Excited for the show and Bae Ih-hyuk. Teaser was interesting and intrigued me but could've been edited better with a better soundtrack. Edit: Just saw it's an SBS drama, makes sense why it was a little overdramatic đ€Ł
Annoyed of student-teacher bs though, in any form or place.
Yep, some are minor nitpicks, not many would notice, and I agree. Though, exactly, more like we barely have ANY idea how he twisted RSY's mother into thinking all that. They did mention he only recently started working at that hospital, and the mother also started the treatment recently. How long it could've been? A week? In a week you can manipulate a person who was quite alright just a few days ago? It doesn't add up at all, and the show didn't bother to elaborate on it either. I like the show, its pretty good for a k-drama which otherwise end up getting boring and draggy in the second half, this one hasn't. Though, they use a bit too many plot devices to reach the story they've thought of, and it just makes you feel that the show is rushed or unfinished.
Thank you for mentioning all these so I didn't have to. They really have a lot of plot holes lol. Have you seen the props in the early episodes? They pick a random object and say it has such a high resolution mic and camera. A freaking 3mm thin necklace even đ Not to mention, how do you just turn the mother's character to anything you want just because she went to the therapist for like 2 days.
Honey what actual points do you want in the drama?Controversies? It's actually cleared but you can choose to believe…
I wonât count potentially harmful, and content which is insensitive to the very core of Korean democracy and people who fought for it, and distorts history to homophonic middle-aged battling against inclusion of LGBTQ+. Both are very different social issues with the latter having no basis and being morally wrong. The same democracy also allows Snowdrop to be aired without being banned, and we are still standing up to make sure this democracy is maintained. And it is possible when people are made aware of how exactly content like snowdrop is wrong and you will always find some people who would support it in a democratic country. Some are ignorant and others choose to be, hence, we raise our voice.

Wasn't just meant for you, but if the shoe fits, sure. And, sure, that's the only debate you guys legitimately have "art is art, why censor, let it offend people, my enjoyment matters"
Y'all will see me praising the drama here every week but also let me point out how the scriptwriter learned the word "gaslighting" and called it a day. And therapist being Yun-ho was too predictable of a "twist."

"my little corner of Canada enjoying some drama." "So I'm gonna keep enjoying the drama" thank you for pointing out your privilege and why you don't care about the concerns raised by people who actually lived in that time. And then people here wonder why Intl. fans are called I-roaches.

Of course, thatâs what the right-wing higher ups at jtbc would want you to feel like instead of dealing with actual facts. Congrats on actively contributing to their cause.

Not to mention, production themselves said the name was in fact Yeongcho (clearly pointing their intentions of wanting to base the character fully on her, it is not similar as you said, IT IS THE SAME NAME) and they changed it to Youngro after people pointed out who it was based on and it was morally wrong.
Itâs also known that the early name of Snowdrop was âEhwa dormitory.â

This one of the sources. Itâs in Korean. A lot of content is in video format that I donât really have access to right now and mentions a lot more about the person, which you wonât find in this article.

You are convincing yourself that he is just to satisfy yourself just like jTBC and the people involved in the production want. I listed how exactly there are too many coincidences for him to be a totally fictional character. They changed just the right amount to spin the narrative but also kept the values they wanted to display at the core.

No he is NOT 100% fictional. Itâs fairly obvious who heâs based on, whoever much yâall try to deny it. A daughter and a son? Sent son to military after he protested? Student soldier then also trained at military academy? Arrested and jailed for not following orders? University graduate and interest in literature? And then they made the character based on an actual protester (after slightly modifying her name) his daughter?! The utter disrespect and insensitivity. Oh please, keep the denial to yourself.
And guess what, this is exactly what glorification looks like. Making sheeps follow and think that âat least he was a good man to his children.â

I wonât take the time out to spell them out one by one, but letâs start with Eun Chang-su (or Park Jun-byeong, the person this character is based on, a murderous monster) being a good person who cares about his children and the âinnocent studentsâ and there being even a couple of decent humans in the ANSP who realised what theyâre doing is wrong.

They are not âcleared.â jTBC and people involved have come up with dumb and unsatisfactory explanations. And now waiting for someone to mention how it was rejected from court and all, yeah, because Korea is a democracy now. A fact the writer doesnât seem to be a fan of due to her well-known personal interests.
I reported this comment. No matter your opinions, saying anyone watching this are s**** is abuse.I am watching…
Omg, English is not my first language and I really donât know the word you mean here. Is it sh*thead?! I did write stupid only and censored it as the comment by âKang Jiaâ asked me not to use it. I genuinely donât know the word and wouldnât mind if you tell me what it is through a DM so that Iâm fully aware of it.

I doubt calling them stupid is abuse. Though, I can understand why some people are ignorant (or choose to be) and hence I censored the word but also didn't remove it because that would be wrong and make someone else's reply to my post "false" which it isn't.
