Ok this is overrated. Its a pretty average drama. The pacing is not very consistent, there's quite a bit of filler scenes and the leads chemistry started strong but couldn't sustain. The side characters stole the show for me, because of better acting and likeability. Eternal love of dream and ashes of love are better. Anw, 90% of this drama takes place in the mortal realm for anyone who wants to know.
Engaging drama. Made me smile, laugh and cry. First time watching Cha Eun Woo act. Thankfully his acting and ability to emote improved with each episode. The first few episodes gave off a rom-com The Heirs vibe with 2 ML fighting for 1 FL. Throughout the drama, some parts can be pretty cliche and predictable, but overall still enjoyable. The side stories especially Hee kyung and Mr Han were great too.
Pacing is a slow sometimes and Li Qin can emote better. Fortunately, chemistry and romantic tension is present. Darren Wang is not the best actor but he has this charisma which is apt for this role.
This story started off good. Funny actress and her side-kick, engaging scenes with interesting premise. As it progresses, the comedy fades off and the pacing slowed down. A very common problem with Chinese dramas - they cannot sustain the goodness and lose grip of audience desire to complete. I think it's just an average drama and I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Watch for the main couple (chemistry 10/10 and one of the sweetest I have seen), the female lead's interaction with 2nd male lead and her own family. Skip the rest and you're good.
The cast, characters, and situations were all entertaining and well worth watching...the problem was that we were…
Right!? That's a pervasive problem for most Cdrama in the modern setting. Seems trying to hit some episode quota, by putting in extra scenes and side characters that doesn't keep audience engaged. Finding it hard to complete this
I put this on hold for the longest time, because I really enjoyed season 1 and didn't want this spin-off to discount that feeling. Season 1 is definitely up a notch as compared to season 2 but this is still worth a watch.
Overall, season 1 has better writing, acting and smarter characters. The underlying conflict and problem between the characters is also stronger and only resolved at the end, which keeps viewers curious to see how it will all unfold.
For season 2, the pacing is better (exclude a couple of episodes for the last quarter). I remember it was kinda slow watching the first 15 episodes of season 1 but didn't felt that for this season. I think the writing is not as well thought out for some parts, but I love how the writer incorporates references to season 1. It invokes all the feels.
I would recommend watching season 1 before starting this and don't bring in the same expectation.
This started off promising, but half way through, the pacing and engagement started to falter. I put it on hold many times with intention to drop but finally got myself to finish. It's not good if I have to motivate myself to finish it
Wise decision to drop. It dragged on towards the end.
The Korean dramas here are usually hyped up because most of the people using this site are fans of Korean dramas. Maybe because the screenwriters are the Hong Sisters. They wrote Master's Sun as well which has similar ghost genre. But MS is waaaay better than this. And IU has high popularity. But her acting is just average. Not a fan of her acting..
Not a big fan of Thai dramas because of the slap kiss, cat fights, plot holes and slow pacing. That says a lot about this drama because I actually completed it. Started for the romance but romance turns out not to be the main plot. Chemistry between the leads is pretty good. Kept watching to see how Tor will carry out his revenge plan and how they will end up together.
This one has slap-kiss, some cat fight and plot holes. But the pacing, action, production techniques and suspense is pretty good which kept me watching. The plot holes only happened at the later part, so it's too late to turn back and drop it.
There's something charming about the ML acting for this role and he has that swag. Also one of the main reasons I completed it.
Sadly, they made the FL quite dumb for someone who is an architect.
Still one of the better Thai dramas I have watched. Its definitely not perfect, but I enjoyed it.
