I feelya. A similar feeling happened to me. I liked Mu Jiu but wasn't really that concerned with his fate. Yet ended up abawling my eyes out when he left and when they were playing his message.
And after that for some reason it took me a while to continue watching.
I don't know. Maybe it felt too unfair. Or maybe it gave a message I didn't like.
Whatever it was, it left me unwilling to start next episode. But I still enjoyed it a lot, cuz main couple and Tian Huo kept it interesting. And then Cang Shan specially shined in stone clan arc.
