at first I wasn’t sure about this drama. I wanted more clarity so I started PA but decided to stop. it wouldn’t be fair to judge this series against the previous one made 9 years ago. let Revieth stand on its own and be judged on its merit. I’m at episode 5 and it’s beginning to take shape. honestly I prefer this pace than Veil of Shadows. hopefully they can sustain this series to 40 episodes.

Title Rebirth
I think the issue when the first part was 9 years ago, trying the get the new younger audience to understand the context of the story is to edit previous and current storylines. that is a difficult task for the editor, the episodes keeps vacillating to the past and present and can easily distract the audience. I personally struggled to keep up with the characters and their roles. eventually this will bake into a singular storyline but theses first parts is truly a struggle.

I am struggling to finish episode 15….it is sooooooooo slowwwww! the story just keeps dragging on. I probably won’t finish this series at all not to the next one. and I really liked RJL in One and only and Forever and ever.

nahh these episodes are here for a reason, if it's not important it will be told in passing, considering FoF and…
probably so my opinion is that there were three timelines in these long episodes which could have been told in away that flowed better instead of frequent switching of the time order and hence would shortened the episodes. however if there are only 29 episodes then the series is already short as it is and maybe this script was written to add these four episodes. but I’m glad I made it to episode 17 now…without fast forwarding.

personally I would skip episode 12-15 and move on to 16. they could have made the longest story ever told into one episode. maybe I’m just impatient but the writing got to convoluted. and yes I have been rating each episode

it started confusing as to packing the context and history of the characters but as the story unfolds it’s beginning to be more interesting. The CGI is top notch production which these type of shows are now fully dependent on. I hope the storyline continues to improve.

I’m only on the fourth episode and I’m struggling with keeping up as to who is whom. remembering which person is what name. and worse, their faces are so monotonous. I had to rewind several time just to confirm I understood what’s going on. this show in four episodes is already westing me out. I’ll probably drop this fast. too many lead and too many characters means too many stories which will get more convoluted based on my experience with Chinese dramas. definitely not in the same caliber of storytelling from the best C dramas out there.
On The Eighth Sense 10 days ago
I’ve reached a point where I’ve watched enough BL that finishing a series now requires something more, something meaningful. Not just chemistry, not just fan service, but a reason to invest my time.

The Eighth Sense is one of those rare shows that understands relationships beyond labels. Whether straight or gay, it explores how people grow into each other, how timing, emotional baggage, and self-awareness shape connection. It reminds us that relationships aren’t just about romance; they’re about helping each other carry the weight we bring with us.

This isn’t a show driven by “shipping” or exaggerated chemistry. It simply is. And if you know, you know.

whereas One and Only was Romeo and Juliet, Forever and Ever is Crazy Rich Asians to the extreme. I love RLJ acting, so natural and most difficult to act is a stoic person with deep emotions. Bao Linus beautiful and a great partner for RLJ and their chemistry showed. this is a slow dance love story, with a lot of healing deep and hidden pains. the family interactions create enough depth to the whole drama. to understand the depth of their story I feel watching One and Only helps as their tragic love began in their previous life. this series tugs your heart in every direction, anger, sadness, loneliness, happiness, but it also leaves you hope.
On Always Meet Again 12 days ago
it’s not the ending most viewers won’t like but the creative writing really stitched it together…sure they werent holding hands in the last episode but it doesn’t mean the don’t end up together which in this case all hints say they do. but the story is not about the ending, it’s how their love transcends time and change their lives. yep I was telling myself that’s it and then realized it’s not a sad ending, it’s actually a happy ending. I just love how Koreans make short BL dramas.

I completely agree, a great director leads to an even greater show. well written.

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
I think the most touching scene of the whole series is on the last episode, when they both went back to Lin’an and the ghost of the people who were massacred welcomed them back. for me it closed that loop from the beginning til end. the massacre was also the darkest part of the story. very touching.

The post credit ending was simply an 'imagination'. An imagination that if the massacre of 17 years ago had not…
they created a what if scenario which for me was kinda nice, what if 17 years ago the emperor did not do what he did, and they all lived happily ever after. kinda corny but like an icing on the cake.

Title One and Only
I’m at episode 17 and the first 15 episode the pace went well and then it seems to have hit a wall or a speed bump and just drastically slowed down. I sincerely want to believe a very young prince could lead an army to war and win, with battle scars to prove but hey, it’s a drama so anything is possible. I feel like the writer had to decide when this push-pull relationship will eventually give in and goes downhill and maybe it’s at this point. but it just dragged on for two episodes. and it just lacked that spark maybe because our prince is just so stoic he’s personality is plain as milk. not even a sign of excitement…not a spark of of smile. without spilling I guess this is the beginning of the end. woe is me I’m for sad shows but please keep it to 1-2 episodes or my heart may give in. the best news is that its only 24 episodes.

yeah but not to the point it changes your facial muscles ability to act. it’s my opinion as I see it so chill brother or sister as the case may be.
On My Journey to You 20 days ago
I really wanted to like this but the dialogues are soooooooo long and dragging. it just keeps going on and on and on. and what’s with the sister in a comedic role with the Jade Guard. as dark as the show is why insert comedy? it’s not really a dramedy. I’ve never fast tracked so many episode and skipped chapters even just to get to the point. this could have been completed in 12 episodes but painstakingly made longer. and Linghe’s role was pathetic that you just want to root for the antagonist specially the cruel brother. don’t even get me started with the useless elders, what was their role anyway? oh well can’t win them all. I’m giving this show a 3/10

I watched and rewatched Zhnag Ling He in The Story of Kunning Palace and he looks much older in that show. But in Pursuitbof Jade he looks like he had a complete makeover, younger and even less wrinkle when he smiles. Maybe Botox around the cheeks, I’m not complaining he definitely looks much better in this show.

I would have rated this higher and it started out really great. unfortunately like a lot of Chinese and Korean dramas, it is filled with so much redirected stories design for audience to think one way only to explain what really happened later. it’s designed to pull you into the story only to learn, oh that’s why! for me that only works in Detective shows. in order not to spill the beans I can’t really tell what parts were redirect and misdirections. just like a magic trick but through creative writing. this show has too much of that. could have been completed in 10 less episodes IMHO. a Lott of good actors though and that’s a plus.
