Which bootleg sites are still available? Recently there has been a widespread crackdown & the only site which…
kisskh.co but make sure you have malware/ad blockers installed as these sites you surf at your own risk. I just subscribed to disney/hulu for black friday deal so probably just watch regular sites now.

Yeah translation is glitchy but tbh I can wait as I was quite pleased to see so many new J-dramas on Netflix. I have trouble finding them on (ahem) bootleg sites. I do subscribe to the regular channels as well (Youku VIP, viki, Netflix premium) for my K-drama, C-drama and J-drama consumption but sometimes the bootleg sites have episodes up faster that the paid premium sites LOL. Watching this one as well as AARO. Will check out Okura.

Its kinda a fun way to introduce all the Japanese demons/yokai to western audience. I am enjoying each episode as a new myth is introduced. And the child actors are too adorable. When I see them in their uniforms and little backpacks - the mom in me just melts. Only thing that bugs me is the Netflix translation used "god" to describe each of these beings with supernatural powers. Seems a bit of an overkill to call them gods so wondering if something was lost in translation?

Should we all request iQiyi to release this drama ?Who knows, they might listen to our request😢
Where do we go to request? Yeah I wish they would release this drama. Just finished Smile Code - only Shen Yue can deliver on the sweet rom-com like no other.

Shen Yue delivers yet another sweet rom-com. Wonderful and heart-warming drama about relationships. Now I just wish they would release Comic Bang.

Title The Story of Pearl Girl Spoiler
It definitely was not the ending I was hoping for but after a night of thinking about it - the ending does make sense. YZJ had been foreshadowing his ending throughout - he mentioned more than once that his only goal in life is to seek revenge and clear his family name. Having accomplished both, his story arc is complete. Filling in the gaps, I'd like to think that he and Duanwu were able to spend whatever time they had together enjoying each other's company. Once he passed, there was nothing left for Duanwu to accomplish in Yangzhou as she attained her goals there as well so she left on a pilgrimage across the Silk Road to be a nomad peddler. I'd like to think that Yun Xiu accompanied her. Given Yun Xiu dogged walk across the desert to find Duanwu the first time, I imagine she would not want to be parted with her big sister. And Kang Ju probably, now set up well financially by YZJ also has no more ties, accompanies them on their pilgrimage. This leaves Cui ZhuoHua/ShiJi, Ying Tao and her bandit bff to man Clear Mind, and run the rest of the jewelry business. I did want YZJ to have a happy ending but I think given how his character arc was written, a happy ending would have seemed forced. As for Duanwu - the way her character arc was written, you know that she is a survivor and will be ok. I liked that the main theme of the story was centered around female empowerment. While there was romance, it was not the main theme of this drama. All in all - quite the masterpiece and I am glad I got to go on this journey with Lusi and team.

Hey guys? What do you guys think of that AvenueX girl on YouTube doing drama review??? I know she is bias and…
Yeah I agree. She can be overly critical (and tries to come across as authoritative although what one likes about a drama is super subjective). I have called her out on her dumping on Hidden Love - she was super harsh calling it grooming where I did not see any of that as she did not bother as well about sticking through to a few more episodes. Ironically I discovered 2 of my favorite actresses (Zhao LiYing and Zhao Lusi) from her channel where she spoke highly of Story of MingLan and Romance of Tiger and Rose. Anyway - who cares right - as long as we enjoy the drama - that's all that matters.

Why is Wu Lei doing such insipid romance dramas (the billiard in snow - lord can we come up with a more boring sport. If you are doing it in a snowy place, at least do snowboarding or skiing, or sled dog racing with more action. Has anyone sat through a pool game on tv -it is SLOW! And the tennis one was meh as well) The "gloomy, silent genius" is such an overused trope in Chinese dramas. He is so mis-type casted for these modern romance type roles as he has a lot of gravitas on screen in spite of his age (like ChenXingXu of Goodbye My Princess). I would love to see him in another historical drama like Love Like the Galaxy where there was romance but it wasn't a lot of PDA and had a strong story thread of revenge. This role really did justice to his talents and of course the CP with Zhao Lusi cannot be beat - it was such a great balance of two strong but broken individuals who found love and redemption in each other. I just rewatched it for the 4th time. It's also my favorite drama of Zhao Lusi - although I have high hopes for the Legend of Jewelry.

Honestly, the atrocities committed by the Japanese during Japanese occupation of Asia are not aired that much compared to Nazi Germany and we don't see Germans crying anti-Germans every time Hollywood rolls out a movie about that time period. What happened was real and film makers have every right to refer to that time period. Nationalistic movements seeking to rewrite the past are dangerous. We need to remember history so as not to repeat it. I am from S E Asia and know of the atrocities committed since this happened in my parent's generation but I am not a Japanese hater. In fact, I appreciate Japanese culture, its people, and always enjoy visiting there. I can separate the two so give people credit that they can acknowledge the past, yet appreciate the present. I was planning to skip this drama because of the monster element but now will actually watch it.

I saw them too in particular it a acc called Seleon (not sure if its the same person you saw). The things she’s…
Favorite Lusi drama? I would say a tie between LLTG and Hidden Love. But I will also go back and rewatch ROTAR as well. I hope TLOJ will have the epicness of LLTG, CP chemistry of Hidden Love and good plot like ROTAR. I am not watching any C-drama rn since TLI ended. Waiting for Scout Hero (Sandra Ma) and As Beautiful As You (I also like Tan Song Yun or Seven Tan). I will check it out SOKP - heard good things about it.

Yes I like that one - there's season 2 as well. If you like that, you might also like Tomorrow (grim reapers as well) and I forgot - modern drama - Taxi Driver is super good. Yes - I also follow all of Lusi's dramas ever since I discovered her in ROTAR. I have not been able to get into Esther - something about her vibe turns me off. Sorry, but I t really tried 3X to get started on LBFAD but could not bcoz of her voice. I like Bai Lu in her variety shows - she comes across as a very cool chick. Kinda like a friend you would love to have. But haven't got into her dramas. Maybe will try one of them.

Loving the costumes and look of the drama from the clips so far. Hope the director and script writer live up to the promise because I know the actors (ZLS and LYN) will bring their A game to the drama. So very excited about this drama. Don't really care about all the stupid haters and references to LYN and AJTL - different drama and production team and its just distraction and noise. Given they are still filming guessing we won't see it until late 2024? So long a wait! I really hope the script and director don't mess it up - because this shows promise to be ZLS's next huge hit and LYN's salvation as the true leading man than he is. It will be picked up by Netflix and Amazon and the support from us the global international audience will overwhelm all the negative comments from the online haters.

Yuki you should check out Mr Queen - I think you will love it. I flip between C-dramas (just follow only my favorite actors - Lusi, Sandra Ma, Shen Yue and Liang Jie. Oddly no male actors.) and K-dramas. Also Extraordinary Attorney Woo (in Netflix) is super good. They do have a better range of scripts and I think it's because they put out less dramas. So of course, less quantity means quality tends to be better generally.

Yes his styling looks so good on him! I hope this drama is a smash for him and Lusi and compensates for the negativeness that came with Journey to Love.

Thank you for all your sweet words jcg. I think Lusi really suited A yin she really portray her well. My heart…
You have a good point. Wang Yibo does have the craziest fans - I saw a clip of some crazy woman disrupting his plane ride - kneeling in the aisle asking to be "his concubine". If I was one of the passengers nearby, I would have told her to shut the f up and leave the guy alone. Nobody wants to hear that s^&t on the plane. Chinese fans have no respect for personal privacy. Poor dude - the price of fame. I had a similar star sighting of Natalie Portman in an Israeli restaurant. She sat a few tables away from me. My male colleagues were over the moon and we were going to take a picture when she turned to us, stared and shook her head. So we left her alone. Fans have to realize that actors and actress - the dramas they do are for work and when they are not working, they want to be left alone to their own lives. So sad that it's so intense for Chinese and Korean celebrities - even more so that American ones.
