just saw the first two episodes and it’s underwhelming TBH. the story wants to create constant tension that the chemistry is all lost…sure they have the looks but a lot are missing. im sensing more from Sing and Chinnon in the little time they have together. but of course it’s a tennis match so tension is obvious if that’s what the premise of this series is all about. the writers should have injected a little more character development instead of maybe a flashback in future episodes. this is like watching Heated rivalry minus the heat.

I always admire your reviews and though we don’t always agree I still admire your critical eye. I struggled with this show and had difficulties keeping it together…maybe it’s jus how my brain works. I do agree they acted two roles and is more complex but I couldn’t connect to a genuine romance and maybe it’s their youth and their skills having been honed yet. I do want to see them as they get older and better. For me this wasn’t my favorite for this year but that’s just me, and I always respect your thoughts and reviews.

I did my review on episode 11 stating I am on the fence with this series and wait u til last episode whether I like it or not. TBH and please don’t get upset but the way this show was written and the screenplay left me with more questions. I understand the ending which you have to wait until the credit ends to explain the why…but…in my own opinion the trope of a show within a show within another show is not easy to execute. It’s like watching Nolan’s “Tenet” which is a beautiful movie but needs several rewatch to catch up. Because of this confusion I also struggle with their romance, I was looking or grasping to find it from the beginning and truly never found it even til the end.

It’s ok we see it differently, one is right sided dominant brain while the other is left sided dominant brain.

This show did not disappoint with a strong FL who has now flying skills king funstrength but a strength of character. We are reminded that the strength of a woman is her feminity, courage, and focus and she is all that. So much so she can make the men around her fall for her and our Crown Prince, in spite of his strength could only fall for her. the ending was a perfect way to reveal all the complexities of the past and keep it on an positive note. and I read somewhere how our Prince played his role without revealing the story. The music was equally beautiful and thank you so much for not using too much cheesy CGI’s. worth rewatching in the near future.

The editing is chefs kiss. With 15 minute episodes it’s hard to keep a storyline but this show was able to do it specially with the complex history. the chemistry is there though subtle, typical of a KBL. I specially liked episode 2 which delves deeper into their history. my only wish is that they didn’t look alike but hey can’t win em all. the cap helps.

Though the ending was very appropriate,I need two more episodes. This story has so much more to give and I’m not talking about NC17 though let’s be honest these two wins the “hottest buns” award. I want more of Pakin, and the story of Arthur’s mom Pavinee. Nevertheless the show did not disappoint. worth a rewatch.

episode 11…I love continuous shot scenes starting at 47:58 minutes and for over 3 minutes long…instead of using flashback past conversations reflected his thoughts only to go deep into his dream…or was it a dream. wow. this is how you write a screenplay and perfectly edit every episode. back to square one indeed. and don’t miss the credit.

I know it’s not Darren Wang’s fault but his character is so flat and against the acting of Xiao Zhan, I’m enjoying his relationship with the female lead. nothing like a love triangle to add depth.

it’s refreshing to watch teenagers act as teenagers instead of 20 or even 30 year olds acting as teenagers…not expecting much but enjoying youthfulness

I’ve always been a big fanboy Park Shin Hye but she’s reached a point in her age and career where playing a much younger self doesn’t suit her anymore. Make up can only hide so much but lighting shows her age and one of the areas difficult to hide are the neck skin folds. I believe in none scene a character told her she looks older than her age so at least the writers acknowledge this fact.

Forgice my rant but this is my peeve. I love their chemistry but someone got lazy in the props department. For period series please don’t use a modern hospital with sliding doors, LED lights and new curtains just like what we use at my hospital. so many old building they can use in Thailand. it definitely dampens the mood.
