meh. how can it be SO boring compared to S1? Alternate Universe I am all for...but the universe must be at least somewhat as compelling as the previous one. I don't even care about/plan to watch the last two episodes. Pacing is weird too. Random "bad guy" plots stuck throughout and it feels like a big ol mess, imho.
On Episode 22 and I've come to really really dislike Xie Xiao as a character. What a jerk. Actually, as SOON as we see him after that first time, he becomes such an eyesore in the show. I haven't disliked a character this much in a long time. UGH. Spoiled. Selfish. Brat who puts everyone in danger because he has zero self control and foresight.
Hahaha! I hope you've already finished munching your popcorn and the show. Like you, I like the second male lead…
@chinesedramafan thanks! I am waiting for subs on Viki for Under the Power. I'm super excited about that one. I've been on the fence about The Untamed, but I'll bump it up and give it a go! Thanks for the recs!
I'm REALLY REALLY wanting to be on #TeamSecondMaleLead but they are making it AWFULLY hard and I'm on ep 25 :(
the REALLY sad part is... the NIGHT before the 2nd male lead uses the FL to set up a trap when she went to the river, she was just about to completely let go of the past and let him have a tiny piece of her heart which no doubt would have grown easily. But he didn't realize that and used her and she's too smart to not figure that out easily. That's where he f*d up. BUT let's be real... even if he hadn't used her THEN he would have LATER because his hatred/revenge was too strong, so they were doomed from the start. Sad Panda. :*(
watched this a second time to see if I was too harsh in my opinion of not really liking this show the first time I watched it (back then I didn't love fantasy based as much as I do now) but I still think this show just isn't the best. So far, of all the fantasy historicals I've watched, this still has to be my least favorite of all. :-/
on episode 36 and I have no idea why, but I'm completely bored with the show at this point. eh. I'll set it aside and try something else for the time being.
On episode four and I still dislike the FL (she's just not a good person/likable for so long already. yikes.) and her fashion sense is getting very annoying.
Agreee, I hate this type of ending but I manage to watch till the end because of the great acting and how the…
also agree. the kind of characters and acting that can make you hate them and yet pity & hope for them at the same time. Did anyone else KIND OF & weirdly hope that his wife and the jewelry guy who was afraid of mirrors would've had a tiny spark between them? No? Just me? ;-)
was the ML inlove with his mistress or was it just pity all along?please reply...im to depressed after watching…
imho he was never in love with her. I think it was an emotional tie he regretted immediately and wanted to quickly sever but kept getting sucked back in because of how pitiful her life was . He was pushing her away 90% of the show and the last few episodes it seemed he began clinging onto her to help his wife move past her pain more quickly through anger instead of hanging onto any threads of hope. UGH. Frustrating show.
*still munching popcorn while obviously chatting with myself*
*eats more popcorn*
