I am writing this rant because I wish I knew Pong would die before I started watching. I would NEVER have wasted my time watching this if I knew it was possible for the ending to be worse than just the female lead going back to the cheating ex-husband instead of staying with Pong. And the writers managed to do just that - give us the worst possible ending. If their goal was to leave the viewers frustrated, then they did a pretty good job.
EDIT: Ignore anything I said in the spoiler below as 5 MONTHS AFTER I completed this drama I found out that there is another ending. I did not know about this since the subber only recently released it. Anyway, just skip the last episode and watch the alternate ending since it follows exactly the same direction as the original last episode BUT it has a better ending.
I usually dont watch this kind of drama. I stay away from most dramas that involve infidelity. But this one seemed to have an interesting plot since the wife was not going to just let other people step all over her. I liked seeing her with Pong and wished for their happiness. Then the ending came. (read the spoiler below at your own risk)
This drama is available with English subs at IQIYI App Website to watch on your PC.Link: https://www.iqiyi.com/intl/play/19rrhy8jb9
I know. They recently created a web version. But I watched this over 3 months ago and at the time the last few episodes were not available with subs aside from the app. So I ended up watching them on my phone.
If you’re in it solely for the main couple, then watch the first half or so, until episode 20 something and…
Exactly. The slow romance fits them. He is a very serious and cold man that is all about his work, so it would not be realistic if he fell for her right away and was very obvious in the way he shows his affection. I usually dont like when the romance is slow but in this particular drama it makes sense and allows the plot to develop properly.
So what is the fantasy in this drama ? in the synopsis it doesn’t say anything but in the genres their is a…
Good question. They could have added it because of his super good memory, except hyperthymesia is an actual condition, so it cannot be considered fantasy. Unless they add some unrealistic elements to his condition. No idea. I guess we will have to wait and see. Maybe it was added by mistake, it would not be the first time it happens.

That is the part I did not like. So basically there is this huge project that either him or this other guy who is supposed to be the villain are fighting to get. The project is to build a resort or something in the Miryeong Forest. But investigating the forest turns out to be a challenge since the area is restricted and there is always someone guarding the place (aka the second female lead who is like a dog that does not want to let go of its bone lol).
So the male lead makes a deal with his boss that if he is able to investigate the forest and find a way to make the project possible then he will be in charge of it. To be able to have access to the forest he joins the rescue team so he can investigate without arising suspicion. In other words, he joins the rescue team for selfish reasons.
But I think he is slowly realizing how important his job is since he has saved the life of quite a few people without considering his own and he is also falling in love with the female lead so my guess is he will soon start to struggle about what to do next. He might find himself liking his job as a rescuer more than his real job and he seems to be kind of enjoying this new way of living.
Yeah, it did. When watching the first part of season 1 I was wondering why the rating was so low since the plot was pretty interesting. But after reaching the end and seeing how the second season was a waste of time, I understood why so many people gave it a low rating.
Like I said: "only available raw or with machine generated subs". The subs are so bad that I just watched it raw. But since this season is pretty bad it did not make a difference. I could tell what was going on even without the subs and I did not like it. If you want to watch for the romance or because you want closure from season 1, then dont, you will not get a proper ending.
For those who keep watching, how is it going?I don't mind spoilers
The most recent episodes (9-12) show that the drama is slowly getting better. He seems to be getting more and more involved with his rescue work and she finally got some patients, even if it was because of her sponsor (the male lead lol). There were some interesting scenes like her dancing in the games center and the end of ep 12, damn. That is all I am saying so you can experience those last minutes without spoilers. But it is steamy. XD
If you’re in it solely for the main couple, then watch the first half or so, until episode 20 something and…
I would say not watching it at all would be a waste cause the male lead makes up for the female lead’s faults. He is really nice.
Maybe try watching the first half or so until they break up and then skip to the last episode and you wont be losing much when it comes to their relationship. The other half is pretty much the male lead showing he loves her more than she deserves cause he sticks around even when she starts dating the other guy and tries to win her over again. He never really gives up on her. Even near the end when it seems like he did give up, it is all sort of his plan. Lol
The only things you will lose by skipping these episodes are the relationship between her brother and his student and the events happening in the supporting character’s lives.
Agreed, but not sure how would I change it? If I can't answer that question, then I won't be so judging. The beginning…
Great analogy. If I watched this drama when I first started watching kdramas I would have probably seen it as the half full glass, but after so many years watching dramas I have come to expect more and more from the dramas I watch so I start seeing some of them as a half empty glass.
Pretty much what the general Chinese audience thought. Most people hate HFX's character in this. Totally doesn't…
Yup, agree. She seemed ok at first but once they started dating she just started annoying me to no end. The male lead had a few moments in the beginning where he was a little immature or got angry easily but he had a lot of character growth and by the end of the drama he was a lot more mature than her even if he was younger.
This one is full of flaws. The start was more or less interesting but from there it just went down. Most characters were one-dimensional and were just there. The male lead fell in love with her when and why? It was never explained. The actors had zero chemistry and it did not help that there were no kisses at all. (sorry if you consider that a spoiler) The romantic scenes felt more like MVs rather than the progressing of the plot and there were jumps from one scene to another that felt unnatural and like something was missing, almost as if scenes were cut off. There are 2 endings, a sad one and a happy one and neither were executed well. The last episode was predictable, underwhelming and filled with an unnecessary amount of flashbacks.
Also, in this case the original is not that old so I would rather watch an improved version of the story with a little less drama. Overall, it was quite disappointing.
