You're so right about that lol. I used to think there was basically zero to no chance of LGX and ZLY ever collaborating again. It just kinda felt like it had all been said and done, and then BAM we got Shenli. Serves me well for being so negative. If it does happen between CXX and LLD it might not be 5 years but it certainly will take at least a couple and that's to get definitive news and production shots. These things take so long and in China, especially, projects can end up shelved for quite a while before they're given a time slot. Here we go, I'm being negative again lol, sorry.

Fans on the C-side are desperate for Xing Xu to rejoin the circle asap, but you're right, they're probably going through different scripts, especially after the effects of TSL because that definitely changes the landscape as far as offers and the such.

Good question...I haven't read anything about it, I also don't know if "banquet" was just a mistranslation but I think it was because this was more like a special event. Maybe they did have a banquet afterwards but I feel like we would have gotten reuters from that.

This is defo one of the chattiest comment sections I've ever come across. Afaik, it's basically only second to LBFAD with its 26k comments when it comes to xianxia. (not even The Untamed has this many comments, although that's more like a wuxia/xianxia mix).

I think it would help if more people left a review...MDL's algo is basically a mystery but reviews are probably very important. I've been tracking this drama and all ratings have been increasing except for Currently Watching which is normal, as Completed keeps going up, but a lot slower lately. idk if it can tip into 8.8 without the completed crossing well over 8.9 which might happen but it will take a while. Non-VIPs are close to finishing their run so that should be a fresh wave of ratings.

Yes... it's slated to start shooting in April so we'll know relatively soon. The rumor keeps popping up.

Sadly, idk that Game Sanaeha's adaptation will ever take off, I think it was first rumored years ago and nothing has happened since but I'd love to see it. We're waiting for confirmation on what's next on his shooting schedule. Probably 你也有今天 (My Boss / You Have Today), given the rumor mill (Esther Yu possibly???), but still very much up in the air. I reaaaaaaally wish he would take up another heavy historical like Dong Gong just not a SE.

I started it and have only watched 2 eps but tbh I'm not impressed...I'll continue as long as I can though because well, PXR gives me nostalgia for GMP. The production values are a bit iffy and I'm not really feeling the plot / acting but it seems like something fun and fluffy to kind of fill the gap until something better comes along. HOPEFULLY it will grow on me.

So happy you liked it. Its such a great drama...I laughed like a crazy person and bawled like a little girl. 10+++ just for making me so emotional. As for CMC (Luke) I really hope Youku drops Guardians of the Lands this year so we get to see him and Chen Xing Xu's bromance. I'd pay just to get it now.

Jiangsu TV rebroadcasting TSL now, every morning, 4 episodes per day and ofc they're showing the new much improved filter and it's making me jealous of all the people that will get to see it this time around with the improved visual quality and without the torturing wait for each new ep lol.

Here's to hoping the producer gives us that special episode. He has alluded to it twice now. He just asked for a bit of patience.

Ah yeah, I've seen this melon floating around but give it little credence. I think people just wanted to crap on Xing Xu for the engagement while Starry was on air, but even if it were true, this is such a challenging role it's cemented CXX as a true acting powerhouse, using his original voice and all, and that's huge for his prestige as an actor. I'm glad for Hedi's success, but tbh he was hugely aided by the dubbing. Still...DFQC was the right role for him and I think the casting director probably knew this, which is why I doubt that CXX "turned the role down", as some claim, I think he maaaaay have been considered at one point and then the rumor grew from that.

I'm not sure I'm following, if you need both leads to be physically present in human form...then that's not the case here, but both leads are definitely alive and we know she will regain her human form relatively soon, we are just not shown that reunion. The ending is happy because her spirit flower is reborn and the lead is overwhelmed with joy that she'll be fully back soon. It could have been a better ending but that's basically how I can explain it. Reducing the entire drama to just those last few seconds is such a disservice to the drama. By all means, we all have our own requirements for what we consider a "happy enough ending". This one was happy, we were just left wanting more.
