Tencent released a new trailer today and I knew I shouldn;t have high hopes for this drama although some netizen puts FHLJ/WIK in one of the 9 nominees. Turns out it's a special promo clip for Liu Yi Fei's new drama A Dream of Splendor which just freshhhly finished filming yesterday.

Done rant. Can't they just release at least a trailer or something lol. Sad BL drama fate.

Melons flying around that YAMG may release around mid July but let's wait and see. Back then there were also hearsays that Tencent is pitting this drama against Gong Jun's The Flaming Heart on Youku which confirm to air 8 July

Heard from melons that this drama has been promoted to be S+ drama. This is great news ^^

Based on my limited knowledge these directors might have assistant directors working under them. So maybe it's possible to work on 2 at once?

Agreed. Having high expectation is normal since the original novel is treasured by many but let's wait until the finished product come out before judging the actors, directors, screenwriters bla bla...^^

Ah yes! But it's still a rumor. The current rumor is Xu Kai and GJ as the leads but I doubt it lol. If I'm GJ I won't take another BL so soon.

Chen Kun and Zhou Xun name alone makes the movie awesome hahah.

I haven't watched the other version, but I think this one is good enough. It's fun and the action are well done. Personally enjoyed it as a movie, not just because of 'fan filter' for CK and ZX ^^

The cast might be new but let's give them chance since it will be the director's job to guide them and make the final product beautiful. The script plays a huge role too. It seems that the character needs young faces with attractive visuals. I think Zhang Linghe has pretty good review for his acting so far though.

Still waiting...Just noticed next year there are soo many BL will be aired. It's cramped in there lol. What is Tencent doing. They should quickly release FHLJ(and HYX).

I fell in love with the leaked stills of this drama. The cinematography is beautiful and the scenes look interesting.

Furthermore the storyline sounds deep and touching too and obviously the two leads visuals are beautiful. Will put this in my list ^^

I think Lusi must be a very friendly and cheerful person. I've seen the BTS for her latest dramas these 2 years and all her costars are enjoying their time with her. Lol I don't think she's dating Yang Yang but they should have a good platonic relationship now maybe friends.

Welcome to your first historical drama haha.. The review for the book is pretty good and it's quite a popular novel so I think you may enjoy the story too besides of course yang yang and Lusi ^^

Too bad it's 99% will be next year haha. I can't wait to see the Lusi x Yang Yang pairing too. Their visuals in the trailer is just too beautiful!

Sadly it should be next year as much as we can't wait for this beautiful work UwU. They need to work on the post production since this is period drama.

Tencent is spending S+ class amount for the promotion so I'm sure they will do the post production carefully and will take some time.

Can't wait!! Lol I'm also in love with Lusi.
