Then would that make it the Ji Ling, Lu Wuyi, and Weasel show. The fact you can't even call him by his name 😭🤧
yep. he’s my favorite weasel and let’s leave it at that.

this really should be calle ā€œthe Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi showā€. everyone else are just supporting roles. I don’t even understand why Joseph Cheng is billed as main character. maybe to use his fame but he plays such a minimal role here that his sidekick the Weasel even has a bigger more interesting story.

this series should have been titled ā€œ the tail of two foxesā€ or ā€œit’s not the tail of the dragonsā€

Respectfully, it is not. Go watch Nirvana in Fire.
you are probablybrightbuthinhavent seen that yet I am only comparing current shows. sadly there are too many c dramas I can’t watch them all. I also watch a lot of English and other countries’ shows. maybe if or when I have the luxury of more time I’ll watch other shows that is accessible for my subscriptions.

This is the Chinese ā€œGame of Thronesā€ and no character is sacred to be saved. truly different from other montononous Chinese dramas. the tension is killing emotionally but the realities are awesome. episode 23 I thought was a dream only to wake up to reality.

I have it on my plan to watch list. How is it so far? The rating does not look so good. Should I watch it?
oh the tension between characters put other shows to shame. not for the soft hearted. I love it.

I’m amazed how they’re able to retain the tension all along. At episode 22 there has been various characters and kept tension in their relationship. not one boring character at all. definitely beats the other shows that are currently shown on storytelling. it can stand in its own merit and people should stop comparing this to PA. completely different genre. each one can stand in their own.

Just curious what else do you want to know about the 10th dragon son ?
when there are so many characters in a series character development takes time to focus on each individual specially the leads. I feel as one of two male leads he is not presented as the stronger one of the two, kinder, yes, but strength in character for me is someone who grapples challenging situations not just love relationships. it’s like how would a general be credible if they don’t fight a war. I have yet to see how he tackles war or maybe this isn’t where the scriptwriter wants to go with this and no respect that but doesn’t mean I like it. the beauty of discussions are understanding and hearing differences. now with 8 episodes to go we’ll see how it goes.

that’s the entire plot though?
I hope the plot grows into who he truly is as an person. I also feel his just the sidekick to our awesome 9-tailed fox heroine. now her character has truly evolved and became more interesting

he's the only one can kill a dragon.
yes he is and who is the dragon he is suppose to kill…the evil snake?

On the 10th dragon arc was literally like 15—19 eps?? Plus, both of them are contradictions of each other.
yes one is very young and they are contradictions but it doesn’t mean he should be weakening character as his role portrayed. in this late of the series he should be growing his wings and let the fight begin.

I'm just curious cause out of the 4 Lead character, WSG character is honestly the least complex out of all 4.
I agree and for me that also mean lacking depth of character. who is the real 10th son, I have more feelings toward the fake dragon deity and have more empathy towards him. maybe he is the center of the story and the 10th son is just the support role.

Well the 10 dragon son was never the core of the storytelling, I indeed wants more of him but his romance story…
maybe that’s it where are the dragons. there’s a fake one, and the real one that has yet to grow its horn and fangs. seriously I’m rooting for the nine headed snake. she or he is doing all the heavy load for the series.

I feel there’s not enough character development. and maybe he is t the star of the show but a lot of the advertising I saw is focused on him.

I’m still kinda disappointed with the storytelling… too many chapters spent on the fake dragon deity but little on the 10th dragon son. yes there’s bits and piece and with only 10 episodes left it will all be crammed in the end. the pace is too slow that you just feel you’re being dangled on a cliff. hence people watching at different stages will get confused. I’ve been told that’s how this screenwriter likes to tell his stories and direct them as well but like Fangs of Fortune I couldn’t finish the series it was just inconsistent. readin a novel is an active process whilst watching a show is passive so your left waiting. though that’s what fast forward is for. I really can’t rate this show higher than a 7 and credit to their acting is very good.

at episode 14 the storyline is gradually unfolding and yet 26 more episodes to go. however, I am glad I stopped watching POJ to avoid diluting my bias. if people can be fair which is really difficult, unless to use AI to change the faces to original actors of POJ, it would not make sense to use the original actors. they have, however, done a good job of the replacements. good acting skills is good acting skills. and it’s not their fault part two was done 9 years later. I just hope theycc bc an sustain this tensely storyline.

at first I wasn’t sure I would like this series with an over-the-top Duang but it grew on me. what got me hooked is how the two of them evolved, their chemistry, the cute moments, tackling abuse and the family values. it’s not heavy drama, light enough I can chew on it like a light sandwich with bit of them in the middle.
