Love her so much in Queen of Attack! She was perfect in that role and looks great in historical/period clothing. I hope she continues to do some and get big future projects!
Absolutely adore him in Queen of Attack and I hope he has future big projects! (And I hope he reunites with LQ Wang, his co-star from Queen of Attack. They were great together.)
At first I wondered how they were going to stretch out the drama to 40 episodes but the recent developments in episodes 14-18 really got me excited for how the story and drama will play out. :D Especially:
I'm enjoying this drama so much, I binged all the current episodes. Their arguing is so good and funny and they're both so witty and smart. Can't wait for future episodes!!
He was so intense in the first two episodes, lol, he felt like a villain. But I'm enjoying this kind of male lead. Hoping this drama continues to be good and ends well!
Honestly the plot doesn't have any time for his own love story.
Honestly from the trailer, I thought Na Sheng was going to be the second female lead but now she has her own thing with Yan Xi. So all Zhen Lan is here to do is serve as the third wheel of the main couple. Of course, if they had set a second female lead set for Zhen Lan in the beginning, it wouldn't feel chaotic. But now, by episode 28, yeah, it's too late to set an invested romance storyline for him since we're only 13 episodes away from the end.
Will Love Destiny s2 finally air this year?? Been waiting for it since the announcement years ago. Also, excited for Love Forever After! This sounds like a fun premise. Also, Rakkaew sounds interesting! I've never seen a Thai GL drama so I hope it goes well!

Nah, the plot has the time but it would rather give chemistry to minor characters than Zhen Lan. (Like those couple of scenes with one of Kongsang's princes and that merperson Li Zhu.) The plot itself could be tightened a lot more to actually pay attention to Zhen Lan but no, we're just going to have him run around being powerless for half of the drama. It's a waste of Zheng Yecheng's talent.
Zhen Lan out here being the kindest second male lead ever. Zheng Yecheng (the actor for Zhen Lan) is my favorite and I wished this role gave him his own romance storyline instead of pining for the female lead, sigh.
22 episodes only? :/ Wasn't it originally 34 or 36? Pretty ominous because even low-budget romantic comedy dramas are at least 24 episodes. All this cutting makes me worried. Sure, it may tighten the main storyline and the main couple, but if it's cutting into the secondary couple and supporting characters--who are sometimes really well done and make the whole drama even better--then that will suck a lot. Praying that this drama turn out good even though it's short.
Also, I know some folks don't like Yan Zidong as the male lead but I have a soft spot for him. He was one of the male leads for the BL dramas "Love is More than a Word" and "Till Death Tear Us Apart" and he was very cute in both. I admit that in this drama he has moments where his visuals don't look the greatest--compared to Deng Wei who has grown in popularity since "Miss the Dragon"--but Yan Zidong's acting is solid. The angsty scenes?? Super well done. When his character gets to be cute and sweet?? My heart warms. I think he was the right actor. He has the youthful, sometimes innocent look who is trying to step into his late brother's shoes. I loved Qi Guan Yi.
The way that people on here are rating this drama is so unfair. It's AT LEAST an 8. I just finished this drama and am sobbing my eyes out (in a good way). I love so many things about this drama like the incredible growth of the female lead, the heartbreaking second male lead, the side relationships! Also, the visuals in this show was pretty! This is a gem and it sucks that people are rating it lowly solely based on like 2 episodes or the fact that it's a VR romance genre. Honestly, if you don't like this kind of stuff, why even rate it? Ugh. ANYWAY. Will write a review for this but I highly recommend this drama if you have previously enjoyed low-budget romantic comedy dramas like "To Get Her" "Oh! My Sweet Liar," "The Romance of Tiger & Rose," "Unique Lady," "The Queen of Attack" and "Love & The Emperor."
