Okayyyy I'm at episode 7 and the female lead is smiling too much. Like I know she is supposed to be a warm person but it's kinda forced. Can someone tell me if it gets better?
I think it started strong with focus on romance and ended with more focus on the fight between warlords. No urge to drop it but just an average drama for passing time. Some scenes were exaggerated and not well written. First drama with these actors and actresses. Female lead has potential. Her eyes can speak.
Great versatile actress. I'm impressed with her acting in The Red Sleeve. She cries so naturally my heart broke with her. Then I come here and realised she also acted in Parasite and True Beauty. Didn't realise they are the same person.. So she could be the poor/annoying mum in Parasite, controlling/strict mum in True Beauty and the silly/heartwarming court lady in The Red Sleeve. Wow.
Indeed! She could be the poor and annoying mum in Parasite, controlling and demanding mum in True Beauty and the silly/heartwarming court lady in The Red Sleeve. Wow.
Jang Hye Jin nailed the character as Court Lady Seo. Such a veteran actress with excellent acting. When she was acting silly, I laughed with her. When she cried, it was so heartbreaking and genuine, I cried with her. Enjoyed her acting the most.
The Grandfather acting as King Yeongjo wasn't too bad as well. I'm frightened by his force with certain scenes.
First drama with Lee Jun Ho and Lee Se Young. Not too bad for young actor and actress.
Jun Ho sometimes spoke with a firm tone as Crown Prince/Majesty and it raised goosebumps down my arms. But work needed for some crying scenes as he exerted too much force.
Lee Se Young looks like a doll. Relate and felt sad for her in some scenes. But could tone down on the wide doe eyes acting to look more natural.
Love their chemistry and wished there were more scenes of them together in the later episodes. I like how Duk Im and her friends are so supportive towards one another as well.
Some scenes' pacing is a little slow. Overall, still a beautiful drama but the last 2 episodes were a little heart wrecking..
I am at episode 21 and can't continue any further.. It's mediocre and there's nothing interesting to keep me going. The main leads chemistry is not strong as well
I find the videos uploaded on Youku English YouTube channel has the best subs. It's accurate and quite well translated. Recommend not to start if you need subtitles because Youku only has it subbed till episode 11..
I have watched up to the latest episode 18. Caught me by surprise, this show is really addictive. First time watching all these actors. Pleasant looks and acting. And, I believe the ML can have chemistry with a rock if he wanted to. It's an attractive factor
I mean if I watched about a third of the episodes.. And it's still not picking up.. Why continue..? But whatever, if you like it, good for you. Not my cup of tea
Just like most Chinese dramas, it started strong and well paced, but faltered towards the end. The story became slow and honestly I don't understand some of the female lead actions.. Started watching at 1.5x speed for most of their college episodes. I think it's a drama to start only when you have too much time on hand. Pretty average.. Male lead acting is commendable, but his face looks like it went under the knife.. Female lead looks pretty cute and nice smile but acting wise need some improvement
It's largely different. This is about police and doctor. DOTS is about military man (soldier) and doctor. I think the similarity is an earthquake happened in both dramas (but the details are different). The couple dates gets interrupted when duties call, which is pretty common for these jobs protecting the people (police, soldiers and doctors).

1. Nirvana in Fire
2. Story of Yanxi Palace
3. Sound of the Desert
4. You Are My Hero
5. A Love So Beautiful
6. My Sunshine
Love 020 and Boss& Me are not bad too, but just light and fluffy writing with low re-watch value.
