did anyone else think this one of the saddest shows ever lmao like most dramas have an element of sadness or tragedy…
And I would just like to add that Woojin does all these sacrifices despite feeling so scared and that he only tells it to his brother. T_T He only shows his weakness in front of his brother, it says so much about their bond. He tells Bumgyun how he's suffered all these years, and when he's about to face PDG, he tells him he's scared.

And when Clone Woojin repeats what Original Woojin said years ago, the same fear applies to the clone one... because he feels and thinks he is Woojin but is aware he isn't the original one... and that he's about to face PDG once more and.. T__________T

Absolutely! Yes, that scene where his grandma slaps him and scratches his face by accident and he just looks so crestfallen like a broken puppy. T_T Oh you're totally right, he could've taken the USB by force, but he still respects his grandmother so much that he only takes it with her permission.

And he constantly asks other people if they're alright. It's almost like a tagline with how much he's repeated the words, "Are you alright?" And now I'm so sad again that he's such a selfless character but the moments where other people showed concern for him is rare.

And as if I'm not sad enough, I even imagine Clone!Woojin actually going back to Human B and just having the memories of all his loved ones and missing them so badly while stuck in a room as a tool for something he fought so hard against. T_T

YES! YES! YES! TO EVERYTHING YOU SAID! I have exactly the same sentiments as you... My heart was just hurting for Woojin all throughout the entire 12 episode run. Whether for the original Woojin or the clone Woojin, what happened to them both is so sad.

He never gets to live a good life ever since their dad abandoned them. He always has to hold himself together, not just for himself — but for his brother and grandmother too, both of whom have unintentionally forgotten about him. It broke my heart how he actually begs his brother to stop his obsession with aliens because he has suffered all this time. He's just so close to his breaking point and it was such a heart wrenching sight. Also, all those times when his grandmother can't recognize him and you could see how much it hurts him.

And then you could do absolutely nothing but just watch him get into an even deeper mess and try absolutely hard to make everything right for his loved ones, but he dies. Alone. And the person who brought upon his death even has the nerve to make those loved ones doubt him. I haven't had the chance to rewatch this drama as a whole yet, but ugh.. I bet watching that part would be on another whole level of heartbreaking. Woojin spends the rest of his remaining years in a coma, in the hands of his enemies. But the people whom he died for ends up having a moment of doubt about him. T_T All Woojin ever wanted was to happily with his brother. I understand Minyoung's point about the importance of memories and her stance actually plays a huge part for the rest of the characters' decisions later on, but it must've stung when she tells Woojin that he's just trying to take the easy way out. Girl, Woojin never gets an easy way out in the entire drama.

Then he wakes up and finds out he's now a clone. He still has the same love and concern for the family he knows but then he also realizes (almost the moment he wakes up) that he's not the actual one who went through all those traumatic experiences. That's just another whole level of trauma IMO. And he's still as unconditional as ever that he's actually willing to go back to stupid Human B because he hears that being with them just endangers the people he care for and that the person he knows to be his brother actually says that he's just a component. He doesn't even utter a single word, he just accepts it as it is and you could see how sad he is but that he also couldn't deny the huge truth in front of him.

I'm so sad... Clone!Woojin is still really Woojin for me, but I'm also heartbroken about what the original Woojin had to go through. T_T My heart goes out to both of them.

Is this series going to have a season 2?
They definitely have something to work with for a season 2, but the director said it depends on the demand. The ratings were average when it aired but it definitely had a great feedback from the viewers.

No, of course not! No way you're a fake fan, especially after writing an article so passionate about Circle like this~ Thank you so much for bringing more attention to this show. ♥

It's just because I've been rooting for Bumgyun to be Joonhyuk since Ep 1 so I'm trying extra hard to look for clues that will support my claim. XD

Anyone feel wird when there are LCD screen on 90s? That's such a plot hole, lol. But overall good drama with…
Yep... they put captions that specify what year they are showing. When the twins are shown as children it's 2007 (aka the year they meet the alien). When Kim Woojin is in college - the year for part 1 is set in 2017. And part 2 is set in 2037. :)

Awesome review~ Thanks! This show is amazing when it comes to foreshadowing and there's actually one right at the very first episode. In 2007, when Bumgyun finds Woojin in the woods BG tells WJ, "I told you. I'll find you wherever you are." Then fast forward to 2037, when Joonhyuk finally enters Smart Earth, there's a voiceover of him thinking, "Wait for me. I'll find you wherever you are."

They are already straight out telling us he is Kim Bumgyun... I was so mindblown after rewatching Ep1 because of Ep4's reveal.

I just really love this show so much. Ep 1's Brave New World started out a little too cheesy for me, and the CG isn't the best (but they were low on budget and time so this just makes me love this show even more), and there are indeed some plot holes, but ugh I knew they had a great story to tell and and tell it they did!!! I watched this for Yeo Jingoo and I'm so happy he got to participate in a drama as good as this one. Finally a drama that deserves his great acting skills.

Everyone's so awesome in this show. Did I say I love this show a lot? Because I really do.

Is this really worth 8.9? I'm just curious— but reallyyyy? :/
If you're planning to watch, just avoid the spoilers as best as you could. :) You could also check out the other comments here for more feedback, people use the spoiler tag for spoilers so I don't think you'll encounter any.

I watched episode 1 randomly and got confused half way through and thought another show got recorded over or something.…
Yup, this drama has lots of plot twists~ at first you'd be left with lots of questions but answers will come by one at a time. :D The double-track format did give totally different vibes at the start... but slowly, it gets more awesome as you get to connect the mystery from Beta Project to the mystery in Brave New World.

Are you curious because you've seen it and thought it isn't worth it? Or you haven't seen it and wondering about the high score? For me, it's more than worth it. I really enjoyed my time watching it as I found this drama really thought-provoking and the acting amazing - especially from Yeo Jingoo who has done a really phenomenal job. Other people could have a different opinion though, but I think most people have enjoyed Circle and found it to be awesome.

LOL and based on the teaser of Reunited Worlds, what happens to Jingoo's character in RW is also what basically happened to him in Circle. XD

Finish today... I have a huge drama backlog :( I usually don't like second season, but in this case I think…
I absolutely agree. They have done a good job wrapping up the story they intended to tell, but there is still a lot of things they could tackle perfect for a second season.

I'm really sad that Circle's about to end so I'm really happy Jingoo's in another drama once…
I think you're mistaking her for Kim Minhee who is without a doubt a really amazing actress. The female lead in this drama Lee Yeonhee, known for her terrible acting.

Don't worry about getting confused at the start... it's because the story will unfold each episode and all the questions will be answered each time. You can read recaps though if you feel like you have missed anything. :D
