The thing is the ending hinted at her accepting the cheating husband back since it ends with them having a conversation and him saying he would help take care of her baby and she smiles while they look at each other. I know real life is nothing like dramas. There is no happy ending. Life keeps going on and no one is ever happy all their life, we all go through losses and heartbreak but still, that ending was just frustrating. Like you said, I would rather have her be a single mother and some years later find someone else, someone that is good to her...not make her go back to someone who did not know how to value her and only saw her worth once he noticed he was losing her.

This drama is not hard to find, if you just search "Nee Sanaeha eng sub" you will get a bunch of results and easily find out where to watch it. But since I took the time to write this comment, just search for "justanothermuse". They subbed this drama and many other thai dramas.

This drama feels more like you are observing the characters lives rather than following a story that has a beginning, the development and then the ending. That is not necessarily bad. I can relate to the way the female lead feels. It is just not the kind of drama you feel excited about and want to binge-watch. It is one of those dramas you have to slowly enjoy or you will feel bored.

Btw, I was not sure if I was reading it right and if the male lead was crushing on her or not, then he gave her his car keys without a second thought... at that moment I was certain he loved her. Lol (this happens in the first half of ep 1 so I did not bother marking it as a spoiler)

I really tried, but watching only the first 5 eps of a drama never felt like such a hard task. I then put it on-hold for a few months and finally decided it was time to drop it since I never really got into it. I peaked at the last episode for some closure and that was it. The plot is just boring. Dont let the synopsis fool you into thinking this is interesting, cause its not.

Exactly. I have watched several dramas with an age gap with either of them being older and the difference was they had chemistry. But here I feel none. It feels more like a father-daughter relationship rather than a romantic one. I have yet to finish the drama because I just dont feel excited about watching the next episode.

I totally agree. He definitely took his wife’s death really hard since in the beginning of ep 2 we find out he attempted suicide because in his own words "I cannot live without her". He also spent a lot of years after her death taking care of their kid by himself and seems to only recently have remarried, like maybe a year ago, and the way they act around each other almost feels like they are in a contract marriage that benefits both parts. He has someone to play the mother role and take care of his daughter in a way he is not able to, especially with him being a doctor, and she probably married for some other reason that we might find out later. There could be something in her past she wanted to forget or run away from or maybe it was for the financial security he could provide her. But they certainly do not look like they love each other.

I have no doubt that as long as the writers do not make the female lead die or disappear or something, he will definitely go back to her. And you dont even have to ask how the kid feels about that, the first smile we saw on her face was once she realized she could touch, hug and play with her mother and not only being able to see her. The last 10 minutes or so of ep 2 were very emotional.

Yeah, I like skinship on my dramas too. I try not to read too much about the actors cause once I find out a certain actor or actress is married, then I cannot enjoy their romantic scenes with other people as much. I like to imagine those feelings on screen being real, but if one or both of them are already married to someone else, then I cannot get into the romantic scenes as much.

I definitely would not be able to date an actor and I imagine the high divorce rate between celebrities is mainly due to jealousy/cheating. Imagine watching your husband getting all cozy with someone else and having half the country ship them together and ignore the fact you exist.

About Hua Rong, I dont know if they cut out scenes but there are still quite a few steamy kisses. Better than most chinese historical dramas.

True. There have been stories that I could not forget and wanted to see again. And it is also true that watching the same story with better direction, actors that have more experience and better image and sound quality is worth it. I have watched remakes I liked. What I meant is that between watching a remake and a story that is similar but improves in the sense that it does not replicate the things I did not like that much about the original, I choose the second.

Also, in this case the original is not that old so I would rather watch an improved version of the story with a little less drama. The miscarriage is painful enough so having the male lead marry her and being by her side because he loves her and not because of responsibility is a lot easier to watch than the original. I felt so bad for the female lead in the original. I hope the saddest thing this version has is the miscarriage and there are no huge drama like getting a divorce and then finally getting back together at the last episode or something.

This is only my personal opinion. I also like the main actors here and know they have awesome chemistry so I would rather have this one be more romantic and sweet rather than dramatic. I know there will be some drama, there is no way you can avoid that when the summary literally mentions the miscarriage, but I hope there is not too much.

Yeah, I know. This drama would be a lot more interesting if it went for a more realistic, kind of slice-of-life thing. But they have to put drama everywhere. lol

I think someone had already mentioned that was not the case. I am still not going to watch it anyway because I cannot see how a story about a man getting involved with 6 different women would be interesting in any way. And the rating is pretty low too so there is nothing that makes me think this is worth giving a try.

I know, right? I am so angry right now. Why? Out of all people, why him? I would have already been pretty angry if she went back to the cheating piece of trash but the writers were able to write an ending that was even worse than that. Oh, how I regret wasting my time watching this. I have no idea what to watch next that is light enough to make me forget how frustrated I am right now....maybe kittens? Sigh T T

OH NO NO NO NO, you did NOT just do that. You could kill off pretty much anyone in this drama but NOT Pong. I was expecting her to lose the baby and that was already very frustrating for me but the writers decided to make the ending even worse.
And what was that BS sentence at the end? It is not that the meaning behind it is wrong, it just did not match the reality of that ending. According to it, the ones suffering the most should have been the cheating husband and the mistress yet they kill off the innocent Pong and leave the female lead who had already gone through a lot of crap without her future husband and her baby without his/her father. And they even dare to hint at the female lead possibly accepting back her cheating ex-husband and having him be the father of her child, position which belonged to Pong.

Toon’s character was so wasted too. She was as crazy as the second female lead so I expected her to do something. I imagined a lot of possibilities for the ending and a lot of people possibly dying. Toon might decide she had enough and kill Gaet, Gaet might try to kill Risa and end up killing the doctor, Gaet could also try to kill herself since she went nuts, Mah might have died when Gaet pushed her, so many possible deaths. But NOT Pong. Oh NO NO NO, that was where I drew the line of how frustrated I was willing to become after finishing this.

I am writing this rant because I wish I knew Pong would die before I started watching. I would NEVER have wasted my time watching this if I knew it was possible for the ending to be worse than just the female lead going back to the cheating ex-husband instead of staying with Pong. And the writers managed to do just that - give us the worst possible ending. If their goal was to leave the viewers frustrated, then they did a pretty good job.

EDIT: Ignore anything I said in the spoiler below as 5 MONTHS AFTER I completed this drama I found out that there is another ending. I did not know about this since the subber only recently released it. Anyway, just skip the last episode and watch the alternate ending since it follows exactly the same direction as the original last episode BUT it has a better ending.

I usually dont watch this kind of drama. I stay away from most dramas that involve infidelity. But this one seemed to have an interesting plot since the wife was not going to just let other people step all over her. I liked seeing her with Pong and wished for their happiness. Then the ending came. (read the spoiler below at your own risk)
