Title Nang Ai
Considering the female lead is not an adult yet, the age gap and the ethic involved in the male lead’s job, it was very appropriate for this to be a slow paced romance. Usually I have no patience for slow paced romances, but this one needed that. Most of the drama is focused on friendship and their school life rather than the romance between the main leads, although it is there, it is not the focus of the story. Then for the later episodes the romance takes a bigger part of the plot. Another thing that I was pleased with is that even though this aired on Channel 3 and there was an age gap, they did not use camera angles to give us fake kisses. You can see they actually kiss, although this does not happen many times and its only in the last few episodes.

Overall it was a nice drama, different from the usual thai drama in many ways. Not perfect, but it deserves it’s rating since it was better than the average thai drama.

Yeah, I think I will stay away from this one. It has everything needed for a terrible plot with most likely a cheating male lead and a female lead that in the end will forgive him because he "loves" her.

Wow, I was amazed at how bad this was. Never seen such a useless male lead. It is one thing to be filial and I completely support that we should be respectful and obedient to our parents but there is a limit and the limit is when being filial puts at risk one of our basic rights - free will. The male lead was his crazy mother lap dog. He abandoned the woman he says he loves, that is most likely pregnant with his child, to marry a mentally ill woman that does not even know what marriage means, just because his mother told him to do that. And don’t get me wrong, the problem was not the fact she was mentally ill, in fact with so many crazy characters she looked sane in comparison, the problem was that there was no love in this marriage. Had the male lead actually loved her, I would be ok with it. The problem is it was a forced marriage and he already had a "wife" and son on the way.

So I ended up not watching all of it and skipped to the last episode just to see the ending and the only thoughts I have after watching this were: someone, please, get that kid way from the crazy grandmother before he becomes like his father, or worse.

Yeah, its THIS BAD, so if you have something else to watch, go watch it. I doubt it can be any worse than this one.

This is the kind of slap kiss lakorn that make lakorns in general have a bad image compared to dramas from other asian countries. The misunderstanding lasted for so long that by the time it was cleared I was already done with this. Forgiveness is one thing, another thing is to have a relationship with someone who did so many bad things. I know the male lead was not downright bad and was blinded by revenge and can understand his pain considering what happened to his sister, but he did a lot of things that were not only a crime but also showed a lot of disrespect towards other people, mainly the female lead. The "romance" this offers is not a healthy one and in real life people would not say she was in love with the male lead but that she was suffering from stockholm syndrome.

One positive thing, probably the only one I can think of right now, is the character of Ji. In any other lakorn she would have been the crazy stalker girlfriend/ex-girlfriend that would constantly seduce the male lead and attack the female lead. But Ji was different, she was a selfless person that was beside the male lead as a friend, helped him and other people in many ways and never did anything selfish that would hurt other people.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Was not expecting to like it so much. It was very realistic and I could connect to the characters and understand their feelings and why they acted in a certain way, even the ones that seemed to be bad. I liked how the male lead had a temper, not because I think he should, no one likes a person who gets angry and violent easily, but because it made his character more realistic and human. He had so many other qualities that had it not been for his temper then he would have just been another one of those "perfect" male leads, which would made his character less interesting. The female lead, at first, was annoying in what she said and the way she acted, but later she revealed to be mature, calm and understanding. Not saying her character was perfect either, but I did not dislike her.

I do want to say that there were 2 characters that I did NOT like at all, both female (what a surprise!). Each one of them made me feel disgusted at their selfishness. They both, in different ways and for different reasons, destroyed the lives of other people. Although both seemed to have something to "excuse" what they did, the one who could be forgiven never showed any sign of regret, probably because there was no time to do it. And the other one, even if she showed signs of regret and we were shown that she will probably become a better person, the consequences of her act could not be undone and in that way she was worse than the other character. But I guess this means they did their job well.

Thanks to the actions of one of those ladies mentioned above, most of the last episode was dramatic and then the rest of it was just to finish the story so it was not very satisfying.

And the last thing that I did not like but was already expecting since this aired on Channel 3, was that there were no real kisses, just the camera angle and the efforts of the actors to make it look like they are actually kissing. At the same time I will take a drama with a good story and no real kisses over a drama with hot kisses and amazing chemistry but with a weak or non-existent plot any time.

First few episodes were interesting but then it became boring. The romance was so bland . Couldn't feel the chemistry…
Exactly. I decided to give it a try even after reading your comment but you’re right. Although there was a lot of romance, it was very bland, I was not able to enjoy it and was bored most of the time.

It was okay, nothing special. A lot of times I felt bored and I could have done without the supernatural/horror element since I felt it was not necessary and would make the story more realistic had it not been there. The ending was just a wrap up of things and was lacking in many ways. Also, because this is a Channel 3 drama you should not expect real kisses, just staged ones with the camera angle being everything.

Wow, I was not sure if I should give this a try or not but looking at the rating, I decided not to waste my time. It is legit the worst rating I have seen here on MDL.

I think all the episodes have eng subs now. The youtube channel is the same too.
Lol You’re welcome! I have not watched it yet so I don’t know if it’s good but at least I found it subbed so I think it will be worth to give it a try.

Most of it was entertaining. I had some laughs too. But the last few episodes did not keep up with the rest and were a little boring and the ending could have been a lot better, I felt it was lacking. Also, the female lead’s screams were just too much. I legit had to put the volume down everytime I even suspected that she was going to scream, it happened very often and was very predictable, anything was a reason for her to scream: from being actually scared, to seeing a bug, to the male lead messing with her, or just because she felt like screaming.

I would have given this a better rating had it not been for the reasons mentioned above, but it was not a bad drama, I enjoyed most of it.

It seems it is fully subbed on youtube. It is always good to do a quick search on dramas, even using the native name, as sometimes we miss on dramas thinking they are not subbed when they actually are and we just didn't look in the right place.

That one is more of a lakorn, with slap kiss at the beginning, and plot twists in the journey. But overall it…
Exactly. I have finished it a few days ago and although it had it’s flaws but the romance was refreshing since the male lead was not a playboy who gets violent and is always forcing the female lead. He did "attack" her several times but he was respectful about it and knew the limits, he was even willing to wait for her to say she loved him. I would say that the first episode was really slap and kiss, literally, but it was one of my favourites. XD

What makes this lakorn stand out from the rest is that instead of a playboy male lead we got a female lead that likes to play around, or at least pretend to. Other than that, it was full of clichés and was not much different from other lakorns.

I was iffy but like the actors. Saw your comment and and started the drama. It is FUN!
Glad my comment helped someone. Sadly the second season is not subbed yet but I think it will be picked up very soon and will be available in the same place I watched the first season.

This is clearly a parody but being so long it failed its purpose as it ended up just being a lakorn that makes fun of itself. It relied on the comedy factor but failed in it’s execution.

Let me tell you why you should NOT watch this IF you’re looking for a good romance story.

So the female lead reminds me of Cinderella. She is kind, so kind that she is naive and people use her. She is willing to do anything for her family, even if she has to sacrifice her own well-being. The male lead on the other hand is far from being Cinderella’s prince. He is a playboy, he is violent, he prefers to trust outsiders rather than the woman he "loves" and on several occasions treats her like garbage. There were actually more scenes of him being rude, violent and distrustful than him being caring. Even if here and there he shows some kindness, it is not enough to erase the many times he acted like a jerk.

This one was frustrating to watch and showed a lot of disrespect towards women, which I know happens often in Thailand but there are many other lakorns that are a lot better and that do not portrait women as punching bags and sex tools that have to put up with cheating boyfriends/husbands because it is "normal" for men to act like that and they just have to accept it.

The story was all kinds of messy. It reminded me of one of those dating games that has several routes. And in the end she chose the one I liked the least. Until the end I was still hoping she would choose the only one that never hurt her and was always there for her just like she was always there for him. I am disappointed even if I had no expectations when I started watching this.
