i saw the vision! if this was 8-10 eps instead of only 6, i think we really could've had a great show on our hands. they did their best with what they had though!
just watched ep1 and it was so cute. it feels like i'm watching a drama from a couple years ago which is quite refreshing im ngl. they kept it simple fr. idk why i expected a countryside drama from the trailers, but i'm really excited to see how this story plays out in this setting. i really hope this is going be a healing type drama. it'd be really nice to wind down with this drama every weekend.
oh wow! i didn't know the director was known for this. not sure if i'll be watching his other dramas bc i really am not a fan of gore. this show was directed really well though!
ugh im obsessed with this show. it took me some time to get into it bc the first few episodes are so slow, but i easily got attached to the characters and im having more and more fun watching this as the episodes pass. it's definitely a slow burn kind of story, both with the romance and the actual plot. i could even call this coming of age maybe, a kind of slice of life as we follow the main character through her life. the romance is so toe curling, i was not expecting it at all. i do have a special kind of hatred within me for yuan shen, but yao is so cute, and of course ling buyi is everything we could have asked for and more. it's rare that a cdrama male lead gets to me, but goddamn ling buyi had me squealing. some of the scenes he pulled off were so freaking attractive. i really think one and only and this drama have set the standard for slow burn romances! as for cheng shaoshang, i feel so much for her character that it's difficult for me to put it into words. the only thing i can do is compare her to the female lead from red sleeve. i feel that they share a lot of similarities and so i dread what is coming for her in this marriage.
okay i see why the rating is so low now. it had a really good foundation and some great characters and a LOT of potential. they could have done so much more with this show i feel like. i think the problem was that it was only 6 episodes and they really did as much as they could with these 6 episodes. if it had been 8-10, i feel like they could've really taken their time developing this into something good!
Kdrama pays more attention to female perspective more than male perspective.I saw a lot of kdrama Most of the…
there are a lot of dramas where the main character is a guy! this show (and other kdramas where the woman is the main character) does not oppress men, nor does it spread a misandrist message. i promise you kdramas aren't influencing people to hate or oppress men.
