I really love this period series and like many period series, consistency is key or it can be distracting. I know no am knit-picking so forgive my rant. For this time period, the hospital setting was very modern, the sliding door, the overhead lights and specially the curtains are are new hospitals use, after all this is my field of work. There are so many old buildings in Thailand that can be used as a hospital with old-style windows. Someone just got lazy in using the right props.

Someone please tell me the story doesn’t end in episode 10 or it’s going to feel like a disappointing ending. Thebcharacter buildup was good but it still needs more time to simmer. Taking us deeper into the dark side of the is a nice emotional ride but the karma should be equally long.

This is a case when a casting directors sleeps from doing their job…a waste of potential specially when K-pop idols try to take the risk of doing a BL the script and cast should be right on. But this has been a KBL issue lately and maybe why the industry struggles to go mainstream in SK. There are few exceptions of course but how many careers grew beyond their BL roles. very few. To say the show had potential is not even close, hopeful maybe. The screenplay was rushed and the poor editing made it feel like eating Hawaiin pizza (forgive me if I offend lovers of this pizza), but pineapple has no room in a pizza bread. I’m just glad it’s over. on to the next.

I’ve written it before but this series should have ended in episode 8. The last three was basically Die Hard in South Korea filled with nonsensical storyline and tropes it made me cringe. The first eight was a wild roller coaster, enjoyable at every corner but only to end failing into a cliff. sorry if I make you upset but not all of us gets excited with mediocre stories.

I agree with what you said, especially about how the director makes us empathise with Xiao Fan. Hopefully, as…
I know our hero will triumph in the end, I was just bothered when he was kept handcuffed while his supposedly wife tries to force him to have sex in front of his friends when he kept resisting. That is in our book of healthcare frontliners considered non-concensual. And of course our top comes in to save him but somehow took advantage of the situation while he’s on hand cuffs. It’s is but a short scene but was bothersome for us who deals with rape victims. I always cringe with Asian BL’s and forced sex as I be seen a lot of that already. It’s to the point that society is forgetting the victim and focus the voyeurism instead. Now I did give this show a chance and corned watching because I want to see our hero overcome all obstacle. Though not realistic it is achievable in TV shows.

I don't understand why you mention a tragic ending since the series ends on a positive note.
In my book just because a hero or heroine lives, getting there involves the death of many. For me such is unnecessary to keep watchers down only to keep the leads alive.

yes thailands evolution was slow but not as bad compared to other South Asian countries. Forget Malaysia and Indonesia. SK is gradually accepting. SG has been gradually open with restrictions. Philippines was never an issue, but same sex marriage will struggle to pass.

I appreciate your review but your rating really confused me. it’s this kind of scoring that changes averages. I would recommend in the future please rate it the way you see it for all of us who reads and writes reviews. thank you.

I agree that ending needed to be more fleshed out. It felt like it needed one more episode to drive home closer.…

On Don't Be Too Emotional Jul 24, 2026
Darn. pJane was human after all, quick to anger and for one who says “don’t be too emotional” he was the antithesis of that statement. He definitely is not the devil but a deeply psychotic person. Remember Julia Roberts’ “Sleeping with the enemy”?

The most anti-climatic ending of a show with so much potential. Thebine who stole the show was Cho Min Kyu as the crazy son, he was brilliant in his role. Our defenseless former cop turned lawyer was so pathetic and lame. and he sunset beach ending using handcuffs as a symbol of commitment….geez what a cliche. I feel the write didn’t know how to end the series which is sad.

yes I do miss masculine lead actors of the old days. Flower Boys seems to be the norm. hard to distinguish what is what. I’m not sexisr as beauty is in the person regardless of their sexual preference.

She was probably the first FL that I didn't caught at naked eye that she was a woman, just after she spoke I did…
from the moment she presented herself with the FL I figured she was a woman. I assumed her roles was an imperial guard and a top ranking officer at that as the son of a noble. then again I may have misunderstood her role in the palace. so I guess there are reserves in uniform just walking around the city. I still like her role in their love team kinda cute actually.
