Gu Man novels are highly loved in China based on the comments in douban and weibo, I never read them but overall they say her novels romances are sweet and realistic. Gu Man personally wrote the screenplay too so this adds extra points for the drama.

Yea so happy that finally this drama will focus more of her being badass at wars and battles and will only have little but just enough romance - which we know will be great anyway considering Lusi and Yang Yang superb visuals. Yea but the budget also is considered rumours still unless we can see the financial reports haha. But from the leaked reuters pics and vids things are not looking shabby at all so far. I hope the CGI can be acceptable but the most important is the story/script, directing and acting+chemistry.
