Happiness ended up being a very unexpectedly good Friday-Sat drama for me. It's fitting that it's replacing Yumi's Cells, another very good drama but that was actually expected. All hail TVING dramas for the win 🙇🏻♂️ Absolutely surpassed the snoozefest that Jirisan is and the weak plot-ridden Hellbound of this month. Also, Dr. Brain & WLDN, 🙏🏻.
I hope the drama is not dragged. The pacing is a bit off at times and that's to be expected when you drag a show of this genre to 12 60min. episodes which actually is not needed at all. 8-10 45min. episodes would have been a sweet spot.
The poster is… pretty boring. But then again so is the name. I hope it’s a light and good watch. The cast looks amazing. Especially with all the infidelity dramas coming up lol, this would be a good mediator in between.
” Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's bad.” Huh? Since when did we start defending series with practically no base and a very weak plot like this? I won’t say it’s too bad but it’s not intelligently made or a “good” show either. Where’s the world building? How did you just.. forget about some of the characters and you put them on my screen for 3 hours without even telling me how their stories end? It’s very bland. The monsters look funny when the move and the CGI baby was off-putting BUT understandable, I don’t really expect Netflix to put Apple TV+ level money. A total time-pass and people are giving ridiculously high ratings for no reason to be honest. Yeah everyone’s allowed to express their opinion I guess and that’s why shows like True Beauty have millions of fans 💀
The absolutely amateur actors are so off-putting but then again I expected that when I went into this. I think it’ll makes the kids watching pass their time, similar to how Imitation was. Guess I’ll still go through this cringe since I’ve started and it’s only 1 episode a week.
He did say before they went that he got his parent's permission for the trip, presumably they knew who he was…
Yeah, I do know that but would have appreciated a better line saying "they can't come with me right now." Anyways, still really weird. Especially the earphone-sharing part.
Yoon-so is really weird for taking a high-school student to a trip to jeju island without the presence of his guardians. He’s a minor and you’re just his teacher, after seeing what the students/others might think of them (photoshop incident) you probably would want to avoid that too. Like of course the kid is “troubled” and you’re too good of a teacher but this doesn’t look right. I also get that it’s an informational trip and helps with the competition but yeah, maybe the writers should have included a small line from the parents being Ok with him going with her.
Also is it just me who cackles when “this is the last question” OST plays?!
I'm sorry i'm 5 minutes in and the CGI of the executioners running/moving and then turning the guy into asked is taking me out 😭 It was hard trying to hold my laugh. Also, they don't care the amount of of people who are probably hurt or dying while they are executing the guy?
Those who watched the show as Film Festivals have had mixed response but mostly positive so I'm hyped. But they also called the CGI and VFX work "comedic" and god I don't want to bear with it like I did with Sweet Home. Watching the teaser, it does look like video game CGI rather than a quality TV show one.
well i loved the CGI in sweet home what is bad about that
?!?! I mean maybe if you haven't watched western shows, yeah the CGI in Sweet Home may not look bad compared to other Asian productions but it is pretty terrible lol, it looks like it came out of a video game.
Please explain why the CGI "looks bad" to you...where is this coming from because it looks great to me. Starting…
I'm looked at the trailer and it really is. Of course, CGI can be terrible and it's not THAT bad doesn't mean I have to bear with the mess it looks like. The people who've watched the screenings said it's comedic for a reason.

The monsters cgi butt when they moved made me laugh so I guess it’s a 9/10. 😭
