Call it nitpicking but god does it bother me seeing post-2015 elements like new models of cars in supposed 2007-2009 scenes. I know it wasn't high budget but could have at least tried. Anyone can get iPods and cellphones from the time but maybe focus a little more on the details.
Spoiler Free: I really enjoyed the show. Iām usually very critical with shows like this because this is really one of my favourite genres and even the western shows that I watch usually fall in this space. All 12 episodes were action packed and fun with good characters and thatās what matters to me. Itās not a totally new storyline or concept for sure, may NOT be everyoneās type if theyāre not looking for some bloody, gory and great action scenes but Iām very satisfied with what we got.
Performances were weak by good amount of the cast, but the characters were likeable and took realistic decisions at times. Not every āevilā character is given an unnecessary redeemable story as well, which I do like while some who faced tough situations broke down understandably. Through some of the characters could have been provided a better background. There was overall a good depiction of humanity as well.
You do have to drop logic when you watch shows like this but if you donāt have to face unnecessary romantic moments (they were definitely there but again, these are High School students so some of the behaviour makes sense š¤·š»āāļø) or donāt continue watching just because there are some pretty people you want to look at throughout.
The drama also takes bold decisions to keep us engaged, though, some deaths felt unworthy. There is no unnecessary music or soundtrack throughout, the background music is fun and doesnāt overlap any of the scenes either, which I really liked. The scale of the show was clearly big, considering they made good use of the sets and the streets and it didnāt feel monotonous or boring in terms of the setting. They brought back so many actors to perform as zombies even in the last few episodes, meaning the whole team was really dedicated to it, not something weāll see usually.
Overall, solid 9/10. Should I post this as a review? Haha.
Well i am sure there are both because even in real life there are both so honestly i hope that they show all sides…
I mean, Iād enjoy seeing that side too in a couple episodes or so and maybe like that the female lead will see thatās thereās a wrongfully convicted case as well and get some character development through it. Though, I definitely wouldnāt want it to be the main theme of the show by the end, would absolutely hate that.
Song Kang is one of the recent actors i am not sure about. I did like him in the sweet home but the rest of his…
Song Kang can't act... He was good as an emotionless fighter in Sweet Home and that's about it. His good looks and popularity are helping him get the roles, very much like idol-actors.
Yep. I especially donāt like Su-hyeok actor. The bad acting unfortunately stands out.
I think for the main girl, the character is weaker than the acting. She is like the āheartā of the group except it doesnāt stand out much compared to the action-packed scenes other leads have.
Also Iām not surprised viewers are falling for him considering some have tolerated the likes of Cha Eunwoo.
Itās honestly hard for me to go through Chinese dramas but coming here to say that this was a good watch⦠will be relatable for a lot of Asians too, keeping in mind the family dynamic and realistic scenes and situations.
Itās such a major plot hole and I believe they could have fixed by making it clear that it only spreads through a bite, as if the mouth/teeth releases the virus or whatever actually. But this part annoys me so much.
