I'm on Ep 23 and I'm now getting confused as to why the male lead is so determined to ruin Duanwu's plans to become…
The Yángzhōu Jewelry Guild is basically a nest of vipers. The head honcho of the guild, Zheng, is one of the family who conspired and murdered Duan Wu's father and massacred the entire Yan family. Yángzhōu will become the battlefield for ML's revenge and justice. So, if FL stays in the city, starts her jewelry shop, she'll be in danger. Plus, he wants her to continue hating him so that she'll stay away and doesn't get involved. But does she actually stay away? Of course not. So, his "brilliant" plan? Yeah, totally moot. 😂I love it when the ML and FL clash and it's done right. Oh, the sparks.
I love her insights and perspectives on the ending and I wholeheartedly agree with her. https://x.com/itsmejodiiii/status/1860199613032202335
My interpretation of the ending is similar. In my view, Duan Wu would never wear that ring if Yan Zi Jing had truly left her. Her wearing the ring is a promise, a quiet vow to stay together until the very end. Just like the two stars they cherish, the ring represents lifelong lovers.
Dreams evolve as people grow, shaped by the connections they forge and the challenges they face. For Duan Wu, her dream of building a successful shop and leaving her mark on the jewelry world has already been fulfilled. Now, she has a new dream - one far more precious: to explore the world alongside the love of her life, cherishing the time they have left together. Yan Zi Jing, too, has reached the summit of his former ambitions. His quest for revenge, his mission to restore his family’s honor - those chapters have closed. What remains is his deepest, most personal dream: to spend every possible moment by Duan Wu's side, to gaze at her a little longer, to hold her a little tighter.
And Duan Wu’s stubborn willpower would win any argument. Yan Zi Jing knows her well enough to understand that even if he tried to leave, she’d chase him to the ends of the earth. So, in the end, he’d stay—not out of obligation, but because he couldn’t bear to part from her either. Together, they’d return to their home, to the desert where their romance began, perhaps to that quiet lake under the two purple stars. They’d spend their days in each other’s embrace, not needing anything more than the simple joy of being together, making the most of the time they have left.
Zhao Lusi used bribery to get her fans to promote and rate her character. Don't believe. Ask her fans if she offers…
Kindness, integrity, and virtue are the kind of beauty that no amount of bitterness can dim—a concept far beyond the grasp of someone as petty and rotten as you. So by all means, keep stewing in your jealousy until it consumes you completely, while the person you obsess over keeps rising, shining brighter than the stars you’ll never reach.
Guys guys what do you want to be Lusi next project. I want her to do a costume drama playing a strong general…
I’d love to see Lusi continue to challenge herself with roles that really test her range - that fuel her growth as an actress. Like a character who’s morally complex but still has that spark of virtue at her core. Imagine her as an assassin with a haunted past and hard earned redemption or a battle-hardened general leading armies while grappling with personal sacrifices, love vs duty vs freedom. Something mature, emotionally layered, and maybe even physically demanding.
Trying to watch another drama, got bored, so checking out TSOPG scenes. 😂 "All I want with the little time I have left, is to be with her more and look at her a bit longer. That's enough for me." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuaV75ubHHE
Very well written review. I like that you added what you wrote in the comment section at the bottom and I was…
🤣🤣throwing up lol Thank you. Looking forward to reading your review. It was an emotional adventure that made us all swoon, yell, laugh, and cry. Hope to see you in Love's Ambition.
are there kiss scenes in this one? how's the romance? the other hit Cdrama had no kiss scenes for the leads!
It's unfortunate that some will not start this drama because of the ending. They are missing out on something amazing that can truly touch their hearts. But to each their own and they are probably protecting their peace of mind.
You've got some hard classics in mind lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS5Z6eadmcsBut it could just as well…
You just had to post those songs? lol Thank goodness I'm working from home today, my puffy, tear-soaked eyes would have my team staging an intervention. 😢I can't help but wonder if the same people yelling 'terrible/shitty ending!' here would have the nerve to say that about Titanic and slap it with a 1-star review.
