On episode 37 right now, but Fairy Louxia and her disciple have more chemistry together in the few minutes of screentime they get together than all of the interactions between Qianluo and Xiao Se. I get that Xiao Se wants to keep Qianluo out of the fights, but instead of it seeming like he cares for her wellbeing it feels like he wants to keep her out because she is a nuisance ;-; like he literally has his head in his hands while speaking to her. if only mdl allows gifs, imagine me as a person smacking their head on a desk...

This drama is so fun, but the mystery side plot is taking away from it. Some people are saying that its so the drama can reach 16 episodes, but honestly I feel like they could have just put another coupling instead of the mystery side plot. I really like the FL, she is flawed but the fact that her entire thing is being a mother first is very likeable. For those saying that she is too old to act the part as boring, many old men are not heckled as much as this actress has despite them being a love interest for a character played by an actress half their age. Anyway, the ML is also really likeable. I find it realistic that his mood varies on whether he is healthy or not and think its interesting to have a male character having an eating disorder. The only thing is it is a bit annoying for people to keep commenting on the fact that the ML is thin, like 0-0 no shit sherlock, want a cookie? The high school loveline is getting qyoooot. I love Haeyi and the hockey kid seems like a nice kid. Seonjae is fine, but he definitely is just the good guy that will be sidelined, hope he doesn't turn bitter though. All the mom's are such a bore. Even though I love the actresses, it is giving great value sky castle. I hope that this drama leans more towards the romance of the main leads and highschool line instead of all this school competition and murders.
The FL is really unlikeable, especially after seeing her taking that guy as a client just to get back at the ML. This is a child's life being determined in court, not an opportunity for you to take petty revenge. The ML is also extremely annoying, I do respect him for deciding to divorce because he felt like married life wasn't for him. I think it is better to separate from someone because otherwise you might drag them down. However, faking a wholeass affair was so dumb. Truly stupid. Not sure why everyone is head overheels for SML, he is a very mid character if I'm being honest. He simply says thinks that come off as "good guy" statements like being open to a divorced s.o., and etc. But he has no other charisma. Also the second couple are so weird. the FL's friend is right to speak her mind, but she diminishes the ML's friend's moral compass. If he feels weird about having a one night stand by accident, don't rub it in his face? That's so weird? That being said, the ML's friend is also annoying with the whole slight mysogynistic comments. Like we get it, women should be like this, this, and that, go date a porcelain doll.

I agree so much about Qianluo. I really like her but at the same time, there is no chemistry between Xiao Se and her. Mainly because of Xiao Se like even when he put her head on his shoulder it looked like he was just substitutin for an armchair. But also, the fight scenes for Qianluo are so mediocre. Even Rouyi gets more effort put into her martial arts moments with the leaves despite her being the weakest of them. Meanwhile Qianluo gets a couple of stabs and sand in the air. Wujie has his fire which looks cool, Wuxin has his bell and superb CGI, and even Tang Lian got some wicked CGI during his final scenes (;-;). I don't understand the budget cuts around her fight scenes, ugh.
That's so interesting, I thought Li Hongyi was very unattractive and wasn't fit to play the role of an emperor. I feel like if Bai Shu played the emperor, I would've found the drama to be more likeable.
