Chinese gov don't want dramas based on BL to air.

I watched, thank you. It was not convincing to me narratively, nor do I think it's good storytelling in general. The Alliance is hell-bend on being suspicious of TLC even after all he's done for them, considering he's never been an out-right enemy to them or harmed them, while she has done both. The lack of logic doesn't connect to me unless she's enchanted all of them, but that's just my opinion.

I cannot understand why everyone trusts Xifang Tao so readily, who is known as a high level strategist for Fengliudian? Even if her performative actions were genuine, isn't it a little bit too ridiculous to just TRUST her word over Tang Li Ci? She has a paper thin excuse for everything and literally NO ONE questions her motives? The whole of Sword Alliance has like two brain cells combined. Frustrating plotline, easily could've been cut down.

The last five-ish episodes are terrible, I can see why the rating keeps going down. The first 34/35 episodes were amazing, easily a 8.5 for me but the last five are a 6 or 7 at best. Spoilers in reply

The sword alliance people (except Master Shao) are so useless. No one can keep a secret, so many of them are greedy and self-interested. And none of the disciple NPCs can stop gossiping about important things directly within hearing distance of the characters that end up driving them crazy or into depression. Like I get they're supposed to be flawed but did they have to be so irritating? Please have some common sense!

Did they change parts of the story? I noticed a lot of the lip movements doesn't match the actual dialogue. Also a lot of reused clips and choppy editing.

He was so cute in Whispers of Fate 😭 every time he got hurt or cried he looked like a sad puppy I can't handleeee

There were some scenes in Whispers of Fate that had LYX dress in all white playing qin in battle and it looked so much like CWN 😭

I finished the drama and gave it an 8. thanks to the person who said to skip ep 14-28 cus I ended up seeing none of the annoying parts and the pacing was quick and wrapped up everything relatively nicely. Not a big fan of the ending, but it made sense so I can't fault it too much.

Evil Fugui is so fun. Cheng Yi should do more villainous/redflag roles 😍 Or even wily sly foxes like in Mysterious Lotus Casebook hahaha.

I'm still only half way through the series, but seeing reviews that says Quan Jingting and the spider bro stick around until the very end... no thanks. Their characters are annoying as heck and I'm NOT wasting my precious time on that. I think I'll just skip to see the ending and drop the series. I had high hopes for this series because I love both Cheng Yi and Li Yitong and it's really sad what they did with it.

On ep 5, but it's kinda sad seeing how HongYe lost the plot. He's like a totally different person from Love In Pavillion, which is understandable, but to treat his and HuaiZhu's only child like this.... HuaiZhu wouldn't have wanted this.

I haven't watched Xiao Zhan in a drama since The Untamed and Joy of Life S1, and honestly wasn't sure if he can carry a "serious" drama that had a lot of tension and suspense, but he really surprised me with how much he's grown in the years. The plot and pacing got a bit convoluted near the end, but he really did a wonderful job as the ML, I hope he gets more roles like this. The ML and FL didn't have that romantic chemistry, but otherwise the whole cast was phenomenal.

LCZ and ZSR scenes were so sweet, it makes me wanna watch Cheng Yi in another romance costume drama again. He always looks at his FLs in such a soft and heartbreaking way 🥺

i think the original wuxia novel that xiao ming ming was writing was basically one of those self-insert power fantasy light novels, so being like a shounen manga makes perfect sense 😆

Sorry XQS but every time LCZ is on screen I can't take my eyes off him hahaha. Cheng Yi always plays white-haired villains so well 😳

He was quite funny in The Immortal Ascension, I hope he gets some actual comedic roles in the future. His range seems quite wide it'd be cool to see.

For me the bad CGI doesn't even matter because the fight scenes are insane!! This is my first time seeing such exciting cultivation/magic fight scenes in CN dramas.
