I feel like the tyrant part is mostly the way how history has portrayed him. Afterall history is written by the…
I'm aware that's what the drama is trying to portray however, he didn't seem like a tyrant from the beginning and I think his fate changed when the magunrok book vanished.
The drama is also a romance one 😭😭, check the genres, watch the trailer.. This is not new. The food is not…
duh I watched it, I know it's romance , just not my kind yea, the food is just western boujee food and 3 korean homey food, there is michelin asian food too. I'm hoping she dabbles into other asian cuisines and participates in the chinese food in the upcoming competition
even tho I'm enjoying the story, there's a few bits I'm not liking so far esp after ep 4.
-the romance is unnecessary, it made the drama seem cheap fanservice to fill in the gaps when there's no gaps. but the positive thing they didn't over do the romance SO FAR.
-the ml isn't a tyrant or misunderstood as one at all, he's just like any king ig.
-the culinary isn't culinaring, neither the food nor the setting is impressive.
What I'm about to write isn't directed at your specific opinion; it's simply a reflection on the topic implicit…
you read too deep into my comment. my intention wasn't to suggest a remake, just that the character Liao Ting Yan reminded me of Seo Woo in Tamra, The Island which happened to be a Kdrama.
random thought but if there's ever a kdrama of this, they need to have Seo Woo as Liao Ting Yan, idk how to explain it but she reminded me a lot of her esp in her role in Tamra, The Island.
I gravitate towards drama with revolutionary female leads so I liked Mr Queen on a normal level. I already watched the cdrama version, which was just as good tho a bit long and close to the original if I remember right. highly recommend for new sageuk watchers.
I dropped Kingdom bcz I'm not into zombie stuff.
My dearest is on my priority list, it sounds like something I'd enjoy but I'm leaving it for colder days (idk why in my head I feel sageuk is better in winter)
AOS I have no idea why I didn't finish this one and I don't remember anything, maybe bcz I was watching it when it was airing.
Red Sleeve I haven't watched, it didn't seem like something I'd like.
I love historical dramas but it's rarely done right at least for me. the recent ones have good concept but are getting really short, now the characters lack depth and less plot twists.
I'll be checking these again soon. I always write a comment or a review, so I'll be back here with my thoughts.
this was good, some parts were really funny and I loved the parodies! I would've rated it higher if not for the boring romance that ate up most of the last 2 eps! I wasn't a fan of the side characters some of them were annoying, others were boring. my fav characters were jin ji, young shik and ji won.
this is a terrible example ngl cause english is an international language and basically almost any country you…
the point went over your head from the beginning but I replied to you out of courtesy. I can tell you aren't a native english speaker (and nothing wrong with that) but calling me obtuse with your low comprehension skills while we are conversing in your beloved ENGLISH is quite ironic lol
