girl me honestly. i was terrified of that after the trailer. i'm seriously just relieved we didn't have to go through an amnesia trope.

i'm not sure how accurate this is, but i do believe shi de tried to reach shu yi for a while and he didn't respond. someone said in the 3rd episode that shu yi entered some sort of 6 month military thing and then decided to go meet shi de in the US after that was over. i'm not entirely sure how often the two of them talked to each other and who was available and unavailable at what time but i do think the miscommunication was both of their faults. i mean shu yi also tried to fight his dad alone while shi de was in the US so i wouldn't immediately say it was just shi de's fault.

i'm not ready to leave this behind. the last episode is honestly one of the best last episodes i've ever seen. i could watch it over and over again until the end of time and not lose my interest or love for it. from someone who's never rewatched a drama, this might be the only one that i genuinely want to rewatch sometime in the future. i'm going to miss this drama and alll its characters so much TT. i feel like i'm saying goodbye to people i knew rather than just characters on a screen.

i'm honestly thinking we'll have an ending that leans towards the sadder side TT

i regret watching this movie. it so was good that i'm scared i'll never be able to move on from their story, help.

honestly i’d expect the second season to have nothing to do with the webtoon. the drama took a completely different route and it looks like they’ll be doing their own thing independent of the events in the webtoon bc the webtoon ends when they all make it out of there alive.

i think this is the first drama where i've seen a character finish their coffee/drink :'))
