They're looking at Jang Hyuk now. Apparently they withdrew the offer that was made to Choi Jin Hyuk.
Hmm, I could definitely see him pulling it off in terms of look. I've only ever seen him in Greatest Love. Which is a very silly role, but I'm sure he could play on the more serious/melodramatic side as well. I'm just not as familiar with his work as Jang Hyuk's.
This is really fun to watch but sometimes i feel lost in the plot. It's still unclear for me what was Kim Yeong…
It is rather confusing because of the manner in which the information is presented, but what I've gotten out of it is this:
He had over stressed his mind and body (when he chased down that car in the first episode) and it caused a brain hemorrhage that night. So while he did willingly go up on the roof to try to fix the banner, he wasn't in his right mind when he did it. So basically the thought is, his was a wrongful death from overwork by the company that was then covered up as a suicide because he took a bribe (a bribe which is wife only took by accident and which he tried to return) and now he's trying to expose that fact to give his family closure and get a settlement from the company.
Is SIG going to be a cop or a con man in this? Seo In Guk as a con man would be pure perfection. Ultimate fantasy role right there. Very excited about this.
Do I have to watch reply 1997(the parent story as stated above) b4 I watch this one?
No, they are independent stories. You don't have to watch the previous ones to understand this one. Aside from the odd cameo or reference, you won't feel like you're missing anything. I haven't seen the other two and I am completely content. I will probably go back and watch Reply 1997 later.
Seriously, though. Is there anything this show is missing? I heard a couple of people complain about the length…
To my mind the episode length is the only thing. Because it's so long it's hard for me to rec it to people (who aren't already into dramas) and get them to bite. But I don't feel the episode length when I'm watching, usually, and I really enjoy every character. The writing is excellent.
Typical romance comedy with the poor overweight girl gets dumped and is now taking revenge on the ex-boyfriend…
They wanted to work with the writer, they wanted to work with the director, they wanted to work with each other, the money was really good...there are any number of factors that influence an actors decision to take on a project besides the story.
I like it so far *_* still on the 8th Episode but Jung Eums acting is incredible as always hehehe
She's amazing. This is my first exposure to her, but I will definitely be watching some other dramas with her. She's got incredible chemistry with everyone in the cast.
Does anyone know if we're getting three eps this week, or two, and one next week???
On the plus side, most of the really dramatic stuff will probably happen this week and the last episode will probably be mostly for wrapping things up. At least most dramas are that way.
