I agree! The rating on kisskh here is way too low. It is at least an 8.5 or higher. Fortunately, before I started this drama, I looked to the reviews instead and saw that the top two reviews on the page, both gave a 10/10! It is rare to see that and that's why I gave this drama a chance. I'm so glad I did!

Thank you for this! I agree completely. A lot of people just want immediate gratification with the main couple, but I thought it was a good move to have the FL and ML take their time and learn to appreciate one another.

The audiences always hate the FL more than they do the ML when it's the ML's fault that FL is still involved with the Li Family. He was the one who coerced her back--and yet people still wonder why she's afraid of him or, at least, doubt his good intentions?
He has a scary reputation--established in the very first episode--and considering all that she saw in the first episode, OF COURSE she's going to be wary of him. I don't know why that's SO hard to understand.

Yeah, I'm going to give it a chance. It looks like the ML is like an antihero kind of character so it could be interesting to see how he develops.

Luo Qiu Yun as Ming Zhu is so pretty! And this is the first time I've seen a burn mark/birthmark on a girl's face that looks real.

On episode 5 and damn lol this is the first time I've seen a ML be this vicious to the FL...damn. It's gonna take a LOT of convincing for me to believe that those two will fall in love lol.

Watching him in Twisted Fate of Love and he's really cute! I see that he's playing a main role for Winner Is King. Looking forward to it!

Just started this just because. I'm still warming up to it but I like the FL so far. I like the 2nd ML better though...he's pretty cute. (Also, his dubbed voice is really good! It's the voice of a typical ML lol.)

Truly, this drama deserves so much love. The chemistry and acting of Zheng Ye Cheng and Hu Yi Xuan were impeccable. They were perfect for their roles. (This is the first time I've really wanted to see a couple act in another drama together. They are such wonderful actors--and using their actual voices too to dub their characters! They are just really great.)

The story--although could've been clearer in some aspects--was interesting and had a surprising amount of complexity (like the side couples, and also, the truths about Xue Mu...). The best part is how organic it all felt. For me, this drama never felt like it was just marking off clichés in a romcom historical but instead unfolded naturally. (I went back to rewatch the beginning and was very pleased to find little things that foreshadowed future plots and twists.)

Also, gotta give thanks to the production/staff team! There were many beautiful clothes and sets. I especially enjoy the OST and still listen to it constantly. This was a very memorable drama and I will return to many scenes to rewatch Xue Yao and Xu Chuyue. <3

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it is! I'm watching her in one of her other historical romcom dramas (My Dear Destiny) and it sounds like the same voice, so I believe it's her voice!

Hu Yi Xuan suffers so much in this show ahhh they really have her doing all kinds of stuff. I respect her so much.

Sadly, not a fan of Prince Ji suddenly being so...stupid. Like, when he was first shown in the beginning, he saved Chou Qingli like a hero and he seemed clever and smart. But then now...he's all like "do all women like power and noble status?" What. The. Fuckery. Are. You On. Like, this is such a naïve perspective? And I know why the writers are really pushing for him to be like this--probably to make him become the antagonist and try to take the throne or something, but...this wasn't the way to go. He was such a cool character and now he's a meh character to me.

Rant about episode 9.
Low key annoyed at the beginning of episode 9 when she talks to Prince Ji after he didn't help her. She was right to say "thought you were different. Turns out you're just like the others, you're just harder to read." I mean, that was a stunning dialogue! And she has the right to be mad when she covered up for him and he didn't step up!

But then he has the audacity to turn around to make it about, like, "do you love him [the king]? why do you love him?" Bruh. You literally didn't save her and was going to allow her to die for your mother's crimes, soooo you gotta live with that now. He truly has the audacity to be like "Are you like other girls who want power?" BRUH. You're barely showing remorse for what just happened.

So, I'm annoyed with that scene. Also, that she lied to him about why she loves the king and had her say "he's the king--he has riches and power. who wouldn't love him?" and so now, Prince Ji is probably gonna like try to be king or something for her love. SIGH.

I agree that he's a very versatile actor and underrated right now but I see a bright future for him especially as he continues to impress with not only his acting, but his singing and voice acting and fighting ability! He stands out very much among the actors his age (and has a unique look and voice). I wish him very well. <3
