oh jeez why so bitter?

this was the saddest sort of beautiful. i’ve been looking for a show like this for a while and it hit every last one of my expectations. the chemistry is perfection and the music is the cherry on top of great writing and directing 🌟

like in eps 3-6, what's happened is that she put the ML in a shed in the mountains and then she got punished and put in her own shed and then they spent two episodes on a painting competition. we got a random ass kiss in the middle of all this. the water demon has yet to come back, the princes have done nothing major yet. i just feel that the plot needs to pick up and the romance should've been slower burn.

my point is, all this happened in episode 1/2 and since then, we have had like no plot progression.

i'm not really sure how to feel about this show yet. i'll give it the benefit of the doubt and see if it gets better, but so far i feel that there is no plot yet and the romance is way too rushed.

kwak shi yang should never stop dressing like this and playing characters like this. his role suits him /so/ well.

it's so hard to believe that these two still love each other based on spending one day together 20+ years ago. the kiss was so random and the way he pushed her away afterwards was so unnecessary. the whole scene was really bad writing.

i really enjoyed episode 1 and 2, but 3 and 4 seemed like filler.

i feel like i’ve been ripped off. the rating of familiar wife was only an 8.1 so i went into it thinking it would only be so so BUT WTF IT IS SO GOOD??? this show is literally so funny, so cute, so fast paced. the characters are amazing, it uses all my favorite tropes. i’m in fucking love 😭

my man added nothing to the show :(. i was hoping son seok gu would have a more prominent role.

this show is really good so far but someone let me know why they were gonna break up if only to get back together in the same episode :(

ahahha i’m so glad they put the live back up. i was scared i had missed it for good.

i didn’t expect to get this attached to the characters, but here i am. it’s been 2 days since i finished this show and i’ve bumped it up to a 9 because of the hold it has on me still. this is currently sitting in my top 3 BLs.

that’s exactly what happens. PJE suddenly “changes” and she ends up with him.

i can’t say i’m surprised, i expected this from like ep7, but that doesn’t make me any less disappointed. thank you nevertheless for romanticizing a toxic relationship for us!
