Not only that but people really seem to ignore how problematic it was. From domestic violence, promoting homophobic…
Strong Woman was the drama I hated the most last year because of all these reasons. It baffled me how few people brought up how problematic and offensive it was. The couple wasn't anywhere near cute enough for me to ignore all the things wrong with this show.
I'm really hard on a lot of BL because a lot of it is just not good and filled with a variety of terrible elements, but this second season of HIStory has helped to restore my faith in the BL drama. I really like right or wrong, but I actually preferred this one more. This show really had no business being this cute, I loved it. My complaint is that I wish it was longer some things could have been fleshed out a little more.
I have watched till episode 17 and honestly, I don't know if I want to continue further. I'm tired of all these…
Have you tried Gay Ok Bangkok? For me it was one of the dramas that doesn't cater to fujoshis, and actually depicts gay men, relationships, and their struggles more realistically.
I was hesitant about this from the start because second seasons of anything tend to disappoint. About four or five episodes in and this was definitely disappointing me. Arthit's work story line was uninteresting, I saw less of certain people I wanted to see, and to make things worse, the chemistry between Arthit and Kongpop just wasn't there. There was way to much awkwardness between the two of them for two people who had been dating for two years. And it wasn't even just that there wasn't much skinship between them, it just seemed like there was this wall between them. I don't know if it was Krist and Singto, or the writing, or both, but it was incredibly frustrating to watch. But thankfully, at some point things picked up, something settled and this season started to get enjoyable. The plot got more interesting, chemistry finally started flowing, and I started to see the Kongpop and Arthit I loved in the first place. I didn't love it as much as I loved the first season because there were some things I didn't enjoy as much. Like I could have done without Dae and Tew, I missed May and M, and if they were finally going to give Prae a girlfriend I rather would have seen it happen, but despite those few things it was great (the last few episodes especially). I'm glad they made a second season and I'll cross my fingers for a third.
I personally didn't like the first season of this show, so I was skeptical about watching this one, but I'm glad I did. It was the sweetest thing. I wish there was more of this lovely little family. I need more BL like this and less like Addicted and Make It Right.
Where's a good place to watch the last two episodes? I want to finish it but can't find a working video (that doesnt pause or have a million ads) anywhere.
As of episode four, I'm not enjoying this as much as I wanted to. It feels a little messy at times, it feels like something is missing, I don't like the direction of Sun Mi's character at the moment (she's not as strong as I'd like her to be), and some of the overacting crosses that line of being funny and goes right into cringe territory. I'll keep watching though, and hopefully I'll like it more. I really don't want the Hong sisters to disappoint me again.
I only heard about this manga a little while back, but I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Hopefully it will really touch on some sensitive topics in the Japanese LGBT community. Fingers crossed that this will open the door for more LGBT content from Japan.
I really love this show except their romance. Their romances really lame and doesn't have chemistry at all, I…
Implying that the gay couple should be regulated to BL dramas where you don't have to see them is pretty homophobic. A gay couple shouldn't bother you any more than a straight couple would. It's great that they show Han Yang here with his boyfriend because his relationship is just as normal and no different than any of the other ones depicted on the show.
Is this drama also enjoyable for adults aged 25+ years old? I can't help but get the feeling this is something…
Depends on the person. I have a hard time getting into this show because I personally feel like I'm too old for it, but while I do think it's a youth romance geared towards younger audiences, plenty of older people are enjoying it. If you like cute, fluffy, youthful dramas like Liar and the Lover, Shopping King Louie, Weightlifting Fairy, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, etc then you'll probably enjoy it.
