Every time i think of the fact that i watched this drama thinking there will be a bitter sweet romance painful…
did you watch this drama blindfolded?!? to say there’s no romance is crazzzzyy. I do think some of the times they left each other was a bit unecessary but the romance has always been there, especially in the first half of the show. Also the fact that there’s like 4 second leads creates good romance as well

see i get being more weary of him but his fear wasn't just him being more scared of him. He acted like he knows 100% what moonjo is capable of even though moonjo excused his way out of that situation just like all of the others.
Overall, there’s just nothing compelling in the show and their “sad backstories” are just not convincing enough and kinda thrown in for some type of plot.
The show would have been better off focusing on the romance and developing the couple and even the love triangle because even the romance in the show wasn’t done the best either.
This show is not good enough to give a 7 but it’s not terrible, so I give it a 6.5. I have to give it this especially because I am seeing the recommendation for My Tooth Your Love (which is a 10/10 show) and cant give this show any higher when comparing them together

It didn’t break me but it was sad.
I have 2 major critiques though. For me, a movie is done well and is more well rounded when they give an explanation as to why certain things are happening, even if the ending is sad. I feel like this movie could have easily given an explanation. I don’t know if this is based off of a manga and this is the way the plot was or if this was supposed to be tooken this way, but to me it seems like the necklace he gave her was cursed. So I think if they made that the plot or the explanation as to why this was happening, the story would feel more well rounded. And she said it started happening around the end of her 2nd year and he gives her the necklace on her bd which is in the 2nd semester of her 2nd year. And the necklace doesn’t look new either. He also starts remembering her once he sees her w/o the necklace on when he bumped into her. Like I said, I’m not sure if this was implied or it’s just how my mind made sense of it, but an explanation like that even if they figure out too late and the story is still unhappy in the end, would have been better
the constant misunderstandings and failed conversations made this very frustrating to watch. i also didnt like how they waited to the last episode for the confession, I want a show where they confess halfway through and then we really get to see relationship fluff and struggles and the process of coming out to your peers and family. And Im sorry but the fact that there wasnt a kiss from ANY of the couples just made it feel a little less satisfying.
But this was a well rounded show and I liked all of the characters and the vouples they showed.
The editing of this show is done really poorly. I feel like the editing for the first segment wasnt bad but since the speed dating part it went down tremendously. It kept switching between days and didnt focus on the actual couples who were making meaningful connections. They cut out so many of the couples and focused on the bullshit, like it actually makes me mad.
Also for a show about marriage, a lot of the contestants werent ready to get married and I feel like the issue was in the shows layout. Imo the single zone and couple zone should not have been simultaneous, but separate segments. Like the speed dating segment imo was unnecessary, but if they wanted to keep it in, fine. And then they do the single zone for 3-5 days and if you aren’t ready to couple up and move onto the Couple zone, you have to go home. For those who are, you stay with your couple and seriously consider marriage and how your future would be like, there is no opportunity to find another. I think this rules out those who aren’t serious and those who used their partner just to make it into the palace week. And also have less couples to focus on so we can see more of the actual heart fluttering things and not the mess that is single zone.
But if the creators wanted to do it their way, there shouldn’t be that option to go back to the single zone. And there should have been the option to come together and go to the couple zone. I just feel like the show allowed people to not be serious and hangout in the single zone which was a dumb move. This is probably why the editing was so bad too because they had to focus on like 75 people and 26 pairings (not even including the differnet relationships out of those 26 pairings because ppl still had their second choices).
All in all I thought I found a good dating show but it was a big disappointment.
I actually like when bl shows have a straight couple because I feel like thats realistic cause not eveyone in one place is gonna be gay, but Mayom sucks. The actor isn’t very good and makes the character seem gay and just not masculine at all. In a bl show, the gay characters shouldnt be more masculine than the straight one lol. The character was also pathetic, I feel like begging her for her answer after just asking her and panic ensuing was just messed up and then proceeds to tell her to get home by herself, knowing there’s shootings going on, is very messed up. So I skipped their story a lot cause I couldnt stand him.
next I don’t like how they made Mork realize his feelings on the ferris wheel only for him to take 3 steps back and deny his feelings for Tawan to his uncle and act like he was confused about his feelings and have another gay reawakening. I feel like they should have gotten over that plot and focused on how Tawan is with Por.
Next I dont like how they arent addressing the cheating well, its just a lot of blame for the victims. Like Mork not being good enough even though shes the one who left him for another man. I get breaking up but adding in anothet person was so unnecessary to the plot if they weren’t gonna actually condemn it. And then Por’s actual bf was very manipulative to in how he was going about telling Tawan. He made him uncomfortable and lied only to send those texts telling him to essentially “wake up and break up” like he was the one keeping them apart from each other
And the fact that the uncles live story is like theirs is pmo. Because its just not realistic for every gay person to be straight, their gf leaves them for another guy, and then they fall in love with a man. I think its unrealistic, uncreative, and downright poor writing.
lastly I dont like how they didn’t actually develop Tawan’s feelings. They developed Mork’s alot but Tawan’s switch from Por to Mork was too sudden especially seeing as he loved Por and spent like 6months with the man. I felt that could have been done better and I am irritated that every couple wasnt together until the last episode. I would have loved seeing Toy and Boss together as a couple
I always give Japanese dating shows a chance and each time I’m disappointed. I don’t know who does the writing for them but I hate the structuring, I’ll just stick to the Chinese, Korean, and western ones
I mean in terms of what it promised. In terms of acting I think they did fairly well, but the show itself is dog 💩The promised spice, wasn't there; the action was mid; the romance wasn't developed well; the whole "heist" plot was horrible. His plans were half baked and never gave "mastermind thief"; the second couples were half baked as well. There was so much disappointment with that show, you don't have to agree but I mean it when I say it is overrated
I do enjoy this show but ep 8 made me wanna drop it ngl. I just felt like this plot of his mother came out of nowhere and was forced, especially the forgiveness. They could have done that more naturally or built up on this plot line (like the grandparents being in contact with her, her coming back, and his forgiveness of her) throughout the show. I feel like it was lazy writing and I wouldn’t have minded if they never brought this plot line in, even if the show has no seriousness to it. Also the plot line of Yada’s gf breaking up with her was forced too
