It’s almost as if they read my comment before editing the last episode and there was thankfully not a song overlapping everything every 2 minutes. Solid 9/10. I’m glad I watched it weekly.
Premiering on tvN, every Thursday at 10:30PM KST. tvN also picked up The Witch’s Diner from TVING to air this January, this is the second TVING original to air later (not side-by-side like Hometown/Happiness) on tvN.
I love the direction they're going with this if the trailer is not misleading — not decent kids being wrongly punished but the system being too lenient on the ones who deserve worse. Though, I have a feeling that in the end it'll become exactly that. Let's see.

point one im the complete opposite from you, so it is interesting to read 😂 i actually really like when they…
11 is a lot more than what others show do haha, do you mean this sarcastically? (Reflection of You is the only comparative drama in recent times) I think it’s the fact that they have so many OSTs that they keep feeling the need to use them the whole episode 😆

I mean absolutely love the songs, but hearing the same again and again now that we are at the 15th hour of the show is just kinda? Uhm, also it’s really just personal preference haha, sometimes I want to hear the dialogues clearly than having a layer of loud (again, but good) music behind them… I think it’s also to do with the fact that I mostly watch without subtitles while other intl. fans are used to reading subtitles and having clarity on the dialogues while hearing the beautiful music.
Jun-young Love and Leashes era arrived a little early with the finale 😆 Though, I think we all agree we were watching a kids show for timepass, there’s always a drama like this at the end of year. Though in 2021 it was this and School 2021. Year before this was True Beauty 💀
Okay, enough about me loving and enjoying this show, here some things I don’t like:
1. Great soundtrack, but the same songs repeated in every episode + they’re too loud, which is distracting at times. Sure it looks beautiful and hearing them does make me feel good, but does feel overused at times. I know this is a k-drama thing but it’s little too apparent here.
2. I don’t like breakup tropes, please, don’t repeat them.
3. The trope of ALWAYS having an older character sick/dying and it being a plot device to make the character suffer.
4. I love the fact that episodes are concise 1 hour, but I also feel like they’re cutting a good amount of scenes. Is it just me? Like the epilogue in the episode where they were drunk and lying around in a street and Ung confessed to Yeonsoo about his childhood.
Lol, let me know if I’m missing something! And don’t take this as harsh criticism, it’s not, as I said, I love the show 😊
@o_reo123 made a whole thread about that in the discussion sections, although I think it has not been updated…
I think most people realised by the time they reached “Pride and Prejudice” or “Love Actually.”
And also, you probably expect me to respond with a pretty elaborate answer on how the episode relates with 3 idiots, haha. However, the problem is that I watched that movie a LONG time ago and I don’t remember most of it. I would say it’s just the fact that the 3 leads in this drama are all battling their life in a way that the 3 main leads in 3 idiots did. The characters are not similar much at all to be very honest as per what I remember, but I think the struggles are real and it is somewhat relatable and more apparent this episode, all 3 are pitiful. Their ambitions, Their life choices, their harsh childhood. Life is not easy for the 3 of them.
Also, i don’t know if you guys know, each episode title is actually title of movies IRL. Episode 15 was 세 얼간이 (3 Idiots), a famous Indian film. I really like the details.
Ji-ung’s mother… I’ve seen that actress in a lot of dramas. Love her range, stole the show this episode.
You know why I’m pointing it out? Cold characters usually look and feel annoying. Sure, maybe many felt the same here. I don’t know, it was something about her acting that made her seem so pitiful and I could connect with a character I’ve barely seen for 15 mins. before this in the entirety of this drama.
