Yeah I can't comprehend it either. I love k-dramas but the alcohol consumption in every drama where the characters drink so much they black out from it - glorifies alcoholism - and I find it very uncomfortable to watch. Here in US, that is what we call "falling down drunk" and usually behavior you see in college dorms. Most social settings, we drink but in moderation and hey, we are allowed to smoke a joint as well in private if we so choose. Feel so sad for Lee Sun Kyun and his family.

Just so sad this had to come to him taking his own life. His wife and kids must be devastated. :(

And let's not point out the super hypocritical stance of his accusers - someone under the influence of alcohol is much more likely to cause harm to others (drunk driving, abusive/aggressive behavior) than someone who is high on pot. And yet, alcohol - which I totally consider a drug - is celebrated in Korean culture (just watch any k-drama). So one can be falling down drunk, pissing in public or picking fights but it's ok but if one take drugs in privacy of one's house or bar - then one is stoned to death in public opinion. Massively screwed up society.

Even if he did take drugs - honestly what is the big deal Koreans? We in the US have legalized marijuana and people in showbiz take drugs like cocaine etc ALL the time. What they do to their own bodies - hey it's their bodies. And speaking of drugs - how hypocritical is it that massive alcohol consumption is celebrated when alcohol probably causes more harm to other people (drunk driving, aggressive/abusive behavior) than someone who is high on pot does.

What a horrible, punitive society - the very ugly side of Korea behind the glitz of K-wave. I am so sad that such a talented man has been driven to suicide for doing something that did no harm to anyone (besides himself if he did indeed do drugs). I think online trolls are just going over the top - who cares if a celebrity takes drugs? I mean if that is the case that warrants such punishment, then there won't be many in Hollywood who will be around. I mean marijuana is legal in some countries including here in California because we understand it's not a drug that harms other people - and frankly we really haven't seen any issues after legalization. And hey, tons of people here take cocaine as well given the very healthy drug trade going on. Such witch hunts have got to stop. So tragic - such a great talent lost so soon. People really ought to get off their high horses and freaking get a life.

But wow - the chemistry between the leads in Goodbye My Princess was explosive - the actor blew it out of the water - I still have such a strong impression of the drama - but its not one I can bear to watch again. I'd love for him to pair with ZLS. The OST about the fox in the desert is so beautiful and haunting. He played the tragic villain hero so well. I also loved Minglan and am a fan of ZLY. Waiting for her drama Legend of Shen Li to air. I have Snow Sword Stride on my watch list- will check it out while waiting for TLI episodes to air. Might also do same with Princess Wie Young. ZZY leaves me cold. So hard pass on Love & Destiny. I am watching Xian Xia for Lusi. That genre is a bit over the top for me - all the lightning zaps border on cartoony. I think even the TLI actors who were mostly doing Xian XIa for the first time said there was a lot of giggling behind the scenes from all the hand waving they had to do.

I also like her with the Demon King. I noticed him in Love Like the Galaxy as well during first episode when he was killed - thought they made a good pair. He should get a ML - he's got quite a presence and def good looking. Given that the tier 1 ML like Leo Wu, Dylan Wang and Wang Yibo probably don't want to share equal billing with a FL so hard to get a CP in future with them much as I'd love to see any of those pairings with Lusi, expect Lusi will be the FL giving 2nd tier promising MLs a boost to their career.

LOL oh no - have not but is it on webtv? Gotta check it out. I only saw the angst ones from ep 20-24. BTW - it's so fun chatting with fellow viewers and Lusi fans. Hope we all do it again when Legend of Jewelry starts up next year.

Really dragging the angst out with 1 episode/day until Xmas. TBH I could have done away with all the flute-love memory wipeout. ML would still have a strong arc if they focus on his conflict with his role as "true god" and their relationship. At least it would make him look less gullible (tricked first by Peacock lady, then aunt, then I wonder who else). Script writer/director gonna have to work hard 2nd half to convince me this boy is a True God. Second ML is more mature and at least consistent in his affections towards A Yin. I am almost at point where I wanna say: forget about the damn relationship and let A Yin become Feng Yin and do her revenge thing. This romance isn't going any where and script writer hasn't done much to keep us invested in it. I will stay to the end for Lusi but kind of worried that the plot and pace hasn't turned around at this point. Also thinking maybe Lusi should stay away from Xian Xia romance and focus on modern or wuxia and explore new genres like she says she wants to do. Anyone feel the same?

Yeah totally agree - so much hate and negativity only rots one's soul. Wished that people realize this is just acting and actors doing their job. There are lots of actors I am not fond of but hey, I just don't watch their dramas - no need to go around posting bad things because that kind of bad karma will come back on these folks. They need to get a life. The real world isn't a c-drama.

LOL - but yeah I did see them communicate a bit more from other clips so I take back what I said about DW being distant. Seemed friendly enough. Altho with WangYibo wished there was a bit more acknowledgement - I really hope for a CP between them but probably won't happen since both are too big stars to play second fiddle to one another. And he does more artsy films although ZLS has been quoted as saying she wants to try other genre she hasn't done b4 so maybe still have hope there.

its funny to see the comments about the ML because ZLS mentioned in an interview that she specifically chose TLI because in the script for a change, it's the ML who is "low-IQ" rather than the FL who runs around being silly - and she no longer wants to do those kind of scripts. So that is exactly how its playing out here. Probably why a lot of other male actors bowed out coz they did not want to come off less macho/alpha male. But good for WAY because if this one turns out to be a hit as most of our Lusi's dramas are, it will give him a big popular boost as well. Esp given she is so popular with international audiences (well ppl like us LOL) given her recent award.

Oh yeah you are right. Reincarnate many times to become a phoenix. I hope he doesn't side with the other side when she is punished. Saw some trailers but they don't give away too much except she has the white hair i think in episode 20 and he is trying to save her lifespan or something like that. She looks STUNNING in the white hair. So ethereal - so even if sad, I am looking forward to her "new look".
