Since filming wrapped up a while ago, I really hope we get to see this drama come out soon! Especially with Simon's strong success with the recent modern drama Begin Again and his currently-airing Unique Lady season 2. Praying that this drama will be released soon! I love both of the leads!

The trailer made it seem like the drama is about the FL chasing the ML? But the summary doesn't sound like that? I'm so confused lol. I think I'll still give it a try though since it's aired on the same channel (Huace) that aired "Oh! My Sweet Liar!" which I loved. Maybe this channel has good dramas! :)

I'm liking this drama so far and enjoying the main couple's scenes a lot. Although, gotta say, sometimes the villains' decisions are a bit illogical lmao. It's hilarious how bad it is sometimes, lmao, but it makes me laugh, so I guess I'm okay with it.

Yes. Season 1 was more about 'who will she end up with?' and her getting different sweet scenes with each of the men, especially with Simon's character and falling for him specifically. Thus, beginning in season 2, Simon and the female lead are already together. (Season 1 also hints to the audience the possibilities of how she's connected and able to stay in the game, in case you're curious about that. )

I suppose if you want specific episodes, episode 14 was a really strong episode in terms of xue yao caring for xu chuyue while she's feeling down about her brother's sudden cold shoulder toward her, and then episode 16 is where xue yao actively asks for trust from xu chuyue and xu chuyue does explain her situation but it's a less than ideal moment when it happens because xue yao was distracted with something else. Episode 18 is I believe what you're looking for--when they've both shown their feelings to one another. It's a really good episode as it shows xue yao's fear of losing her and xu chuyue has already long harbor feelings for him, so it's a sweet moment when they finally tell each other.

You could watch season 2 without watching the first season as the FL does summarize quickly what happened in season 1 in the very first episode, but if you're interested in her development of her relationships with the male characters from season 1 (and their back stories), there are some really good emotional scenes and growth. It's also not too long--24 episodes in season 1. I would say that season 2 is starting out a lot more strongly than season 1 did.
Random question but is the voice of Liu Xiu Wen (played by Alen) the same voice actor of Li Chenyin from Goodbye My Princess? Ever since I noticed that, I can't get used to Alen's face with that voice, lmao.
I'm so glad there's a second season! The first season was a bit rough at the beginning but once it got serious, it was pretty emotional and enjoyable. I really like this cast and adore this season so far--especially the main couple's bickering and sweetness, lol. They're both so tsundere and also so sweet.
For anyone wondering about whether to watch this drama or not, I recommend watching the prequels first if you haven't already and then come enjoy the fun in season 2!
There are so many memorable moments from this show and I've said this before, but I am so glad for how the story handled xingchen's characterization--especially after that one episode. xingchen could've became an annoying second ML character, but he wasn't, and I am so glad for that.

I'm not done with the drama yet (on ep15), but I love it so much when the main leads sing one of the OST! This drama has a pretty good soundtrack and while listening to it, I thought the female voice sounded quite familiar. Then, I found out it was them! True. For beginners, a drama like Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion would be good to start off before they dig into the intense serious ones like Goodbye My Princess and Story of Yanxi Palace. Under the Power is a pretty good one as well although it's a bit more of a detective mystery than full on politics. It's still a good drama to watch.

Honestly, due to bad English subs, I'm not too sure, but her power plays a semi-big role as she's supposed to keep it secret but the antagonist(s) find out and try to get her to use it for their benefit. And her powers is what caused some previous conflicts in her life, causing her to run away and also causing her to have to control her emotions. In the end, the drama doesn't go deeply into the science of it so it's explained that she was just born this way, but with advanced technology, she seeks to find a way to handle her powers.
