The way the void emperor's last words towards his own son showed how he never cared an iota about him...I just can't with these dads. Chaofeng deserves every little bit of Kui's love after having to grow up dealing with a such a shitty dad and stepmom. I actually started this because of CXX with mild expectations then fell in love with everything and everyone. He isn't a traffic star but they've used his fame to the max. I particularly love the way he's been promoting the drama on his Weibo account. It's been so much fun. It's also nice to see his follower count increasing steadily.

I agree with the rest, one of the best things about this drama is the pacing, and the fact that every single little moment matters. The main issue with dramas being 60 episodes long is the sagging middle which, you need a miracle for that NOT to happen. I think the only xianxias that didn't drag for me at any point were Love and Destiny and TMOPB but I'm in the minority because I know a lot of people thought they had very slow parts. The refusal to linger and dwell on any given aspect is what makes TSL so crackalicious and it proves that you can be economical with your time and still pack a lot of punch if characters are written well.
