Title Under the Power Spoiler
Wait, this has a happy ending, right? I'm gonna be sad if I run into another sad/ambiguous cdrama ending.
One of the funniest and best parts in this show so far is when Lu Yi had his head messed with and he became thirteen years old and then eight years old again lmao. That entire thing was just so great. Allen really showed great acting and was able to be more expressive and boyish lmao. Xie Xiao's jealousy truly made me cackle.
Also, I adore Brother Lan. He was so heartbroken by that entire min-arc with his Master and the loss of Xiaoxin. He's so cute trying to help Li Yi and Yuan Jinxia, but they are both so dumb that he's like "Nevermind" lmaoooo

Person Zheng Ye Cheng Spoiler
Hi, I see that you are one of Zheng Ye Cheng new fan. What is your opinion of his kisses scenes? Some peoples…
Hi! I think he's a fine kisser.
Rather than just the kiss itself, it's the acting and energy that he puts in that makes the kisses feel genuine and fitting (like the cave kiss--which I thought was so well acted! you could feel his desperation and also his possessiveness, not wanting to lose her. The tears that came after he kissed her was just exceptional acting).
The fireworks display one was also excellent because it was an emotional kiss. Both of them were crying and recovering and the kiss was such a wonderful moment for them to reunite. The energy and feelings were all there.

Maybe some people feel that he is a "lousy" kisser because it's not lustful or super sexy? I guess when some people imagine a good kisser, they think of it as a lot of smooches, mouths moving, and stuff, but I think his kisses show the correct emotions in the scenes, so it's are fine. :)

*edit: forgot to mention, but yes, I agree with you. The other "bad" kisser times was when chuyue was forcing it on him or when chuyue wasn't in her right mind, so he was more surprised rather than trying to kiss her lol.

Title Under the Power Spoiler
Wait, this has a happy ending, right? I'm gonna be sad if I run into another sad/ambiguous cdrama ending.
I'm still watching this and I'm around episode 22 and I can understand some of the criticism of the show right around now. I am wondering why the show is 55 episodes when the plot seems relatively straightforward and uncomplicated. I've seen Goodbye My Princess (which was also 55 episodes) and it was understandable why it was so long, but I'm not seeing why Under The Power should be THIS long.
I am continuing this show, however, as I adore most of the characters and really like everyone's acting, especially Seven. Yuan Jinxia is one of my favorite female leads ever--she's capable, smart, hilarious, tender. I really feel her in her acting like when she's crying after she was yelled at by her Master. That shit hurt me too.
This is the first show in a while that I didn't skip scenes and am watching the plot unfold (although I am getting kind of tired of the villain dude who seems kind of irrelevant right now; like, yeah, he's ~evil~ but like...he only shows up for like 5 minutes out of an entire episode and then disappears. He feels very disconnected from the main storyline, so I don't really care for him right now.)
Furthermore, I really like all the actors in this show. Everyone just looks well fitted for their parts. No one looks visibly like an "idol" who is just wearing the historical outfits; everyone seems like genuine characters.

Congratulations, Zheng yecheng, on being casted in the modern drama with Ju Jingyi "Love Under the Full Moon"! I haven't seen you in a modern drama since Love 020 and I look forward to seeing you work with Ju Jingyi.

An underrated actor who don't get enough recognition for his acting skills, voice (台词) and action scenes +…
he truly is underrated! I think the first time I saw his face, I wasn't impressed right away but then I was quickly sucked in by his acting and his voice in the sleepless princess! I was even more impressed after seeing how he can be very cute and boy-ish (like he was in Love 020) but then he can also be very manly (like Sleepless Princess). I am excited for his future works (and am gonna go find all his past works to watch him lol).
On Love under the Full Moon Oct 23, 2020
I'm so excited!! I love them both, especially zheng yecheng after seeing him The Sleepless Princess. He is a great actor with a great voice range! I haven't watched Ju Jingyi in any modern dramas yet so I look forward to this.

Yes! I thought this was going to air in November or something but just saw the second trailer on Iqiyi's youtube channel and it says October 21! Praying that this drama is good and they get their happy ending.

For some reason, in this drama specifically, Allen reminds me of the Thai actor Mark Prin. But Allen's modern face doesn't look like Mark at all lol. So I think it's something about this costume and the stony and murderous expressions as Lu Yi lol. Anyway, because of this small similarity, I started watching this drama and am enjoying it so far. :)

Title Demon Girl
I started watching this because of that promo poster...the one with zhang zhehan's abs...but I suspect that kind of image/scene will never occur in the drama haha.
On The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion Oct 17, 2020
Listening to "Gu Hua" by Ju Jingyi. Her voice is so good! But I'm worried because the song sounds sad and the MV seems kind of sad. I really hope this will be a happy ending drama. I'm watching this for Ju Jingyi and Zhang Zhehan. They look so great together.

I keep thinking about this show and I'm so glad it's gaining popularity. When I started it, I had no real expectations.…
Been thinking about it some more and I think what makes this drama better than expected is that the music and cinematography are really strong thanks to good editing and directing. There is a grandness to the episodes and it's not undermined by comedic sounds and background music and it's not disrupted by a lot of cut shots. The beginning episodes had that "romcom" feel of whacky hilarious situations, but there is a strong heart to this show in dealing with the difficult situations. And the acting of the leads gets better with each episode.
On The Sleepless Princess Oct 15, 2020
I understand why some people don't like the ML at first, but I actually thought he was more likeable and easier to sympathize with compared to other dramas with a "cold" ML. With Xue Yao, it's pretty clear in the beginning why he was the way he was with her & all the misunderstandings between them that make them both see each other in the wrong way. It's built in organically and written well for how the misunderstandings are resolved. Compared to other "cold" ML where it's just their personality that make them treat the FL rudely, Xue Yao differs from that type.

Title The Sleepless Princess Spoiler
Can I skip ep 35 and just watch the alternate ending? Or is there stuff that happens in ep 35 that needs to be…
Episode 35 is pretty important. I'd recommend you watch it. The alternative ending is more, like, "episode 36"--it has some references to episode 35's ending.
But if you really are trying to avoid 35's ending, then you can just stop right before the final scene. I would recommend stopping after the scene when the narration returns to xue yao with the kids (because remember in ep1, he was "telling" the story of xu chuyue to the kids). So, I would say stop watching it after that & just go to the alternative ending episode.

At times, this drama is a bit too much with the comedy and comedic music, but the acting is pretty good so far and have cute and heartfelt scenes.

Discovering that zheng yecheng and hu yixuan also sung a version for the theme song has been such a delight in my life. They are both so talented in acting and singing. I really REALLY want them to do another drama together.
