*starts merrily watching the episodes* *sees a girl, for unknown reasons gets YBC flashbacks π* ... - yyyeah best to wait till the rest of this arc is out.
I'd always thought lighthearted scenes were ARP's best. After these few episodes I realized his element is actually intense emotions. I had trouble keeping my eyes on subtitles, didn't want to miss those fleeting expressions.
Well that fight was lowkey underwhelming. You have two demon kings in one place and they don't even exchange a few proper blows? Bai Shuo's part was good, even if the sudden Xiao Wu dodging skill was a bit unrealistic.
It appears you can relate a lot more to morally grey characters. Which is totally fine. There's no need to write…
I'm not saying you're hating. I simply don't want to write a long comment and waste your time. Because almost all of your complains are the opposite of what I remember from the drama.
For example, where did you get that leads are paragons of moral goodness? And why would that oppose their roles?
Why can't Fan Yue abide by his own codes?
Or how for instance, you can comfortably see things from CZ's pov, but BS's pov is almost nonexistent. Same for QF's vs FY's povs.

"I see a lot of discussion on whats Right and Wrong and Justified, but in many cases throughout the episodes ive found myself rooting against the leads simply because the people in conflict with them seem to care so deeply." This is exactly QF's pov. And that's because he doesn't know about FY's curse. Does op also not know about it?
"Even chong zhaos obsession seems justified when you understand that the person he was raised with for a full decade suddenly cut him off, he lost his surrogate father and any concept of family he had all in one day. Yet bai shuo is unaffected in their bond? "
It's clear to me that op only has eyes for grey characters. We didn't watch the same drama. Op's drama was lead by 2nd CP and main CP were supports who had too little development due to lack of screentime.
This show is entertaining, at least the recent eps are, but i find it extremely difficult to not only understand…

You're right. One arc should be manageable. I just hope her shenanigans won't do irreversible damage.
Here we go againπ
