I think the narrative falls short in selling BYT and Linglong's connection to their brother and aunt. Bc it was…
I fully agree, the story truly felt like “hey let’s make the series longer so let’s add this story” and has no face value other than explaining BYT’s anger at the magistrate.

He can't kill coz he is an imperial officer. He is just using the back of this sword to prevent his self from…
yes I’ve heard that still makes his character less believable as a martial artist of some kind. love the fight scene.

I’m on episode 26 and I’ve noticed the storyline of the dead brother just went on a tangent and too long. another typical Chinese drama filler. I have to rate these last few episodes much lower for the context. this show appears to have lost its steam since 5 episodes prior. and what’s a fighter who can’t use a sword…maybe they should title the show The return of Kung Fu with David Carradine (sarcasm intended). can we now move on.

Japanese writers and directors truly know how to bring the best out of their actors…BL or not. And that very short scene in the rain with and umbrella…that did it for me. I felt for both of them. this is an awesome series.

just making it to episode 14 and the close-space sword fight scenes are so good…the creative way this show made this scene puts other shows to shame. and yet there is more to come. the sword fighting is out of this world.

glad I’m keeping up with my mandarin love the convo in the temple and shows who in the group was keeping up with the mandarin studies. more supposing is the ensemble, it’s like the thai Ghosbusters and more!!! everytime Sky shouts his prayers I’m shouting with him.

it’s a struggle to finish this series…it’s like climbing Mount Everest…full of slippery slopes. glad everyone likes this kind of storytelling but I can’t even laugh anymore…the penultimate result of the pandemic when K-drama went mainstream it lost a lot of its original charm. don’t hate me I’m just not like you and it’s OL not to be alright.

very rare does any drama capture my attention and this show did that. it’s not perfect but the actors were really good in portraying their roles, the script was very creative and though I had some idea the plot twist threw me off…Dylan Wang very subtly but confidently played his role though I feel his just supporting here, and you know who really is leading this drama. but there are flaws, so many flaws in the storyline though I’m willing to forgive the script as overall the show does capture one’s attention. as the quote goes “Hell hath no fury of a woman scorned”

Wrote him to be this all powerful jianghu archetype while also use the script to make him impotent. Its pretty…
ahahahaha rinse repeat. I love that. I feel the same way. maybe they will build him with more power later but his role does act like a lame duck.

I am enjoying this show but not to the degree that ai would say it’s a great show. I am laughing at the slapstick…
oh I’m at episode 4 so maybe it gets darker…

I am enjoying this show but not to the degree that ai would say it’s a great show. I am laughing at the slapstick comedy and the situation comedy parts but wherebibstrugglenis when suddenly an very serious story is inserted. it’s making me bipolar for some reason. do I want to laugh and be sad or angry. three emotions in one show. because it’s not a rom-com it’s not a feel good funny but again slapstick laughable comedy. still not at par with other superhero shows of the past but fairly good enough. maybe it’s a dramedy or tragic comedy…or maybe I’m just a foolish about it.

Well. Cdrama always have lead to be very powerful so they can solve everything. The below the king but on top…
what your saying makes sense and maybe I wanted more but the last episode Bai explains his challenge and it made sense. now it’s up to Zhao to decide what he wants to do. I still love this series.

maybe the character is designed to be the penultimate honest guy but is it just me who feels he is a powerless Official of the Emperor? usually I’ve seen officials with strength and power and at least a dozen men behind him. I love the acting and fight scenes I just struggle with the concept of a loner level 4 official. however I am enjoying the creative fight scenes.

I am really the close-space fight scenes, less use of CGI, challenging for cameraman and much harder for actors but the action feels so real, not much use of strings except for some parts. awesome show.

what’s the difference between love and desire…a very thin line! episode reminds me of Addicted and Revenged Love, why I loved these shows is the tension is unbearable and yet men forcing themselves though unacceptable is the difference between love and desire. it’s the recovery after the event. I’m glad I’ve never read or watched the previous shows because I am looking forward to every episode. the anticipation and the progression is what makes this a great BL.

Not really, there are actually not that many attractive men in SG
different strokes for different folks as they say. I grew up in SG so to my eyes my classmates were good looking.

It gets better actually. I find the fight scenes at the inn in first episode a little underwhelming but the following…
so far it has only gotten better. definitely loving it

SG men are always hot…and Ayden, talented and very intelligent taking a risk with BL show may have hit the home run. it shows his diversity in skills and talent. you wouldn’t think this is his first BL, the kiss is just golden. and their chemistry is boiling hot. this definitely opens the road for the cast.
